also man every game in the top ten is on the PS4, i wanna say when was the last time this happend but considering this is kinda the first time that isn't going to work
Yeah, same with last year. SMO, XBC2, MK8D and ARMS likely would have made my list for last year.
Didn't even notice that till you mentioned, but you're right. The PS4 is very likely going to have another dominant year. Be interesting to see what big new game announcements are in store for Nintendo and Microsoft in 2018.
I didn't bother voting because I didn't think I'd even be able to think of two games I was anticipating. Good to see the list prove me wrong. Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest XI, Octopath Traveller, Mega Man 11, Bloodstained, and Indivisible all being for this year makes it seem like I'll have plenty to play after all.
Expected results. Most of my nominations made the top 10. Good to see Octopath in the top 20, too.
That top 3 are so close. No runaway winner which is great and testament to a very big tear ahead of quality gaming.

Yeah, I was expecting it to be in the top 8. It looks so good I'm surprised. I'm really surprised about people being so hype for a port of a PlayStation 2 game, but since this gen started people have been asking for more and more ports of older games than just playing it on their older systems.
FWIW, Nintendo is rumored to start talking about the 2018 Switch lineup on January 11.
The closer the game release, the stronger the anticipation. That can boost position of games.
Poor No Truce With the Furies, easily my most anticipated game and truly a game changer if it lives up to even half of its promises.
Dreams should easily be in the top 5. You guys are sleeping on it.

Top 5 was about what I expected to see, especially since Nintendo hasn't spilled the beans on their 2018 slate. But I expected RDR2 to have been the clear winner by a landslide, so I'm kind of amazed that Spidey and God of War were fairly close in the running. Also kind of expected KH3 to be higher (3 or 4) given the fanbase it has around here.

This thread really cements the fact that 2018 is going to be the year of Sony. A majority of the top ten are exclusive/limited exclusive or play best on PS4. And the supplementary titles like Days Gone, Concrete Genie, and Shenmue 3 between those releases only makes the PS4 2018 roster that much better.
I do can't wait to be able to play just half of these games.
