I don't know where the 500 pieces info is coming from, but I've pre-ordered the game anyway.

Can anyone confirm if Locoroco 2 got an Asian physical release via Play Asia?

It seems like there is one, as it doesn't mention digital, but hoping someone could validate

If anyone was waiting on the Tokyo Xanadu LE for Vita it's about half price on Amazon right now. ($45.68 as of this posting)

I have a couple of Aksys games in my cart (Drive girls, SG/ZH, Mind Zero and a few others) and their price fluctuates almost every hour. They're really the only ones that do that.

i feel like drivegirl is gonna do 1 of 2 things, either get super rare or flop in price super hard to the point of exist archive

i just wish shiren would hurry and drop below $15 then i can import it without customs screwing me

I've been considering picking it up. I almost bought a copy at GameStop today when I noticed it had dropped to $15 new. I think it's going to drop to a certain price, vanish, and then shoot up again.

I don't know if it's common knowledge already but it appears Sir Eatsalot and Reverie are the two next Play-Asia exclusives to be released.
https://www.play-asia.com/sir-eatsalot-limited-edition/13/70bhl1
https://www.play-asia.com/reverie-limited-edition/13/70bgn5

They are obscure, to say the least.
There's a Reverie game on Steam but the screenshots on Play-asia tell us it's not the same game. It actually looks like an Earthbound bootleg (at least when it's not moving).

Also, Unepic standard edition is now online. Bought it. It has good reviews, I'll try it for myself :)

They both got press releases a while ago, the devs of both (Rainbite & Behind the Stone) have been fairly active on Twitter if you're interested in looking at the games. I did interviews with them on my site too - Rainbite; Behind the Stone

"In theory" most indie games are a good fit on the Switch because they profit from the hybrid way of playing of the console without sacrificing performance.
But I'm not sure I'm willing to migrate every single games from the PS4 to the Switch like that, it would simply start costing way too much :/

What are you doing yourselves ? Preferring the Switch versions ? Keeping your "old" PS4 games ?

Keeping my old Vita games.

Keeping Vita or PS4 for most indie titles. I'll grab the odd Switch physical release - like the Wonderboy remake that's getting a physical Euro release next year. But unless the indie title is one I dearly enjoy I don't feel the need to double dip again on a Switch version, going forward though I may opt for Switch over PS4 as long as performance is identical between both.
Speaking of which, has anyone tried the Slain port for the Switch? I loved it so much I platted the PS4 version, but the Vita version was awfully compromised (barely 30FPS most of the time with horrible freezes every couple of seconds, looked amazing though on the OLED model) so I'd be tempted to get the Switch version to have an actually decent portable version.

keeping my Vita and PS4 versions. I'm not going to spend more money to buy the same game again just for the sake of having it on Switch. imo. Simply don't have the money to migrate everything when I already have versions on two consoles I'm already committed to collecting for. At this rate, I plan on buying Switch for their exclusives and for games I feel are better for the console.

PS4 for everything that's not a Switch exclusive, I like getting trophies and the PS4 ecosystem more.

But what is even the logic of rebuying literally every indie that is re-released on Switch when you already bought and played it elsewhere? Unless it is one with endless replay value you're actually taking advantage of. I mean it's literally a waste of money because you're never gonna replay all of them anyway and there's so many new ones coming out, why rebuy old games that aren't even that old to as to carry some nostalgia or gain much from the portability factor on a current machine.

All your positions make sense !
I'm probably going to do like that. Keeping my PS4/Vita indie games, but buying new ones for the Switch when possible.
(as long as the port is fine. Don't want no Rime disaster)

I just prefer to own the "superior" version of my games. I'be been migrating my pre-HD games to the PS4 when I could.

And in theory indie games can often have their superior version on the Switch since they're the same game with an extra feature (portability). But the improvement is pretty marginal this time, I agree, so I don't feel as compelled to upgrade.

You talking about retail versions right? I would only do that with your absolute favorites. Like games you could replay every now and then. There is no point in rebuying all games you play once and then probably never again. It's nice to have everything on one platform but imagine what you could do with that money, especially since you already own them on another platform.

Well if a game is exactly the same except it can be played in dock mode or in handheld, it is (even if slightly) somewhat superior.

Whatever, like I said I won't be migrating everything cause it's irrealistic financially :p
unrealistic financially is something I consider. :P

Like buying 4 cover variants of 29.99 Game. Like damn. I can buy 3 other games with that money.

Migrating a game also implies you sell the older one, though. Otherwise that's just crazy ^^
Like I've just bought Return to Arkham for 15 euros thinking I'll be able to resell my old Arkham Asylum + Arkham City for 10-15€

But yeah, totally agreing with the alternative covers thing. You have to be in a very specific fullsetting mind to indulge in such an extravagant expenditure :x

Do you guys buy everything you even have a slight interest in physical if available? I am always debating with myself but I choose going digital for games I think I only play once most of the time. I feel like I waste money and space if I just put them on the shelf after playing them once and never again. But I also don't consider myself a collector.

I buy physical games that I like. The only system that I am collecting for right now is PS Vita. But as for other systems, It really depends on the game. I am not planning to collect for the switch, right now I only own 4 physical games all are switch exclusisvs that I don't feel like reselling or either haven't had the chance to finish them.

Also, I used to buy a lot of ps4 games in the first 3 years of the console release. My PS4 library exceeded 140 physical titles. But right now I simply stopped going crazy about it. It is really difficult to collect for. I enjoy collecting as a seprate hobby from gaming. I used to collect coins and bank notes when I was younger.

Would be all over the Switch release of Slain but the port is meh. Even post patch. Anyone saying it runs "at a consistent 60fps" is lying.

Yeah, it is an incredibly disappointing port.

Note for anyone who wants a physical copy of Slain- there are already PS4 and Vita versions that came out in Europe. I bought a PS4 copy of the LE version off Amazon.

Glad I didn't buy it then. I was fooled into the Vita version and it runs like garbage (like, almost 30FPS I guess but with constant stutter/freezing). PS4 port is a silky smooth 60FPS though, runs perfectly and I love it. Pity the other ports suck though, the game deserves better, its great.

Vita version was ok pre patch but had that game breaking bug iirc. once that was fixed, performance tanked harder. PS4 version is great. Wsa hoping the Switch release would give me a good portable version but nope. Erratic performance even after patch. Super disappointing. I really like the actual game. GOt a PS4 physical.

Really? Didn't realise that Slain got a downgrade on the Vita. I think i only played it post patch. PS4 version is definitely the way to go.
