I'd love for the whole party to carry over, so you can play with your endgame team from the start. And also for all of the enemies to level up so as to provide a challenge.
I don't see that happening because it would break the way I think a lot of the game logic is programmed. Honestly, if they do it well, skipping all the repeated cutscenes powering through the game should make ch1-5 a breeze. The only issue I can think of is... will they still have the stupid restrictions early on the game? You can't use Driver Combos or Chain Attacks until the tutorial teaches you in Chapter 3. They need to undo that for NG+ because no one wants to deal with that shit again. Lol.

About this, you reccomend Theory instead of peececal?Wich good dark blade should I use? So I have dark element in my party.

Percival is not that bad but most of his skills are focused on group fights so is not as useful as Theory which also grants agility. So for UM or boss fights Percival is not ideal.

Since my tank is an evasion tank I'd rather no use kassandra so I'll probably use Vale instead of Peru (ice), since Theory is ice. Vale seems quite good.

have you complete the Captain Noppon Shrine Quest? cause
Noppon are not dumb, their whole speech patter was designed to create the illusion that they are cute and harmless and maybe stupid, but they are incredible smart and good at schemes and plots

Which fuels my theory of Tora knowing that Morag was a woman but was just trying to see her nude by playing dumb and cute, since we all know he's a creepy otaku

Things I feel they need for NG+ to make it appealing for people to even try it out for the new content:
- Carry over almost everything: especially blades, affinities, and anything that involves heavy grinding collection
- Double or triple rare blade chances on rolls

- Have some unique challenges for seasoned players
- Make us work for the stuff that's NG+ exclusive, but don't make replaying old content a chore
- Give everyone new outfits or a fashion slot. I don't even care if they SELL costumes as DLC.

Would rather they fix the bold party in the first play through instead of NG+, it's obvious they set some numbers too high and some numbers too low, aka terrible game design decisions, NG+ is not the way you "fix" these things. The bold part will suggest people to rush through their first play through and realize how bad the game is balanced. Also I doubt they'll let you carry over trust and affinity comsidering some of them are bound to side quests, and considering you'll be able to put story blades into merc missions.

Whoa, I didn't think about the possibility of them adding costumes down the road. That'd be a great addition.

Maybe Zeke will get his wish of Morag in a dress and heels

I'm stuck at the Jin boss fight (Level 66). Here's my current team set-up.

On that note, overdrive protocals need to be easier to find. Maxing out level four blades just to get 1 overdrive is really tedious and unnecessary. At least set them up as a reward for exchanging salvaging sets like the boosters.

Oh, I like this idea. It's be hard to implement given the story constraints though.
I know, it's just something I'd like.

I mean, I want the party (and blades) to carry over so they can really ramp up the difficulty. The back half of the game, once you finally have everyone and can party build as you like, is far more fun than the early portion where you're restricted to the tank/dps/healer set up the game forces on you.

I'm not really convinced they will do that much to rebalance the entire game. Seems like a lot of work for a free update. Not to mention, if they are giving us enemy Blades for free, and they are considered rare Blades, wouldn't they need new blade quests too?

Probably the best non-blade sidequest in the game, due to that revelation.

As far as sidequests go, it is actually not all that bad from a mechanical standpoint either.

I could really use some help with a certain part of the game.

CHBf4EE.jpg

What are the blades you have to work with?

Either way:

-Use pouch items to help quickly build specials
-Spam Specials to build orbs 3+
-Initiate a chain attack once it looks like his damage is ramping up. Use the newer mechanic to make breaking orbs easier.
-Take manual control of your tank if it looks like they are not holding aggro

I remember in XC1 all tutorials were not shown in NG+, so it must be the same here. You even get a special weapon in the beginning.

Oh yes, this is fantastic. Thanks for sharing. I'm hoping XC2 gets an artbook and album release soon!

