Billy is somewhere living the good life. He owns a small shop, has this awesome beard and goes by another name.

On the other hand if they ever find him, couldn't Rebecca vouch for him?

At this point Billy could definitely be "cleared of charges". Especially if they incorporated something like "investigator was going through his cold case and some sort of the evidence came up clearing him".

Guess DLC costumes don't count?

Otherwise these might be some of the worst designs...

That I still absolutely love. ;-)

The dress does look good and I do like it, but not in that context. This is the least practical and appropriate outfit she could wear on that sort of mission, in that place.

well, i just realized rev 2 on pc does toggle to 30fps. why did i get that mixed up? i thought it was locked at 60fps. i guess i got it mixed up with the ps4 version or i was looking at kingdom hearts remasters for ps4 and maybe mixed that up with revelations 2.

Resident Evil 6 is the Mass Effect Andromeda of last gen: solid core gameplay while the rest is chasing market trends and throwing them into the game because that's the hot thing right now. The game truly shines during Mercenaries mode and some of Chris' campaign* where you get to explore the combat uninterrupted. Cutscenes weren't too bad either, the final boss of Leon/Ada's campaign is hilarious and the entire plot is basically about a middle aged man being so angry that girls don't pay attention to him that he turns into a t-rex.

Completed Not A Hero. Well, that was... dull. The final battle was bland.

Come on now, its fine to hate 6 but that is absolutely ridiculous.
That is the one campaign besides Ada's maybe that actually worked.
I have a completely different opinion then, ha.

The Chris/Piers campaign for me is the worst part of RE 6. I know there are people who liked that part of the game, but honestly if they cut out that section and concentrated on the Jake/Sherry and Leon/Helena sections it would have been so much better. Especially after playing third person shooters like Vanquish and Binary Domain from the Same gen, its baffeling to see the Chris campaign as it is. The Sokavia part is passable, but everything else is so uninspired and bland. It doesn't stand out. Its a by the numbers tps slog.

Chris and Piers campaign was best in the game by far imo. It knew what the game was about and didn't pretend otherwise.

Soooo I still haven't actually gotten around to playing RE7 (despite being a franchise fan since way back in '96) due to being deployed when it came out and just getting distracted.... that and I was honestly sad it wasn't animu-action RE.
That being said, I finally picked it up (thanks Amazon price error!) and came up with a New Year's Resolution of replaying all entries available on PS4 leading to RE7 :)

Wish me luck!

Yeah thats the reason I liked it as well.
You got a pretty good creepy part with invisible Yawn, great partnership story with Piers and the final section felt the best of all of them personally.

Couldn't agree more. That campaign alone made me like RE6 much more than that twisted and superficial version of "horror" it was trying to bring. Also, it has one of the best character developments in the series and a very important set of emotional moments (that ending man).

Coming back to a early topic, Leon is not even on my top 3 of favorite characters inside the frnachise, but damn, he has the best looks (alongside Jill, of course):

Anyhow, happy new year folks! I hope REmake 2 and even DMCV will make an appearence to surpass 2017 with that alone.

Given that afaik, there's no Dino Crisis OT, I'll post this here.

I recently purchased the Dreamcast version of Dino Crisis, because the Dreamcast Versions of RE2 and RE3 were quality ports. After starting it up today, something feels like it went wrong here. Everything feels blurry, from the characters on screen to the Japanese subtitles and menus. It doesn't feel like a solid visual upgrade. In fact, I might drop this in favor of the Playstation version. It's really too bad, because I managed to pick it up new (because it was the same price used copies were going for). I had been looking for slightly better looking Dinosaurs.

Edit: I popped in RE3 and it was night and day. I also took a second look at the original version on Vita and I think the original PS1 version actually looks better. I don't really have a reason to go back to this version, unfortunately. I'm really disappointed!

I wonder if this is what it's like to play RE2 on N64.

I'm pretty sure the DC version of Dino Crisis looks better. I have both and while it's been a long time, I cannot recall such issues.

Literally everything in the Dreamcast version is blurred. Environments look sort of better, but their textures also appear to be blurred (which I guess makes sense given the original low resolution textures ... then again ...). This is also true for character textures, which are not blurred for the RE games. It's most apparent, because I'm playing the Japanese version, where the text below is almost difficult to read.

