I absolutely loved that episode.

Felt like a kid watching throughout, I thought this season was a little out there, even for me.

The build up was fantastic and Fitz perspective was perfectly timed.

2 weeks!?!? :(

So Torchwood Boy on Youtube has a theory about Lance Hunter for later this season in his latest video and i really like it. Putting in spoilers because i think its going to happen now.
..... Lance and Bobbi are Dekes parents.

Awesome episode.

When I was rewatching season 4 on Netflix, I was wondering what happened to the girl and her mom after Robbie Reyes asked Daisy to keep an eye on his brother. I was like, "Good luck with that, she was suppose to keep an eye on another kid from the previous season, and she'll be in space the next season, lulz."

It was actually addressed and in a great way.

Man, I must've misheard the year Coulson and crew were in, cause I thought they were like 400 years in the future, not fucking 70. The people on the space station made it appear as if there were already generations of people living on it. This doesn't add up in my head.
70 years is 3 generations. Although they thought the station was built about 90 years ago. But Deke didn't really know how long it had been there.

Nah the math doesn't add up for that to be the case. If we say he's conservatively 35, and they are 30 in the current time, then they would've had him when they were almost 70. As cool as that would be, it can't mathematically be possible

It's amazing how Fitz's life through the show has culminated into this. The on-the-job training and killing, all the suffering, his brainpower, and Iain's acting ability. After all of that and now he gets to be some kind of space hero.

It could be handwaved that with how advanced mcu is that 20 years ago the station was something shield or some government made in case of a extinction level event

Amazing how a show that I stopped watching after an awful pilot turned itself around to be one of my favorite shows. I can't remember the last time they had an episode that bored me.

This is too true. I thought it would just be some junk spin-off at first. Glad I stuck through to see beast Fitz

All this pilot/S1 talk got me thinking.. what are the odds of Coulson doing this
heavy-metal-movie-coru9uo4.jpg

with Lola before the space stuff is up? Maybe Bobbi and Lance stored it away in the Lighthouse?

Just caught up, such a great ep Fitz remains the best character in the show, and having hunter back was great. I like that it showed him being brought up to speed, rather than ignoring it. I tight lmd Fitz would have been a good moment but the mystery of enouch was much better.and remembering season 2 with the Robin sculpture was a great throw back.

Can't wait for next ep

It kind of checks out. The ELE happens sometime in the present. Anyone born during that time would be 70 in the future and would have zero knowledge of the world prior (and there aren't many elderly as far as we can tell). The Kree show up. Limit knowledge and probably get rid of anyone trying to spread it/organize. Makes sense that in a few generations (generations are usually considered to be about 20-30 years) people would have lost most advanced knowledge under those conditions and yet it's not too far that Sharknado couldn't have been passed down in some shape or form. But I do agree the timeline is a little tight for my liking.

For anyone confused or taken aback by the short timeframe following the ELE.

There are relatively contemporary examples of how active a society can be systemically changed by a policy to deny education.

South Africa in the 60s to the 90s is an example.

One thing I'm bothered by is S.H.I.E.L.D. being dissolved again. Very curious to see how they handle that in the second half of the season but I'm not big on the idea overall.

it can't actually affect the mcu and SHIELD existing would be a big deal especially with Sam Jackson is popping up in Infinity war

so dissolve it so we don't have to mention it

Well, not really. Fury had nothing to do with the new S.H.I.E.L.D. when it came out to the public.

I just don't get why they would have a season 4 plot line be that of them coming out of the shadows only to immediately go back on it. But we'll see what happens.

I said this on GAF

but if you just go through each season of shield and just talk about the plots and subplots....they pack so much shit in there

Remember the mutiny between Mac and Bobbi with REALSHIELD

I thought season 2 was amazing but yeah the "real" SHIELD stuff was kinda long-winded. Wanted to see them working together sooner.

But ever since then I've had no issue with the pacing of the show, they've done a great job.

Too bad a lot of the REAL SHIELD guys are dead

it always bother me because I was thinking what the fuck were they doing that a) coulson team never knew they existed not even whispers b) we never heard about them doing anything before they appeared

even worse when they had better resources and technology and a mini army

I hated "real SHIELD" so much. Coulson and his team out there fighting the good fight and then these shits try to secretly overthrow them because they don't like how Coulson does things or whatever. So what have you guys accomplished then? Oh you sat around in your aircraft carrier doing nothing? Cool, I'm sure your opinions are valid then.

Disliked Mack for a while there being on their side and his dumbass arguments. Thank god they turned him around again. #TeamShotgunAxe

I am SO happy that made its way into the future. Fitz knows what Mack needs.

I just realized Fitz went on his trip without thinking about how to come back.

And this last ep proves why AOS is goat. They setup shit for arcs later on

Yeah SHIELD is one of the few shows like it where it doesn't feel like they're just making shit up as they go. Everything seems well thought out and planned in advance.

I can see some fuckery with Fitz, since he went to the future the "conventional" way.

I don't often say this, but I need plot armor to be on at all times, can't take any of these dudes dying, including Yo-Yo despite her being newish. Last season with Mack was STRESSFUL.

And it goes without saying that Fitz and Jemma are the most precious.
