Thanks for the camera controls Otislnf. Locking the cam with the Home key makes the DOF workable with the mouse.

I have to admit and say damn "Ubisoft" you finally did it! This is how you make games from now on!!! None of that downgrading visuals crap, you're better than that. When Otis told me the game plays smooth right out of the gate, i was in disbelief...turns out they delivered and then some. Also, huge thanks to our OtisInf for his bad ass camera tools. Thanks man you're our shinning star here:)

You guys are all so talented. Even though i don't contribute, just want to say thanks for the awesome screens. Glad this community is on ERA.

I've been using the in-game photo mode. I'll be using Otis's tools in addition to break out of the tiny default bounding box though. And maybe for cutscenes if I can figure out how that is supposed to work (freezing them and all).
Just enable the photomode in a cutscene and you're done. I simply nop the relative jmp they have in the enable code which checks whether they should enable the photomode or not. It's now always enabled :) Then enable the camera tools if you need to, but cutscenes often use a small modeled area so moving far away isn't going to be needed.

Couple more shots from the pre-Otis tools era.

Wowowow

All these AC:O shots look fantastic. Anyone know if HDR is comin for PC version. Colors and contrast already look amazing but I have too much stuff to play. I might dive in if HDR is in the works tho.

The implementation in Destiny has given me hope for PC

Lol. I saw Phil's screenshots and knew they were his before even seeing his name. Can't mistake that post processing :)

Looks good!

It's not completely free-roam, you have to be reasonably close to the ship, but it's pretty loose around the vehicle. It doesn't have to be in view and you can get like a few times the length of the ship away or something, like this.

Ah, I see. That's reasonable and not too restrictive, I guess. Thanks for the info!

I guess I'll have to get this at some point.

Yesss, get it. On sale would be better tho, it isn't that long for a JRPG (around 20 hrs or so) and well...Koei Tecmo ports. Had to use Kaldaien quick fix there to help with AO and god ray.

Would it be possible to embed the large versions of these screens?

Yeah, my mistake. I'll correct that.

Edit : done. ;)
Keep in mind that the automated resizing picture from the browser makes screenshots a bit blurrier.
I was testing that and I've forgotten to revert back the fullsized picture.

Thanks! Didn't even notice the enemy awareness silhouettes in the first screen until now. I always find it a bit exasperating when I forget things like that when taking nice shots; turning off all the relevant HUD elements at a moments notice can be a PITA :p

Also didn't even notice Dennis had posted in the thread until seeing Durante's quote above. These threads have been missing his presence for ages.

Yes, but when you click on an image it will expand to the full size. That's what I do whenever I see an image I like. Which is also why I want to get stabby when people make their images links as it breaks that functionality.

I wish we could just have a rule that says to only post images that do not link anywhere else.

Oh boy, I didn't see it either. Shoot.
It does not disappear, even in photo mode. Probably a bug.

Only thing to keep in mind is flickr's ToS only permits hotlinking when a link back to the flickr page is included, from memory. The way some do it is just to post them at the end of the post or after the image (though some ignore it altogether).

Is click to expand working for anyone else? Did they break it in the 1.1 update?

EDIT: Seems like it's only broken for my own posts.

Wish we could quote portraits like before.

Make suggestions in the forum suggestions thread. Basically, what need to be changed is how images in quotes are handled. Right now, it's based on a max-height rather than a max-width. I've already made changes with my own CSS. Here's a screenshot of what quoting portraits looks like for me (with my own dark theme too boot).

As of right now, taller images wind up looking teeny tiny in quotes.

The way some do it is just to post them at the end of the post or after the image (though some ignore it altogether).
I ignore it. Like this :)

These new games look amazing, but I can't even run them... so I enjoy getting a kick out of more old-school games. Here's Neverwinter Nights 1 & 2:

NWN2 is quite beautiful for a 2006 game, shame that the camera controls are possibly THE worst in game history. :/

Oh, these Koei Tecmo games were such a pain to screenshot, constant crashes and all. Hopefully Nioh would be better (though I won't expect too much)
