So the Kingdom anime is bad?
Pretty much. Megas change typings, stats, abilities, and several of the designs even feel like they could've been an actual evolution for Pokemon that needed them. So while I dislike how they're temporary, I totally get why people are upset that they're gone, it really fucks up certain Pokemon.
Gigantamax on the other hand, meh, I'm not particularly crazy about it compelling you do use certain Pokemon either, but they're all these blatantly outlandish kaiju designs. None of them work as evolutions from what I've seen (including Alcremie :P), and G-Moves are pretty whatever. So I'm not really gonna feel cheated when it inevitably gets removed, it's just obviously the gimmick for this gen.

To be completely fair, back when season 1 and 2 aired, from 2012 to 2014, Kingdom was not that popular, it could be compared to Golden Kamui currently. Kingdom only exploded in popularity in 2015 (and then received another boost in 2019). That doesn't excuse the fact that they cut an entire arc, but still.
We could see a jump in quality for season 3 (there already was a huge jump in quality between the first two seasons, but it was still not good enough) seeing that Kingdom is currently the 3rd/4th best selling manga in sales per volume currently
(OP #1, AoT #2, HxH is dead and Kimetsu's latest volume sold faster than any Kingdom volume, but that's because of the ongoing hype, the first volume to come out after the end of the hype should sell at a slower rate)
The arc that is going to be adapted is also the one considered to be the best in the manga
