Ohh, innnn. Thanks! Loved those other two.

I don't understand the US system, so, does that mean he is actually going to jail now for 77 years or not? When is there the option for bail?

Just means he'll be in jail (holding) until trial and cannot be bailed out. Could be a long time between now and when trial begins, no date has been set so he could be in jail for a very long time waiting. If he's convicted he could be sent to prison for up to 77 years; obviously he won't get that much time but hopefully he's convicted on enough charges to do considerable time.

No, so far the prosecution has charged him crimes that can get him up to 77 years in prison. In addition, they've also determined that he's a flight risk or he might harm his ex, so he has to be in custody until his court date.

EDIT: Apparently, Q announced at the end of his Rolling Loud set that his new album is coming Q1 2018. I think Jay Rock's also been done with his follow-up, and Soulo's been close to done with his for a while. Isaiah Rashad's also been teasing new stuff.

Rip to that Nigga, 77 years no bail lmao

Whew. They will sew up his third eye and send him back to the shadow realm and I will applaud them for it

#NoMoreDemons2k18

Migos overrated as fuck still haven't topped that first tape they made like five years ago.

I enjoyed Culture during its release, but man.. I don't give two shits about that record anymore

I never want anyone to complain about Koozek's posts ever again

What's more, while Eminem has received joking flak for having a poor ear for beats, here, he completely revokes Nas' title for the single worst-backed major rap release.

90% of the soundscapes here would have been rejected from an unsigned artist's mixtape

Revival is so uninspired and lost that picking it apart is a hopeless affair.

He's practically an Olympian on 'Offended', pulling out every flow in his grab bag out for a breathless, nearly 6-minute rant, but it can all be reduced to, "I swear when I get up / I'm never gonna let up til everybody eats my turds." This is a 45-year-old man. He uses this on the hook, no less.

Revival ends with the sound of a toilet flushing.

I have to be honest, this review kinda made me want to check out the album out of curiosity.

The review is way more entertaining than the album, honestly. It's depressingly bad, not a fun trainwreck, particularly because there's just so much album on that album. By the 2nd half you want to kill yourself and skip the rest of the tracks, in that order.

I read that his ex had dropped the charges but clearly that's bullshit then. Dude keeps saying he didn't do anything, but I don't believe it at all. Didn't he also recently perform for free for some charity that is against violence against women? Weird dude.

In other news Nelly is looking to sue the woman that accused him of rape earlier this year.

I mean, Culture didn't take much time to come together. It was just delayed due to conflicts with 300. But now that they're signed with QC, I guess they have more control over when they release.

Lmao remember in 2014 when black militants were shook over Macklemore and Iggy taking over hip hop, GKMC losing the Grammy etc. How did that work out for black people? Oh wait, they're still dominating by far.

The biggest rappers remain black. The artists pushing the genre remain black. Most of the new rappers doing it big now are black. Post Malone is doing great numbers wise but there is no trend that suggests its game over for the blacks.

All the trends, style, slang, etc are created by black people. That's not changing anytime soon. This is not jazz or rock n roll, with expensive instruments and music classes: the entry point to make hip hop is low, cheap, and accessible to nearly anyone. Not to mention the white demographic is shrinking.

Listened to some Gucci Mane today, guess I'm just in that mood to listen to stuff I normally never go near to. But I have to say I was enjoying some of that.

This is why I always have to laugh when I read shit like "black rappers are going extinct"; nah, you just aren't paying attention
I mean, the video I posted was from HipHopDX. Hip-Hop is still young. It took Rock, Jazz & Co. a few decades too to become "genretrified" (I just made that word up, please pay me in BTC if you want to use it). And I'm sure in those genres the freshest shit was still being made by black folks too, but the white mainstream wanted the repackaged version instead.

I don't remember the charts ever looking like this before, correct me if I'm wrong though.

Justin Hunt makes terrible videos imo.

I don't think rap is comparable to those genres. Jazz and rock required a certain skill level and equipment (instruments). Those entry points became more expensive and restrictive in later years as music programs faded, young people strayed from the black church (where music programs once churned out major talent), and instrument prices increased. Hip hop has none of those restrictions: all you need is an iMac and free SoundCloud. Or an iPhone.

Also demographics are different. White populations aren't increasing like they were in the 50s and 60s. If anyone is going to take over music it's Hispanics.

A better argument is that black people move on to new sounds they invent, leaving white people to "take over" previous waves. Jazz was the biggest wave in the 30s and 40s. Then rock n roll came, and young blacks gravitated to it. Then they gravitated to r&b, then funk, then disco, then returned to r&b. Then of course hip hop came. I'm sure black people will create something else in the next 20 years.

But right now hip hop is the dominant genre in the country and much of the world. Yea some white artists are doing well...yet none are nearly as big as Drake, Kendrick or Cole. Post Malone is touring small/medium venues right now while the biggest rappers do arenas. The big "new" rappers today are black too. Uzi, Kodak, Yachty, etc. Future has the streets on lock, Cardi is blowing up, etc. What white rapper is doing it on that level?

Btw I don't want to sound like I despise white rap artists. They have every right to make this music, it doesn't exclusively belong to black people. My only problem is when outsiders come in specifically to profit off the music and disrespect the genre. Like Post Malone, and Iggy. Macklemore is cool in my book, even if I dislike his music. I hate on Em but he is hip hop. Mac Miller is great.

DeadEndHipHop seems pretty shook about black rappers going extinct tbh.

I don't buy it. However, there does seem to be a new trend that if you wanna make it big in the public sphere, rap is a good way to get your foot in the door.

that Em album is worth a listen if you're bored. It really is laughably bad, I had a lot of fun.
Okay, I gotta try it out, lol.

Fake-EDIT: 19 tracks???

And lol@the irony of this being in the intro:

Guess he forgot to sit in the car this time.

Lool@Believe. That flow and beat.

LOOOL@Like Home. Wait, Just Blaze co-produced? :grimacing:

This production.

Ah, fuck it. Gonna fast-forward through the rest.

Jesus. This is comically bad.

Right. Macklemore and Miller are cool (though I only listen to Miller), yeah. I have to admit, a year ago I would've more comfortably said that Post is cool too, but now I'm not so sure anymore. Maybe people are too hard on him. He's no Jake Paul.

'good old days' off the most recent macklemore album is a solid pop rap tune.

honestly most of the artists people rip on have at least one or two respectable tracks

Saturation Documentary > Star Wars.
The doc is actually pretty bad. 2 and half hours of random bits of incoherent footage. There's some cool bits like them coming up with the lyrics for Star but it's way too long and there's so much superfluous footage. Glad to have it, it's always cool to see some behind the scenes stuff, but it could be much better.
