Team compose so far
World Tree Drop Rex + Loin cloth
Critical Mythra
Critical Zenobia
Entourage Sheba

#4 default blade
Newt
Theory

NIa Overclock band
Dromarch
Ursula
Book girl

Use mythra to build S to L3, keep rotating blades to build WTD %, when #4 Breaks, Topple with Mythra, Launch with Zenobia and while enemy is ln the air, SIII Sheba, then run and collect the money for extra 10% bonus for each coin collected (even more if #2 follows up with smash) you end up with almost 150% Extra damage from Rex (150% + 200% for Sheba)

Really enjoying the game, and story. I have to say, though. The game tries really hard to be funny, and the humor falls flat most of the time. Nothing on the level of a game like Persona 4.

Just started the game yesterday, and finished chapter 2 today. Loving it, other than RNG shenanigans. Especially loving the character interactions.

My god Monolith is great at making locations. Taking in the views from Xenoblade games is always beautiful.

Man this game is so chatty though. OT title is earned.

Interesting

I had to scroll through all my collectibles for the game to register them toward my Affinity Chart goals.

That is an odd odd design.

Aegean now has Ancient Wisdom just doing this

That shouldn't be necessary. I leveled up Aegean's Ancient Wisdom for the one bit in Ch. 7 just by collecting five bugs in the spider cave. I collected them in the field and it applied in the field without me ever going into the menus.

As someone who did not focus on rare blades and sidequests until postgame, there is so much voiced content to them. NPCs that I thought stood out in towns ended up being voiced in lots of them. They do add a sense of spontaneity to a linear game, although in my opinion the game feels open world once more and more areas are added, just like the first game.

110 hours in and finally beat the story.

It was a good run and I enjoyed it. But there is no way in hell I'm going back for more.

What the fuck is up with the fast travel way points in this game?

I'll go to do a side quest and like half the fast travel points won't work despite being lit up like they are available, the game just beeps at me.

And to make it even stranger, sometimes a node won't work, but if I move up one location and click and then go back to the one that wasn't working it suddenly will work?

It's making doing side quests into a fucking chore of running around and I can't figure out why it would do this.

I've put up with a lot of this game's bullshit over 230 hours, but chapter 10 is taking the cake.

I can't beat Morag with Rex one on one

I've lost ten times in a row now because there's just no way I can inflict meaningful damage before I die. Why? Why is this happening and who thought it was a good idea? Shouldn't this be a story beat that resolves itself no matter what you do? And what can I do at this point? I'm starting to feel like I've hit a game-ending bug within an inch of the finish line.

I hear you. I got lucky somehow. but it took forever. I was using Kora since she was the only healing blade I had available. Just had to perfectly execute every cancel and make sure to get those healing potions

If you have played 230+ hours, you should have at least 1 or 2 accessoroes that will heal on attack/art/crit etc. Use those.

Just put 2 healing blades and keep attacking the moment your life goes close to 1/3 rotate , spam all arts to heal and go back to attack

Finally got around to playing some more of this after getting through Xmas & being sick immediately afterwards. Still in Chapter 6, 78 hours in & just got to Tantal and MAAAAAAAAAN - this is what I come to these games for, always love the snow environments.

I don't have two healing blades available, and even if I decided to blow through a bunch of crystals, they would be piss weak. This is mind-blowingly bad game design here. I'm scratching my head trying to think of something worse.

How have you played for 230 hours, or even 100 hours, and don't have 2 healing blades? That doesn't add up.

Electra made these fights laughable. Healing while blocking is a beautiful thing.

Just pair her up with 2 healing blades.
Mine were not leveled. Just put decent chips on them. You must have a couple healing blades somewhere... if not then wtf have you been doing?

I have no idea what Godfrey is. All I know is he has zero field skills of any actual use and I spent half an hour salvaging for his quest without getting anywhere.

Pretty sure the update bugged this out. Hopefully they unbug it in.

