Either normal t-rexes lvl 90-95 in temperatia or even better:
lvl 104 reeking douglas gormott - Brigand's Hideout
He is very easy even with lvl 70, also you can farm smash him for tons of rare and legendary cores while reaching easily 99.

Edit: damn double post instead of edit .-.
Thanks all!

Where exactly is this hideout?

How many orbs can I destroy? 5? Because after that there is the burst. I am right that if you destroy 2 orbs on the same round only one counts?
What is the best way to destrou them foe maximum damage?
the most orbs you can destroy implying you manage to keep it a 1 per round is 6 orbs
the system works
-6 Points to fill up the FB bar
-1 (one) or 1st orb destroyed per round, 1 Point
-every orb after that on the same round, 2 Points
For Full Burst the minimun you need is 4 orb, the maximun you can manually burst is 6, But if you want the most damage possible always go for 8 (even if you dont destroy all 8 manually, the ones that pop on Full Burst add to the Damage % multiplier)

Given you accumulate more Damage % Multiplier for every attack, in theory Bursting 1 Orb per Round for 6 Rounds should give you the most of your damage but usually going on a Chain Attack with Phneuma. you will be done by turn 2 but her Damage output makes up for lack of %.

Where exactly is this hideout?
on Chapter 3 the side quest that some kids steal Roc Core and you go to defeat some bandits in a cave.. go there

Am I gimping myself by giving Rex both Roc and Zenobia? I'm a bit concerned about having two wind blades on one person, but I really want him to have both Smash and Launch. My alternative is to give him Gorg, though the problem there is that all my other party members already have water Blades. Also, Zenobia is cooler

Not really. There's a lot of Wind blades to share around.

70 hrs and I've only just started chapter 5 and I have less than 10 rare blades. WEW
I have almost finished the game and do not have more than 10-12 rare blades. If you exclude the ones you can get from quests I won't even have gathered ten...

I got so lucky that even legendary cores only provides some three crowns...

Tell me if what I've been doing is good for EXP
I try my hardest to stack 8 orbs and then start the chain attack while Pneuma is activated. Should I try using Mythra or Pyra instead to start the chain?
I just reached level 91 with my whole party and have killed almost all UM in the game with no grinding. Just been purpoesly punching above my weight

Rex getting the shit slapped out of him, then his face smashing the camera into an old style RPG battle transition screen shatter is the best battle opening of all time

Oh I don't mean as in I'm depriving my party of wind Blades. I mean is giving Rex two elements rather than three not worth it just to get both Smash and Launch on one character?

Are you going for driver combos or blade combos? If the former, double wind is fine. If the latter, you want as little overlap as possible.

As in both in battle? If the other teammates have element variety it shouldn't be much of a hindrance. Rex at that point has Pyra and Mythra anyway, and that's already 2 elements on top of two other blades. He can have 4 unique elements at most, and 2 common just puts him at 3, the same with any other party members.

I know Chain Attack Overkill increases Loot Drop, not sure about EXP, if you want to lvl up, get some 0-Battle Item (EXP boost) equip it and go hunt UM other option is just do side quest and go to inn

Question. An early tutorial mentions selling something in sets to earn more money, but a few hours in and I can't recall what the heck it was referring to.

Also, I need moolah. Am I safe to sell all treasure and collectibles? Perhaps leave the rare stuff?

It's the salvaging items. The icon that looks like a weighing scale is the trading store where you can sell you salvaged items in sets for more money than selling those items individually in other stores. You just need the required amount of items to make a trade. Some sets can go from a few thousands to more than a hundred thousand.

There are exchange merchants who accept sets of the items that come from salvaging in exchange for Boosters and money.

To add:
Just make sure to sell the worst items in the game called "boosters".

I hope they get patched out or finally gets a 999 limit, as even the later limit doesnt make any sense. You still can only use 5 at a time, so whats the reason for it having an artificial limit, while others have high limits?

Man I'm never going to finish this game. In chapter 5 doing tons of side quests and exploring and I'm like level 52ish on most my guys. The enemies around here are barely in the 30s.....making the main story very easy for me lol.

