No new episode this week ?

No episode, but it is only a 1 week break - which is tolerable after the nonsense seen in other seasons. Not many shows aired last night to be honest. I think the show will run uninterrupted until at least 2/2/18 after this break - which is the 100 episode of the show and the 10 episode of this season

Got a couple of friends that are hugely into Marvel and both quit during first season. I have been telling them it is rather awesome now, and if nothing else, just go season 4+.

They are both all "Yup, suuuure!"

Edit: And by the way, did I miss something or does this story have the standard Terminator timeloop shenanigans?

John Connor would not exist if the robots didn't send a terminator into the past, leading the resistance (or whatever) to send Kyle Reese. So robots doing nothing would have solved their problem.

In this story, Fitz wasn't sent into the future as he was not part of the prophecy. He then suddenly is, and chronicler/Gman makes sure he gets there.

Not terribly relevant since I love the season so far, I just always get stuck on these things in time travelling adventures.
Eh not really. The minute time travel is involved in the marvel universe, the timeline is changed, which means the minute they return they create a new timeline where the consequences of them being missing no longer exist. Basically causality isn't a true issue, because it's less time travel, more of dimension slipping. Since the only ones aware are the actual travelers, there's no issue

Basically remember Fitz's paper analogy in season 2 regarding propechy and trying to change the future? Well the moment someone timetravel, they done look or skip forward on the paper, they switch to a different one entirely, that is identical prior to the point they jumped, but is in a state of flux until the moment they return. Unlike prophecy which is basically peeking forward, time travel warps everything from the point it happens

I think episode 12 is the 100th.

So Fitz literally freezing himself for 70 years kills the idea of this being an alternate future/multiverse thing, right?

Doesn't that basically confirm that this is 100% the future of the MCU (if they don't change what happened, obviously)?

Typically, a split timeline only occurs if they change something in the past. If/when Fitz comes back to the present it'll still be his actual past. That future is only confirmed to be the actual future when it becomes the actual present, and thats only if we know the past was never altered.

Very true. Didn't think of it that way for some reason.

Doesn't this mean that if they got back to the present and prevent the Earth from being destroyed there will still be a Fitz frozen in space for 70 years waiting to save friends that aren't in that future from a post-apocalyptic setting that doesn't exist?

Man something fucked is gonna happen, like Fitz will go back to their time via the dimension hopping method and have to kill his sleeping self lol and be traumatized by it -_-

So I have finally caught up with this show just today and my goodness what a ride it has been. This show is absolutely amazing. I'm so invested in these characters now THEY BETTER NOT KILL OFF ANYONE THIS SEASON!

Last season has got to be the most feels I've ever felt watching a TV show...especially with Mack in those last episodes, and then Fitz and Jemma. Oh my goodness the chemistry between them is palpable. Everything about this has been so fun.

I was excited before watching the promo and the Kree lip syncing Michael Jackson video, but now I'm full blown hyped up for tomorrow night.