Use a tank with damage heal aux core. It will come handy.

Godfrey is God Cloth Seiya and all the 90s shonen anime hero rolled into one. If you don't like him you're on the wrong side of JUSTICE.

Maybe they are unavailable because of cloud sea? Some side quests will lock you out from some fast travel points. And if you use right stick to select travel point, sometimes it won't work for whatever reason so its best to select using left stick/dpad.

I found that a Katana tank with a good chip worked wonders for that early chapter 10 section.

Re: Fast Travel points just beeping at you. I've had that since day one. Either keep hammering the confirmation button on the point or wiggle the stick off the point and try again. Weird programming behavior for sure, but a minor annoyance.

Well I finished it at 140 hours with one rare blade missing and some rare blade sidequests left undone. I'm so ambivalent on this game. It does so many things right in so many respects and I loved the ending. But man some of the middle chapters and characters I really did not appreciate.

Opening crystals is honestly worse than farming them. Takes so long.

It's really bad. I used 20 legendary cores and did not get one rare blade. Not to mention hundreds of rares. It's really really badly designed.

Ugh grinding trust in this game is fucking terrible. I get to a point where a story mission is asking for Nopon wisdom higher then I currently have. I check out one blade and see i have about 1000 trust to grind. So I proceed to grind/do side quests other shit. I am distracted and just keep going. This takes a really long time to even get the trust I need to unlock the tier to work on the skill. Granted I was lost alot but it got done. Then I have to go through the monotonous task of actually talking to 40 nopons. Why this isn't counting every nopon I already spoke with eludes me as other skills clearly have this function for other data points. I get to 35 Nopons and the game "suddenly closes" and asks if I want to send a error report.

So I'm sitting here wondering 5 hours after I started playing tonight why this game only autosaves on core crystals. Why not at the inn, why not after every quest, why not after set metrics. I've never had any game crash on before and I don't think it will happen again but certain aspects of this game have been a complete chore to deal with and losing a whole night's worth of progress probably would have broke me. The only reason I didn't lose everything was I did a rare blade quest and bound a blade. If i didn't do that my save would have put me another 3 hours behind that at the start of a chapter as thats the only places they tend to ask you to save.

I want to like this game so bad but it really does not respect your time.

Just doing end game activities. I just opened 15 more legendary cores, 26 rares cores, and 55 regular. Still no Kos-Mos in my 100 hours. She's the last rare blade I need from the drop pool too. I'm pretty much completely done with the game, so I guess I'll never have her on my squad haha. And yes, opening so many cores is such a chore. Had to do it while watching TV or I'd go crazy.

Yup. Sometimes when the camera pans around during cutscenes I can't believe how bad the background textures look. There's a clash in visual quality that gives me bad memories of FF XIII Lightning Returns.

100 hours and not one crash was nice though. At least the gameplay never felt buggy for me.

This motherfucker.

I am in what I believe to be the middle of chapter 8 and have come to the conclusion that I REALLY hate Rex.

This feeling snuck up on me.

The fact that he is so broken now that it becomes irresponsible NOT to use him upsets me greatly.

Think I got the first "half" of chapter 7 done and am about to venture somewhere else. Man that first bit was rough in terms of design and all. Easily my least favorite hour or two in the game.

Whelp, finished Chapter 8. It was fun going through overleveled.

Are the people experiencing crashes playing digital or physical? I'm past 80 hours with no crashes on physical. Then again, I make a point of saving after major fights, cutscenes, quest progress, etc, so maybe crashes only affect people who would lose significant progress from them.

The amount of people that don't read the quest objectives I swear.

My friend was like where can I get a blade with Nopon Wisdom? I was like, just do the merc mission. But then I have to waut for it to finish. I'm like by the time you would actually get the blade the merc mission would be done. Just do the mission.

Squage peg, round hole.

I have a physical cart and have had one soft lock previously and had my first full crash today.