Exchange materials from salvaging (treasure), don't sell them.

Sell by tab.

Boosters are safe to sell, but they barely net you anything.
Collectables should not be sold.
Core Crystals probably go without saying.
Pouch items can be sold, but it's kind of a waste since you probably bought them.
Aux cores (refined and not) are sellable, you can sell the old/low level ones you have no use for or mass duplicates.
Accessories are good to sell, a lot aren't really all that useful, many get outdated, and you collect a ton of them.
Unused chips are worth selling, unless they give passive bonuses. Those might be worth holding on to.
Cylinders are sellable, but again, you probably bought them.
Treasure should not be sold.

Info and key items can't be sold, AFAIK.

When you do overkill a new percentage meter pops up called "bonus", I thought that was experience. It would only make sense, I've been leveling up entire levels from each UM

You could see it here for example

Really annoying that my next quest early on in the game keeps making me run through high level monsters. What the hell? I keep dying just trying to get to it. Level 9 and running into level 18 and level 81. Getting pissed. I have to be doing something wrong.

Edit: Found another way.

This is the most anime rpg trying to masquerade as a regular rpg I've ever seen. I just finished Chapter 4. Top 10 anime power ups.

I just sent my blades on a 50 min mission right before one of the main missions required their use. I literally sent them on one, then started the quest. X0

This game is making fun of me.

So a certain Chapter 7 area...

A dungeon with a confusing layout, awkward corridors for fighting, without your main Baede/s and where Level 3 Blade combos are literally impossible? Thanks, game! Oh, and to finish with a boss with a seemingly (but thankfully not) relentless spawning mechanic while limited to Level 1 combos?! Just what I wanted!! I basically just hauled ass through to the end, equipped healing blades and whaled on it until it died. Awful section of the game though, despite the art/music.

Anyway, back to the good stuff.

Yep, you can farm at dock #2 on the crabs for rare crystals if you smash/party burst them

You wouldn't have had as many issues if you had used Tora. The game suggests you use him in that section for a reason.

Do we roughly know how the pulling mechanics function? In Brave Exvius the first roll determines the rarity of the pull and then which character you will get exactly. Is it the same here? Does XBC2 check if you pulled a rare blade first and decides after this which element and then which blade? Or does it check for the element first and then for the rarity? I'm asking because the latter would mean I would have to use boosters to raise my chances in getting my remaining 3 rare blades.

Combat feels sooooooo good. Finally figured out what was messing up my capture software so I could record me doing stuff like this lol. Really excited to get to some bosses to start doing party chains too!

Haven't gotten a blade with Smash yet otherwise I would've :(
(or if Poppi can do it, I haven't figured that out yet)
Once you finish the second major area Rex gets a blade with smash

Smash is the icing on the death cake. If you xan smash as part of a blade combo... its death incarnate. It does so much damage. It feels so good. I also use equipment that increases damage when cancelling. Its marvellous

Finally finished the game, I still need to figure out my thoughts on the ending. This game has come so close to being my goty but a few things have held it back.
  • Rex - hes a good character but I don't think he was a strong protagonist, at least compared to Shulk. Zeke would have been a way better protag without going into spoiler territory.
  • Merc missions - I found them really boring, the amount of time I had to spend in menus sending blades to missions and always listening to their voice lines ( especially ursula and her grind for affinity ) just felt like a huge waste of time.
  • Field checks - I think this one is pretty self explanatory.
  • World design - other than gormot and uraya every other location didn't feel special, chronicles 1 and especially X had way better worlds to explore. Also why did they remove sprint.
  • Gacha system - I don't really mind gacha games but the drop rates once you get to your last five rare blades is ridiculous, I hate loot boxes but something like scrap system would have been good.

Did you finish Chapter 3? If so, you should have one.
I finished chapter 3, but have just been sidequesting since chapter 4 started, only went a little bit in. Are you guys talking about
Hikari/Mythra? I have no idea to use her if so. I literally just got Roc on Rex like 5 minutes ago as of this post.