I have a small TV so the PS2 more or less looks fine for me, but I find the Vita is the best way of playing the games available on PS Archives. But I'm lucky and don't have to deal with a whitelist.

i have don't have dreamcast but depending on your dreamcast set up, the DC ver will be like the PC version and have a higher res than psx version, like DC versions resident evil 2 and 3. but it depends on the type connection and equipment you're using to output your dreamcast. i'm guessing maybe it's the type of connectors you're using that may be the culprit.

most plp don't, but if you have a RGB CRT and original ps1 or 2 hardware, hands down the psx version.
psx version essential for those that have professional monitor CRT's. outputting via RGB 240p native, which the DC, ps3 or PC can't do, is the only way to get the sharpest original native resolution for psx games.

PC emulators and PS3 is the crappiest way to play psx games but prob the most accessible.

Bought Resident Evil Revelations 2 since I enjoyed 5 and 6 (co-op), but apparently the second player in Revelations 2 can't use any firearms... what is this garbage lol.

Oh and ranking the RE 6 campaigns

Leon > Chris > Jake >>>>>> Ada

Chris campaign in 6 was my least favorite.

Personally it's Ada> Leon> Jake> Chris

Also happy New year y'all.

There's a reason Moira don't use guns. Keep playing.

Moira can use a crowbar, which can be pretty efficient if you put skills into it.
Natalia is worse, since she can only throw bricks. However, many enemies in Barry's campaign require Natalia to point enemies' weak spots or point where the enemy even is (yes, there are invisible enemies in the campaign).

Basically, Revelations 2 is a different type of co-operation, where both players have to work strictly together due to different skills: Claire needs Moira to conserve the ammo (and there are moments where ammo is very sparse) and to show hidden objects, and Moira needs Claire to protect her from bigger enemies; Barry needs Natalia to help identify enemies and to reach various places, and Natalia needs Barry to protect her.

We ended up stopping as soon as they switched over characters. My brother had enough when he found out his second character could only point, and no one wants to play as the flashlight lady or the girl who points. Well this was disappointing and waste of money to say the least. :|

Call me over and I'll play with you! I love playing as Moira (not so much Natalia lol, but it's manageable).

I'm using an RGB cable connected to a framemeisrer. It's not my setup; RE2 and RE3 look great.

Playstation RGB cables seem hard to find. Edit: then again, maybe not while in Japan.

I prefer the vita's emulator, but if not, I use the ps2 and d terminal (component).

are you using Toro with your dreamcast?

vita can't output 240p so it won't look good unless you're playing on the vita screen which looks good, if you have a pspsgo with component cables or psp 2/3000 that'll output native 240p and look good on CRT or framiester. it's softer pic than original hardware but definitely the best you'll get with digital PSN titles.
ps2 via component is really good, almost equal to RGB.

if you need RGB: for ps1/ps2 Scart cables:
my ps1 scart cable is from retro gaming cables uk,
https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/sony-av-accessories/sony-playstation
they're good,

but recently retro access made an update to their cables that makes it work for both ps1 and ps2 universally:
https://retro-access.com/collections/playstation

if you got a framemeister and want to play Dino Crisis or Resident Evil on ps1/2 via RGB, i recommend the retro access cables.
this portion in the vid details the update in the ps1/2 cables.

I've been playing it on the Vita screen. Are you talking about the Vita TV?

No, I have a Japanese RGB cable plugged directly into the Dreamcast.

I checked and there are actually a few Playstation RGB cables on Yahoo Auctions. I'm in Japan and come from an NTSC country (the US), so if I wanted to, I could pick up one of those. I don't currently own an original Playstation, since I haven't run into any problems with the PS2 and it can output d-terminal (component).

I just finished Not a Hero as well. Ha, I'd say Not a Hero is about on par with RE6's Chris Scenario. I actually liked some of the puzzle/traps in Not a Hero like with the laser room, the boss fight at the end is pretty satisfying, but the killbox rooms suck big time. I think Not a Hero suffers from the problems the main secnario has, namely that the action based sequences are quite stupid. And while the main story in RE7 keeps the wick of the mystery burning, you just have Chris failing to save anybody. Chris/Piers was the only scenario in RE6 I got to play with a co op buddy, and I seem to remember decently enjoying the enemy encounters. All of RE6 is increadibly disjointed.

It was really tough going from beating Wolfenstein New Colossus to Not a Hero. I dunno Wolfenstein is increadibly and enjoyably twitchy, and RE7's systems and mechanics really mar the experience of waves of enemies. Oftentimes, I had no ammo to stick around and fight, and had to just rush past everybody. Not very rewarding.

Almost too low key for me.