I don't know if you already have it but the XC2 CE is very solid in this department. The artbook included is of high quality (though I expect the dedicated on to be better) and the soundtrack has the major tracks on it. The box itself is really nice as well and the steelbook is a nice bonus, it's really one of the better CE's of the past years imo.

They could just pump up the levels and leave it at that. Even that much would add a bit of a challenge. I just don't see much point to a NG+ without some kind of added challenge.

Worth noting once more that while Master Mode in Zelda BotW was an expansion pass only addition, NG+ for XB2 is a regular patch for everyone. The expansion pass users get new quests which isn't NG+ exclusive.

My guess is that they will just give more chances on pulling rare blades or maybe a few more UM or something.

I just hope they don't keep all the restrictions on combat until chapter 4 or 5. It makes sense for a new player but not for a new game +.

I just completed this game, and I've gotta say that I am very disappointed in how it turned out. This team really pulled a Dark Souls 2 here in that they copied what they thought the original two games were about in a superficial way, but made a bunch of nearly moronic changes to the quality of life aspects of past games to make it a very frustrating and much worse experience, and the only thing that they sort of improved on was the combo system.

Why is there no longer a button to command all my allies to run to where I am at?

Why do the drops have to fall out of enemies so there's a chance to lose rare items because they fall off of something like a cliff?

If you are going to make a healing potion system that forces you to move your positioning to add an interesting twist to battles, why do they often get stuck in the geometry or land in unreachable places?

Why is trust grind the most obnoxiously annoying thing ever?

Why can't merc mission timers not go down while the game is off?

Why does every goddamn battle have to feel like a slog that takes forever? (Yes I used the fusion and even chain combos when necessary)

Why the hell is there RNG on the level of mobile gacha games in a single player game without a pay option? I don't want a pay option, but I don't want this level of fucked up RNG either.

Why are the out of combat run speed boosts hidden as a bonus for shop deeds instead of just given to me as an out of combat run button?

Man this fucking game really rubbed me the wrong way. I feel like the only reason that I stuck with it is because I'm a Monolith Soft fan, but if they pull out another mediocre offering like this, I might just give up on them.

I finally got the last poppi.

Boy that was a bit of work. Not as annoying as getting the Skell License in Xenoblade X, but still up there a bit.

I've only now just realized how fucked my team dynamics are due to the rare blade drops. I've been using Nia as my go to healer but Dromarch is the only healing rare blade on her. I've got Percival and Wulfric on her too (and some other attack blades).
I'm trying to use Zeke as my primary attacker instead of Rex but he's only gotten healers and tanks. I wish I hadn't used up the 3 overdrives I got, guess I have to work on filling everyone's affinity charts to get more.

-no idea. there is a button to focus on 1 enemy thi

-Cause the are several mechanic around getting loot during combat on real time, like Driver Smash or Sheba money fulled damage burst

-the evils of polygons?? It only ever happened to me once tho

-is not as annoying when you can do it "passive"ly with merc mission, as regards from Side quest. or just Stuff full your blade with food (S+ is hell)

-.........................................

-how exactly do you do the battles?? bosses/UM/Over your level aside after you learn Art Cancel, all combat becomes incredible dinamic

-RNG is good enough for playing hte game, is hell for Collectionist. ergo everyone cause hte last blade if frikking Kos-Mos

-that will make too easy to you to just storm run pass by certain areas while exploring o3o???

Light Core element is rare but not really useful aside a few UM that have it a weakness. by late game Mythra is enough. but still good

I completed the game a few days ago.

I'm still mind blowed about how they connected it with the first game. It's genius. The good Zanza/Claus got trapped in what remained of his old world, connected to the evil Zanza who got transported into the new world and won't let him die until he dies. When I heard Shulk's voice through the vortex I lost my fucking shit. I love Monolith.

