Whats the secret to getting bridgelink high. Mine is a quarter of that and im lvl 100
Leave out a bunch of structures and signs for other people. I spent a good three hours just building bridges, roads, generators, safe houses, postboxes and watchtowers around and I've gotten a bunch of likes doing that.

I got credit for this road on my server (if that's how that works?) and went from level 2 in bridges to 44 in an hour

Sweet!, I'm not sure how the server stuff works, but it's very cool 😎. My stats are all good apart from delivery time. I suck at that!
As for likes, I went to bed, and woke up with an extra 4000 likes when I logged on! So your structures will be seen by many people!

Is there some sort of list view to see all your structures so you can dismantle them, or do you have to remember and find them all on the map?

Question as someone who hasn't played yet but will tonight, does this mean when I start the game I will see this road because this is part of the social building system, or...? :)
Nah because

  • You need to connect the area to the Chiral Network first
  • Even after that, you won't see the road be built unless you either complete it yourself with the required materials (takes a while) or build it with other players by chipping materials in. This also takes a while

So how does everyone in here like it so far?

Most people seem very positive on it. But what you have seen so far gameplay wise is what you get... that should be enough to decide whether you'll like it or not.

However to play the devils advocate: people also vouched for Ghost Recon break point in the ot.

OT's in my opinion are quite biased when a game launches..which is bound to happen because people who thought the game looks interesting got the game lol

I think I get it, a little confusing but does that mean not everyone is on the same "server" so to speak.
Just because you built a road, doesn't mean everyone will see it, just a select few by random?

I need a video guide, damn!

I've started the game last night and am about 2 ish hours in. Loving the overall game setting so far. The beginning starts quite slowly and didn't get to play much yet but I'm fine with that.
My only complain is that the UI is damn tiny on a 1080p screen (I suppose it's better on a 4k screen?) and I'm having troubles figuring out which button the game indicates me to press. Had a look in the options but didn't see anything that would allow to render that interface bigger. Oh well, I guess it doesn't really matter once you get a good understanding of how it plays.
Looking forward to keep playing today in any case!

It's kind of hard to explain, but imagine 100 or so people are on the same 'server'. At certain parts in the game, you'll see their structures around and about. When it comes to things like roads, you still have to contribute in order to see them completed, but say you're walking around, you might spot a bridge someone made or a ladder or a bike they left out for someone like you. And you can do the same for them knowing you're helping other people. It's a cool system.

10 hours in and I'm loving every minute of it. I'll wait until I'm done with the game for a full personal review, but so far this game has one of the most creative worlds with one of the most unique gameplay loops I've experienced in a long time. This game is the Dark Souls of walking simulators.

Yeah, I've read that the game can be quite frustrating, because a mission can take a long ass time.

I am really undecided on that, I probably wait for the the PC release in Summer 2020.

Better looking than RDR2?

Nah. It's a fucking stunning game to be sure. Photogrammetry on environments in particular create some outrageously beautiful landscapes. Decima is really being put to work here. At times, sure, it does look better than Red Dead Redemption 2 if just because of the naturalistic, photo realistic texture patterns and whatnot. But other times it falls under. Forests/trees don't look as nice as RDR2, noticeably so. It has the same issues Horizon had in rendering its open world; texture filtering falling apart over distance due to a seemingly total lack of anisotropic filtering, there's pop-in, lighting issues in some super dark interiors, etc.

It's easily one of the best looking games on the system by far, and it'll hold up well. Much like the fact it's getting a PC port, I wouldn't be surprised if it's patched up for PS5, ironing out various Decima quirks and limitations from the PS4 Pro headroom.

Finished chapter 3 after roughly 23 hours... that ending was great.
Now I am in chapter 4...
and I guess this is gonna be intense as hell.

The lore behind this game is crazy, how does Kojima come up with this shit? Everything has been pretty well explained so far too.

I love that the Mules run to hide in their tents when it starts to rain. The suckers let me right through into their camp and I stole everything while they stood out the rain.

I guess opposite of a devil's advocate, I've been very down on this game before release but have found many things to like about it

But still a little less positive than others on here mind

Yeah this is truly something special.

I can now

Nope, resolution doesn't help.
Moving closer to the TV/a bigger screen would.

Or in my case not being a stupid astigmatic.

It's funny because if any of us did (and I did) it's because it was still quite fun to play, in spite of being a technical mess with disappointing design choices.

For some, it appears Death Stranding is the inverse of that lol

Started playing with worry that I wouldn't like it or would find it boring.

18h later (chapter 4 after the intro sequence) and how is this game so much fun? The online portion is really addictive (helping each other with items, buildind roads and stuff)

I'm so glad that contrary to others, this game was made for me
