So question
Spend 2M Gold and 95 Minutes, 33 Items at the time to get to S+

or

Send 1.6M Gold, 115 Minutes, all items in 1 seat to get to S+??

Seems like a matter of preference. I'm pretty sure you can get 400K in less than 20 minutes, so I guess it boils down to whether the saved time is worth the extra effort. You'll probably be doing something else like watching TV while doing this, so option B might be more attractive overall.

You should really spoiler that a bit better. That's more than a "blade" spoiler.

Could definitely be more specific, but I always avoid ambiguous spoiler tags like that when I haven't completed a game yet. I hope that particular thing wasn't a spoiler for you, though.

20 more legendaries, 60 more rares, and a gazillion more commons, and still no KOS-MOS.

RNGods have cursed me.

Anyway, is there some sort of a reward for getting all the 12 brotherpons/sisterpons back in Argentum? I believe I talked to every one of them (didn't count, but I found at least one in just about every continent) and nothing happened. Or did I miss something?

I will pray for your Mehs. I was in your situation a few days ago, so know the feeling.

I thought getting Ursula as the second last blade was punishment enough.

As bad as Ursula's merc mission nonsense is for her, it's actually pretty great for other blades. It's a great way to fill out affinity charts.

Yes it does have its benefits. If only crafting things get filled out in the affinity chart all my rare blades will be S rank by now thanks to Ursula's 10-minute (or less) missions.

I've read you can repeat merc missions just as well.

The blue ones, yes. Ursula's lessons in merc missions are repeatable.

Hers are not only repeatable, but also the shortest ones in the game (that I've seen at least). Standard time of 10 minutes with easy requirements to reduce it. And as far as I can tell the affinity chart gains for completing a merc mission are completely independent of time, making those the best ones for filling them out. I finished or nearly finished several rare blade affinity charts in an afternoon while doing other stuff.

Ah, been at work all day and not able to browse reset too much. I;m up to chapter 4 and I must say the town music, when the little guitar riff kicks in, is awesome.
Healer blades are good on Nia, so it's not really a waste
You want to be stacking classes, not running JOATs, especially early on.
Well, you'd want to have a full healer party on Nia for the class bonus anyway. Ursula is great on Nia as well, and gives her access to a launch art.
on one hand, Ursula is the most cheat enabling Healer in the game
on the other, good luck unlocking Tier 5 Affinity
Ok, cool. Good to know. I was going to do the JOT deal and not stack.

I also just unlocked a samurai man for Rex. Dude looks pretty neat.

So finished it.
Serious ending question: Do not click this includes end of game/story spoilers
They said multiple times that mythra and pyra are the same character the same person. They themselves say this a few times. Then you get to choose what you want to call them. After this the one you dont' choose still shows up multiple times. Then when a character revelation occurs and you assume they'll merge their personalities and become a complete person as opposed to two fragments. In all the cutscenes they remain in this form. Then when the game ends that form goes away and they're back to two fragments of the same person. Why?
I'm a little late to this, but I think I'll give my thoughts on it.
I think the relationship between Pyra and Mythra is another example of the Nature vs Nurture debate that occurs within the game. Both Pyra and Mythra, much like Klaus and Zanza, were functionally the same person. However, different environmental experiences resulted in Pyra and Mythra becoming uniquely different from each other. Mythra has nuked titans and killed people; Mythra also spent most of her time with Adam, who while nice didn't seem to be as kindhearted as Rex. In contrast, Pyra came about after the Aegis War. She never really experience the blood and toil of the Aegis War firsthand and spent the majority of her time with the kindhearted Rex. Basically, Mythra became assertive and bossy because she held all the power and needed to lead the world against Malos, but Pyra, who came into prominence after the war, instead became more bashful to Adam and later Rex. Just as Klaus and Zanza were originally the same being but became split into two totally different people, Pyra and Mythra experienced a similar evolution. The ending shows Pyra and Mythra separate from eachother because its finally acknowledging that they, despite starting out the same, are unique people.

Started chapter 9. This game has a really annoying pacing issue.

  • Cutscene
  • Player control
  • Walk 50 feet
  • Cutscene
  • Repeat
Why not just make that one long cutscene then?! Architect on a stick

So my game crashed twice in undocked mode. Hasn't happened while docked.

Once while I was fast travelling and once while going up a random flight of stairs.

Just a fyi. Save often!

JOAT, especially in early game, doesn't work great, especially for tanks.

Atk/Atk/Hlr and Hlr/Hlr/Atk work pretty well since both combinations provide a reduced aggro generation bonus, but outside of that, the bonuses for mixed builds tend to be sub optimal, if not outright contradictory.

Later on in the game, mixed builds become more viable when you're less dependent on bonuses, but pure builds still work fine. Like I'm 60 hours into the game and my party is entirely comprised of pure builds

Thanks for the follow ups,

ENDING SPOILER TALK DON'T CLICK!
Throughout the game I never considered them separate people. Mythra said she made pyra to autopilot while she slept. They shared the same knowledge and seemed like opposite sides of the same coin in terms of personality. I guess I just assumed the final arc of their character was going to be them becoming whole. Klaus also called the green form Pyra when you first enter that room right? So confusing haha.
He calls her Pyra because that's just what you've chosen in chapter 8 when Rex asked Mythra what should he call her and Mythra said you can call her whatever you want

Wow the Fonsett Guardian Dungeon was a slog.