  1. Overhauled battle system, why such a nitpick when overall mechanism had been changed.
  2. Again, overhauled battle system while also considering the verticality of the convoluted world. That's why you can taunt the monster.
  3. Oh my god. A specific part so small, I get why you're frustrated, but this is getting ridiculous. You can TAUNT the monster to safe places right? Plan your battle for the 2nd time.
  4. Why not say everything in this game are grindy? Do you realized you're playing a JRPG right now? How about commenting with the consideration on the overall package considered itself?
  5. Just burn this game if you cannot play the game by the rules. Many other things can be exploited to remedy the problems.
  6. Very very subjective. Never in this world someone who figure out the combat complain hard about the slowness of the battle, especially those who played the last 2 titles. Maybe a bit slow on earlier chaps but at the end you're literally button mash everything.
  7. The game gives 8 rare blades from quest, excluding main char. like Pyra and stuff. Only 20 on RNG. If they cut the content with only 8 rares from quest, it still worth it. And we still can get more blades from DLC. So why the foolish rant?
  8. The mechanism that act as an incentive for you. Again you're not considering the overall package of the system.
My take man, you should just give up on the series. Preach the game for it's mediocre, as more people might actually play and love it, while also appreciate the game for what it is.

This would be pretty much perfect. I'm not touching with NG+ with a 10-foot pole if I don't keep my rare blades and affinity charts; there's no way I'm grinding all that again. Unfortunately, I fully expect them to make us grind stuff again, and not add anything new.

Use a beta scope on your breaker, gold ones drop from the birds on the outside platform ( literally birds lol )

What're the luck blades and the luck weapons?

Like spear commons with +% luck ( all blades has mods ) throw a magnet chip and you've got about 15% luck + 50 luck on the blade and it stacks if you have 2 blades like that

My take man, you should just give up on the series. Preach the game for it's mediocre, as more people might actually play and love it, while also appreciate the game for what it is.

1. Overhauled... Well, it might be overhauled over the other games in the series but still suck you a have no way to move party members, since the AI sucks so much and often position itself on places where the ly can fall or receive an attack that may kill them...

2. Is still implemented poorly, why the loot has to fly that far off? Couldn't just land exactly where the enemy stands?

3. Plan the battle is not a solution, specifically because some dungeons are designed in a way that don't allow much option or you have to give priority to not aggroing 40 other enemies or because sometimes the enemy keeps moving the tank and you can't control it, so even if you try to have some room, sometimes is not enough.

4. Not everything in this game is grind, trust is very grindy though. And Rare blade trust or even common blade trust is key in this game. More than just character lvl.

5. Considering is one of the most grindy things in the game? It would be OK to have at least in some way, why would you against improving the game?

6. The biggest problem is that some areas are plagued with enemies and they often chain, so some battles may take a while, also the game takes to long to give you more of it's systems, so you are restricted in which orbs you can create early on which leads me to...

7.... The fucking RNG, even if they game gives you blades (you have to go your way and engage in these side quest that you can easily miss, so is not obvious.) doesn't mean they are ideal for your party setup, like I got Vess but I already have this electric healer! So it depends of fucking RNG to be completely effective, because the bigger emphasis in the combat system is to get burst, so that means a big range of elements to build orbs. And DLC is DLC, so is not relevant now.

8. They could add a stamina meter and a sprint button, so you can travel faster but can't run away of enemies always. Game resolved this problem years ago, no need to defense this.

I agree that these problems aren't that big, but they are indeed flaws and I don't think they should be defended that aggressively.

Decided to go ahead and use the legendary core since people have talked about how they still use it and get nothing....figure it's best to go ahead and make use of it.

Xenoblade-Chronicles-2-Adenine.jpg

Got Adenine on Morag. I guess I can have her set up as a Tnk-Tnk-Hlr character. Also figure I'll get Kasandra and put it on her which will put her up to par with the rest of the party in terms of blade numbers. Uh....I'm sure Zeke, when I get to him, will get lucky with the dlc where I can use the 10 rare and 1 legendary.....
