I get you. Hmm... How can I be strict with rotations? Is it as simple as placing him in a specific slot with Goku Black on my team screen, or is there more to it? Thanks!

Basically, if you want two units to be together, keep them in the 1/2 slot. That way when it loops around, they'll usually be in the same group of 3 still.

Ah, damn. So I wouldn't be able to do that with my Goku set as lead, right? I wonder if I should just ditch Zamasu and throw in a trash filler. How important is the Stun ability, nowadays? Is it useful to have a stun character in every team?

Well, the order your characters appear is random at the start of each stage. So your UI Goku won't be first most of the time. I apologize for being unclear, but i meant the first and second spots of your group of 3 in battle. Those two will reappear two turns later, and you can do it again.

When you get into battle, you'll have 3 random characters in your first turn. The first 2 characters that attack will always appear again in 2 turns, and the 3rd attacker will appear again in 3 turns. This is how all turns work. You can manipulate this to put whatever cards you need into whatever turns - it sometimes just takes a few rotations to get right, so you may not get it correct until later in the battle.

So, if you get lucky and Merged Zamasu + Goku Black show up in the same turn right away, just make sure they attack first and second and they'll show up that way again in 2 turns. If they're not in the same rotation, you'll need to have one of them attack 3rd so that they eventually meet up in a few turns.

EDIT: Damn I'm super late.

Ahh, I get it, now! Thanks so much, guys!

As far as characters with Stun Abilities/Passives, are they good to have in any event, or just for certain battles? If so, I guess I could rid Zamasu for Demigra, but I don't have any dupes for him, so he'll just be a weak stunner and nothing more.

Stuns are decent if they're a high chance to stun. And if the event allows the stun to happen. Many newer Dokkan events don't let you stun or seal.

Decided to do one multi on the Gohan banner and managed to pull him. Kinda hard to be excited though since I'm sure I'll never get the 2 LRs that that team needs.

when rearranging units on the battle screen, make sure Goku Black and Merged Zamasu are always in the first and 2nd slot. That way they will always be in rotation together. The 3rd Slot floats around to every 3rd round, but the first 2 slots always are every 2nd round.

My villains team looks so sad compared to my heroes team (I've settled on this for now, I've got many options in the heroes team, contrary to the villains).

Yup, I pulled on the VB banner as opposed to Rose just because I have so much more versatility for heroes. Right now my lineup is

Teq VB
SSJ4 Gogeta
SSJ4 Goku
SSJ4 Vegeta
Phy Vegito
SSJ3 Bardock

I did not really like SSJ4 Vegeta on this team, he links for crap. SSJ4 Goku is slightly better, but also not great, but him being rainbow helps keep him on. Besides, replacing him with Ultimate Gohan doesn't really help for ki, he is even worse.

PHY Vegito was in my team along with Vegeta for a while, but I like PHY Godtenks with AGL Super Vegito quite a bit.

Realizing that exact fact about SSJ4 Vegeta. Trying to decide, but leaning towards EZA SSJ3 Goku. I'm only really running SSJ4 Goku because I'm really lacking in STR cards across the board.

Super Vegito is good but I fell in love with SSJ4 Gogeta, he is making doable to Dokkan some of my characters, already done with Rose and Vegito Blue

Did two pulls on the Ultimate Gohan banner and was rewarded with jack shit. Five copies of Tracksuit Gohan and a bunch of generic R and SR trash.

My only SSR was the old-ass STR Triple Kamehameha Goku from the very first Broly Dokkan event.

Screw Gohan, and screw this banner.

Just dokkaned STR Zamasu and realized that I'm pretty close to being able to pull off a full Zamasu team. My Extreme team is already has Rose, Black, LR Rose+Black, and Merged.

Gohan banner looks like you could leave it in the woods to catch a bear. No thanks.

I already have rainbowed LR Androids. Does that mean I'll just get a bunch of mission rewards as soon as they come out? We've had that sort of thing happen before, right?

So I downloaded this and its fun, but I can safely say I have no idea what I am doing.

I just keep getting 5 stones and getting new people and I like all of them, but have no idea what any of them do beyond their supers or leader abilities.

Like how do I build teams?

Who goes good together?

Is just stacking your best cards the best thing to do?

Should I ever play a R over a SR or an SR over a SSR?

My last slots for the Shadow Dragon team are very open right now. One is nearly locked by VB (3 paths opens, SA10), but for the other, I just can't seem to decide. Current choices, knowing that the team is Omega + SSJ4 Gogeta + SSJ4 Vegeta + Trunks GT STR (+ VB) :

Is it normal to start out with like 19ish stones? This goes for both versions of the game, yet I see all these people on google start out with like 200 stones.

