This could be the same situation where there was supposed to be a direct yesterday and look how that turned out

As long as people aren't in the E3 mindset then you shouldn't be too disappointed.I mean, they wouldn't drop a direct at all if it was so bad it's not worth to watch. What kind of marketing is that? Jeez.

There was never supposed to be a Direct yesterday. It was always rumored by insiders to be today (January 11).Everyone needs to calm down.

I just want one surprise. And Ace Attorney. I feel my standards are reasonable even for a mini. :3As long as people aren't in the E3 mindset then you shouldn't be too disappointed.
That's a ludicrously specific question. What can be released in 2017 is affected by what was being developed in 2016 (as was the case with Pokemon) and even games not developed in house will take a ton of work and planning from Nintendo because they keep control of their IPs (as was the case with Metroid 2).What major 3DS releases in 2017 were developed by Nintendo in-house?
I guess if we're talking unexpected third party ports The Witcher 3 could be up there.
For the record, I never said this Direct was third party only. Today's Direct is not third party only.
I said Nintendo is leaning pretty heavily on third party titles + Wii U ports in 2018.
Based on what I know, that's an accurate statement.
That's not a bad thing. Because Switch is getting some really awesome third party stuff this year. Not all of it will be announced during the Direct.

It has all been rather confusing.I'm so confused. Was there no proper Nintendo direct yesterday? I seem to recall there being a massive thread in anticipation for it. I was going to stay up to watch it, but I noticed page after page people seemed to think it was only half an hour to an hour away, which just didn't make sense to me.

10 minutes to go...I've got orientation for my new school today, I fear I may miss this hypothetical Direct because of that...