I can just imagine
Addam
laughing as he chose the place to hide his treasure in a dungeon of spiders and scorpions.

Tips for the Fonsett Dungeon but also could be a spoiler once you realize why

I didn't diversify my weapon level ups at all. Wow was that painful.

Premium Cylinders aren't really that necessary, though it can really help pump up your bank savings the fastest.

They can be bought anyway. Just prepare a lot of cash to keep your stock.

New production note from CHOCO who designed Praxis and Theory.
https://www.nintendo.co.jp/switch/adena/sp/production-notes/index.html
Article is really long so just the first 2 paragraphs:

He was only requested to design 1 blade, but because he had so many ideas he asked if he can do 2 designs.
So Monolithsoft tasked him to design sister-like blades with water and ice attribute.
He's been in close contact with Monolithsoft ever since the company was established in 2000, and apparently he was the one who designed the corporate logo.

Ooooooooooooooo.

No wonder lol. And indeed, i am using Morag and Zeke right now with no healer lol. So fun seeing tons of damage flying around.^_^ a bit bad on how lacking my team element burst though.
It'll get better once you diversify your blade types on everyone. You shouldn't be stacking too many of the same element, but the game does tend to throw water blades at you.

......wut the hell??? Can u tell what the qu3st is? I am currently grinding a bit here.
Edit: My mistake, he's likely talking about
Theory
.

It's actually a relatively long quest line by this game's standard (it involves multiple quests and quite a bit of affinity grinding).

Edit 2 : The original quest starts in Torigoth but you may need to buy some informant tip first.

You need to do a rare blade quest in Gormott first, then you can do this one in Uraya.

Make it four for me lol. My Rex got 4 healer lol. And i am not pleased.
You shouldn't be pulling anything on Rex, he doesn't need random blades. You get some really good attack blades he can use through the game. Use random blades on your other characters, they'll need the help filling out their load outs.

I'm in the middle of trying to optimize my blades for my team and pulling stuff on Rex early on has made it harder than it should be. I'm going to need one or two override protocols to get the job done as a result.

Is Dahlia not one of the best blades (terrible English voice aside) because of how useful she is in chain attacks? She increases crit for party and then also hits all orbs at the same time. Think it works with the orb ender aux too.

What's with the Ursula merc missions? I've been tasked to raise her stats to level 4 by repeating the merc missions but I swear I've done each one (looks 1, looks 2, voice 1, voice 2, etc.) more than twice and nothing else is happening. Do I have to progress further in the story (I'm on chapter 5) or is there something I have missed, are the 3rd and 4th versions of her merc missions? I can only see the 1 and 2 versions.

I got the same issue. Apparently we just need to spam the missions.

I also need to find a way to grind from about lvl80 to the cap.

I am still dreaming for an Ice Tank Blade for ma Morag here lol.

You have to buy the Core Hunters Info piece from an Information dealer in the towns.
then go to torigoth where you fought Brighid and that will trigger a quest, complete that quest and you will get Praxys core (Water Lance)
after you bond the Core and raise affinity, about Tier 3, you will unlock Praxys quest, complete it and you will at the end receive Theory's Core (Ice tank sword)

each merc mission gives you 1-2 point on each of the categories. you need to farm (repeat several several times) the mission and ask the nopon for your level, level 4 is :easy:, getting the bloody 5K fans is a bad joke.

about lvl 99, Farm the Dinosaurs in Temperantia they go from lvl 90 to 93, that is a good way to get to 90s (avoid the level 95 one, you can not see the icon but that one is an UM), after that just go on Death Revenge Tour / UM World Hunt

I think the gold ones do the job. I completed those with gold cylinders. Just need to salvage on the right spots.

Premium maybe makes it much faster.
There is 1 spot you require premium, it's in the quest text. I didn't have luck to have premium available in shops, so I tried a lot with gold. But no success. I had to use premium for that spot.

In all honesty, I would start farming up to 30 legendary cores, sell everything rare or common. Just start opening Legendaries back to back to back (no boosters) and you will get her. The RNG is just much better on Legendary that opening the others is just not worth it. Also open on Zeke

One thing, if you want to get Theory past level 3 rank you need Praxis to level 5.

One think to take in mind if you plan getting Theory.

The chain attack critical hit rate buff is nice, but her ability to hit multiple orbs loses a bit of value once you gain access to one of the later mechanics. She's still not bad, though I don't know if I'd consider her to be one of the best blades.

Question about Chapter 9:

After Indol is destroyed, I know that some of the shops move to other locations, and some of their inventory is just moved to other shops. However, were there any shops in Indol that you could buy the deeds to that become unavailable after this part of the game?

I've found the bonuses from shop deeds are quite handy, so after raising the dev level of all the regions to 5 I tried to pick up as many as I could, but realized I may have missed many of the ones in Indol after buying the deed from the drink vendor who moves to Fonsett. There are a number of guides that indicate what is missable after Indol is destroyed, but none of them seem to cover shop deeds.

I'm pretty sure the shops either don't have deeds, or are just moved, allowing you to get the deeds afterward.
