Infuriating.
I gotta say. If there's a point that needs to be taken like the second phase on Crait or the second phase on Jakku, Phasma can be pretty great with that shock turret she has. Put it behind something so it's not visable and some heros can be dumb enough to come to you. I took out a Yoda and Rey doing that. Pretty fun.
Just got this game, played 5 matches. Not really feeling it. I'm a big fan of Battlefield 1 but this somehow feels like more of a clusterfuck. I spawn, run towards the objective, and get instantly killed by enemy I can't see / grenade spam / vehicle / hero. I'll give it a couple more matches to see how I feel about it, but I may just end up selling this.
Lucasfilm won't allow pink vader or anything that's not canon as costumes.
So they are kinda limited there, and probably why they didn't do cosmetics in the first place.
Everyday that passes of them being silent makes me more confident in my theory that this game has been abandoned and all focus is now probably on Battlefront 3 just to get that out in time for Episode 9 and then be done with the Battlefront series for a while.
ofcourse they are working on Battlefront 3. It takes about 2 years ( they have the engine, models etc. so they dont need 4-5 years) but iam sure a small team is working on 2. No way they just stop working on this game and think people will buy BF3. They will start releasing more as soon as mtx is back.
Except there are hundreds if not thousands of Canon cosmetics they could have put into crates.

You might want to try other modes. I used TDM to get past the beginner weapons and get a feel for the different classes. Galactic Assault is so hit-or-miss for me but I like the shooting gameplay at its core.
Oh I haven't really tried any other modes. May give them a shot, thanks. I love Operations in Battlefield 1 so I thought I'd enjoy Galactic Assault, but so far it feels more like COD with killstreaks than Battlefield.

If we don't get some sort of statement by next week I'll probably chalk this up as another dead EA game and start looking for the next shooter to move to. PUBG's been running well lately, but still lots of cheaters and hit reg issues. Maybe reinstall BF4.

As much as I don't want this game to be abandoned - there'd be a certain logic to ending post-launch support so that Battlefront 3 is beefier and has more hype. Holding stuff like Geonosis until Battlefront 3 would make it much easier to market.
Yea she is pretty broken on some maps, the alt fire is fucking ridiculous.
I got a 56 kill streak with her on Crait lol, and could've been much higher too but I got too greedy and an ATST killed me.
For Palp: Primary attack range, heal on chain lightning, more chain lightning bounces.
For Leia, idk which random cards I had because I never play her lol. I would focus on whatever buffs her alt fire. And if she has a heal on kill, I'd use it.
I use Leia a lot and for HvV I use Relentless Firing, Rebel Heart, and either For The Rebellion or Laser Brain. For GA I use High Spirit, For The Rebellion, and Laser Brain. I have the blue version of all those cards and those seem like the best set ups for me at least.
I love Leia, and she will probably be the first hero I work on getting purples for.
I played Leia on Crait for the first time today. Omg. It was like swatting flies lol.
If they were out in the open, they were dead seconds later with that alt fire
I finished the campaign and had a good time. It does feel like a brain dead shooter, enemies are stupid but the flying is really fun. It's not too long and barely a challenge. The story was actually interesting and I enjoyed it for what it was. As a Star Wars fan I had a good time, and I would say if you're a Star Wars fan its worth playing. Now to focus on multiplayer!
both Activision and EA allows pink guns, gold guns in World War 1-2 but disney wont allow pink things in their star wars?

There is a pretty big difference in that comparison.
EA and Activision don't own and control the world wars as an IP.
Lucasfilm does own/control/manage Star Wars.
I would definitely buy some non-RotJ era Luke skins. And some decent Leia skins. Hell, I'd be down for a bunch of hero skins.

We're not getting the whole story here. There are tons of Disney figurines and statues for sale at Disney parks and stores where traditional Disney characters are outfitted with Star Wars gear. The Lucas media people always highlight the groups of fans who show up to their conventions cosplaying as Kylo Ren undercover ("Matt"). If someone took Pink Vader and attached it to a charitable or social cause, they might end up supporting it. They made a T-shirt launcher a "canon" weapon.
Further, at this point in Battlefront 2015's life cycle there was no lag, progression was steady, matchmaking was well enough for most matches to be engaging, map rotations were steady where you would see every map in a reasonable period of time, all non-dlc heroes were available at the start, and you got access to decent weapons in due time.
That people haven't seen entire maps, or haven't been able to use the most iconic heroes in almost two months since release of this game is incredible.

Whenever I play HvV Leia is always a problem. Her blaster is really powerful and she can regain her HP if I recall correctly
I don't really play HvV so I can't say to that. I do see her in GA regularly though.

How does Leia compare to the first game? If you knew how to use her abilities in that game, she was rather effective.
She's good as long as you don't rush too far into enemy territory away from your team.
For the Rebellion is a must star card for her imo
I understand the thing about costumes, and its possible Lucasfilm might go for it, but its a very different situation than what Activision does with WWII or EA with BF1, so I was highlighting the issues with that comparison.
As for the rest of the post I agree with everything. BF2015 got way more post launch support and communication than this game, and that is saying A LOT, cause even with what BF2015 got, people still complained back then.
The more time passes, the more they need to fix and do to gain player trust and confidence back.
Her regular fire from her main weapon does a lot of damage by itself. Her Rapid fire ability will mow down any lightsaber user in seconds, specially if they are close and trying to hit you.
And to make things even better, she can just spam roll against lightsaber users to avoid all damage.
In GA she is just plain broken, specially in some maps that are more open. If you know how to user her well you can win the game for your side with her on some maps.

Another day, and still nothing from EA or DICE.
It takes a couple seconds of effort to just communicate or post some information, instead of complete silence. The idea that the entire team just went *poof* for a month and just went back to work is ridiculous. These teams are huge, many of which would be working away still, and EA should no better and say something, instead of posting stupid "funny" gameplay videos on social media.
Not touching this game again till they make some actual effort to fix the many balance problems.

Not really surprising to see them go this way when their first attempts at reassuring the player base totally exploded in their faces. I would bet money that EA put a gag order on the devs and anybody attached to this game. No statements will be made until it has been thoroughly sanitized by the EA machine first.

Fucking steamed right now, had to quit the game and step away after I lost a Luke to Supercharged Sentry spam and then I lost Rey because their Palpatine decided to camp UNDER the objective (Phase 2 Kashyyyk) and fire his max range Purple'd out lightning attack up through multiple floors and walls and continually stagger me and keep my stamina fully depleted.
Inept fucks at DICE. I hope their studio gets shut down by EA and folded into ancillary support staff for actual competent studios. Fuck I'm mad right now. So fucking stupid.
