Head's up! New info for Not a Hero!

Since there's not much on this video, i think it doesn't needs it's own thread. But for fans who are looking into Not a Hero or knowing more about Chris's next portrayal:

The Residence of Evil channel has been doing a lot of great interviews with the cast of the most recent and older games. Now they are releasing a entire podcast with David Vaughn (the new actor behind Chris Redfield), which will be released on October 30th.

If you're worried about spoilers, it's not that type of video. There is only one little detail that he talks about that is inside the content of Not a Hero, but there is warning right before it happens.

I've started playing REmake for the first time (I never finished the original RE), and it's pretty damn cool. I always thought it was just the original game but with the B-Movie dialogue changed, but there seems to be a lot of differences, which keep throwing me off.

I'm playing as Jill (obviously) and I've just found the room with the shotgun. I've not played the original in years, so I'm not sure in what order you do things, but I thought I remembered doing the bit in the sort of bar area in the room in the first zombie corridor where you
play Moonlight Sonata to open up a wall, then swap the emblem to open the door that locks (or something along those lines)
as one of the first things you do on the game.

Also, I seem to recall there being RE2 and 3 on the GameCube. Were they remakes in this style, or just ports? I never see much mention of them, but I'm sure I remember seeing them in shops.

I remember renting RE3 at the time being amazed I didn't know they remade it...
lol
Lol.

I need to actually sit an play through all the RE games at some point though. I've only played a bit of 1, the first like 10 minutes of 2 and 3, and up to the spider(?) boss on 5.

But yeah, I'm really enjoying REmake. I'm missing the things like "I hope this is not CHRIS'S blood" etc. but I'm appreciating how atmospheric it is compared to the original. Being able to walk up stairs is revolutionary through lol.

Going back through the enemy designs of the series, it just really emphasizes how lame RE 7 was in that regard. We go from 30 different enemy types in RE 5 and 84 different enemy types in RE 6 to a grand total of maybe 5 in RE 7.

Personally think there is such a thing as too many. RE1 has like 12 or something and that including bees and crows. RE2 and 3 don't have many either. It makes the encounters memorable and the enemies better for it. RE5 bringing back lickers wasn't great because they were 1 of 50 enemies in RE2.

Worst face, best costume design(most fitting and practical).
I wish they had gone with any of their other head options though

Look so good.
The one on the right that resembles the Stars outfit looks so damn good.

It's sad that they didn't go with that one.

Except for the cleavage.
I can easily forgive it on that particular costume,
It isn't a ridiculous level and wetsuits can be hot as hell when you aren't actually wet.

Nah, they are just bad designs. Umbrella Chronicles has one of the best outfits for Jill:
Only thing that bothers me with that outfit is that Jill isn't wearing a vest while Chris is,
its a nitpick that drives me crazy.
I liked both their other concepts as well

I'm very curious about the original ending. I wonder if they will ever reveal what it was.

I'm playing through RE4 again and I think I love this game more my second time through.

The biggest gripe I had with this game were the controls my first time through but this time they don't seem to be cumbersome at all now. Weird.

The music is more outstanding this time and I'm impressed with the pacing far more than I remembered .

Just made it to the lake monster fight and took a break. Forgot how tough this can be.

The rest of the game has been a cakewalk the second time around.

I also bought code Veronica X on the psn sale but those controls legit made me quit. Fuck that shit.

Tell me, what do you think of RE4 Ada?

Good stuff with the La Femme Nikita cosplay going on.

Which would be fine if the Molded weren't simply vaguely humanoid blobs with little design put into it. You got vaguely humanoid blob #1 which attacks with it's arms and then you got vaguely humanoid blob #2 which has a knife for an arm. That's it.

Worst face, best costume design(most fitting and practical).
I wish they had gone with any of their other head options though

Look so good.

All of that is far better than what we got. Just not a fan of the wet suit look in game, though.

Thanks for the video. While Rodger Craig will always be my Chris, I'm interested to see how this voice actor will handle him.

Yeah, BSAA Chris looks pretty dumb in REmake lol. I think Jill looks great in her BSAA outfit though.

I love Veronica apart from a few things (Neo-Wesker, Steve, Moths), probably my third favourite after REmake and 2.

Best save room music as well

The Internet
I'm starting to believe that the days of new Resident Evil titles are quickly disappearing, however, instead we'll get bi-yearly HD Remasters of legacy titles (which I'm fine with haha). Ideally, Capcom would go all-in and return to Resident Evil: Outbreak a game well before its time, and an idea/genre that should be returned to given how popular survival and online games are now. But then, I know that's just a pipe dream.