I must've missed out on something special I guess.

Also why is my low level SR hitting harder than a higher level SSR?

Is a low level SSR better than a high level SR always?

Is there a rhyme or reason to team building?

Should I be focusing on a particular type? (Str, Agl, etc etc) Or is it better to mix and match?

Its probably becuase if the SRs awakened then they do more damage. Also depends on the SSRs.

My advice, save stones for a multisummon on the Ultra Instinct Goku banner becuase you gets tickets which gives you a guaranteed SSR multi summon.

Which SSRs do you have, you could reroll the account to start with some good units.

Edit: or just listen to Noray becuase he said everything so much better than me.

hoo boy. Okay, there are 2 things in this game that matter above all when it comes to cards and team building: leader skills and passives. Leader skills come in tiers, but the good ones typically give +3 ki and 50/70/120/150% to HP/Attack/DEF to all cards of one type or category. Generally, whatever your most powerful leader is, that's what you wanna build your team around, because the stat boost is the most important determiner of team strength. Card color is a secondary concern that should only come into play once you have leaders of equal strength for multiple types, like say a 120% super STR leader (SSJ4 Goku) and a 120% Extreme PHY leader (Cooler). The other major factor in team building is link skills, but again, this is secondary to making sure that every unit on your team benefits from your chosen Leader Skill. By and large, if you think 2 characters should link well together, because they're both super saiyans, or because rose and zamasu are basically the same person, or because cooler and frieza are bros, they generally do. For example, many SSJ cards have Prepared for Battle, which gives +2 ki. Assuming you start with 6ki from leader skills (yours and friend's), that means you only need to get 4ki to Super when that link is active.

Passives are the biggest determiner of card strength, all else being equal (assuming cards are awakened and max level, as that's pretty much instantly doable once you've been playing for a little while). Passives come in many shapes and sizes but the rule of thumb is: % attack boosts are the best, the higher the better. The good cards typically have 80/100/120% attack boosts on their passive. Flat boosts, like, say, +7000 attack, are a lot less powerful because they don't scale as well with leader skills (and potential system buffs, but this doesn't come into play until rank 50).

The first unit on your team uses the leader skill for the team for example cell gives STR types a 70% attack HP and Def buff. You need a unit that gives a good leader skill. For example you have cell and Buu, go villans for the game so if you run Goku black Rosé who gives villans +3ki and 50% attack HP and Def buff then the team can run better. Like I said dragon ball is some complicated shit. (Not really but the game is not very beginner friendly.)

He's fine considering you just started the game but units when get a better leader then switch him out of leader position. Like I said a unit like Rosé covers all villans which is more beneficial to your team

If you want to see the games database

But please Dokkan, just keep giving me that card instead of literally any other card, I beg you.

Quoting myself here. I've crossed Kaioken Goku from SSGSS Vegeta and Goku Black from my list I think. Never thought but that Gotenks seems quite good, and he'll also be in my Fusions team, so I could invest in him. Now that's between him, Kale, Kaioken Goku and FP Frieza.

I'd actually recommend getting a support unit for the last slot. The team itself does enough damage so someone like Pan or SSJ phy adult Gohan who gets a good dokkan and gets the highest unconditional support boost.

This card

And if you ever pull PHY Sun Shenron then replace Vegito blue for him because of how well he can tank while being a excellent link for Omega.

If not then FP Freeza shares the Big bad bosses link with omega when their hp is less than 80% which is very good.

Hey, recent player there, I've been playing the game for 3 months now and I can assure you that I was just as lost as you are in the beginning. Keep in mind that you don't need to understand every little detail right now, just concentrate on the leader skill and the links to get a better feel of which teams you can build with your current roster, the rest will come from there.
The most important thing I would advise to do you is to STOP doing single pulls as soon as you get 5 stones! Right now you need SSR cards, so you should be saving up stones and do multi-pulls on the banners that guarantee you an SSR, either directly like the upcoming Warrioress of the Universe 6 one, or indirectly like the UI Goku one we have right now. Choosing when and where to spend your stones is probably the most important thing when starting any gacha game. ^^

I don't have those, so I thought PHY Gotenks would be good for sealing with the added bonus of doing good damage (is there ever enough damage? :D)

If new SSJ4s are the next big cards after the new VB and Rose, then I may just stop playing. The idea that they're literally just going back through the same character rotation again and just selling us new better versions of them is absurd.

I'd like to see them experiment on very powerful category teams with low power characters. Such as WT category, or Oozaru. Some ridiculous boosts that would put the cards back on track.
But in the end, there is a finite amount of characters they can release cards on. So maybe a new mechanic to introduce? Seems unlikely knowing how it would be a balance-hell.
