Yeah, unfortunately this is still the only good option. I prefer Spotify in every way, but getting Japanese streaming music outside of Japan is still too damn hard. It got better. But I still feel we only get 10% or less of the artists at this point.
Apple Music it is for the time being.
Been watching a lot of Nogizaka46 shows lately to finally get into the group, cause I really liked their 2017 album without actually knowing anything about the members.
Didn't expect to like them that much. Still don't know every member but they're pretty cool overall.
I can safely say Takayama and Ikuta are my girls
The 3rd generation seems to have some pretty likable members so I'm not too worried about the older members of the 1st generation graduating.
(Keyakizaka46 are still the GOAT though)

Was expecting a full length, but I'll take what I can get. I'm a little bummed she's not writing all of the songs, that was what made me like CLOUD 7 so much. Oh well. At least the sasakure.UK track teased at the end sounds great. Hoping for the best on the rest.
They have some pretty great stuff despite being way more classic than Keyakizaka

Yeah they are lacking the cool factor of Keya, but their songs are just as addictive.
Fell into a bit of a J-Rock hole on YouTube the other day and ended up ordering some albums.

いつもの流れ is legit one of my top 5 most listened songs of 2017. That song is addicting, I have no idea why it wasn't a single.
I also have no idea why WANIMA isn't on Apple Music Japan, that frustrates me.
Yeah no idea, especially when bands from the same label are on it. Honestly I don't know how it works. Pre-ordered the album on iTunes anyway.
I think one of the few record companies that put everything is Sony (Yonezu Kenshi isn't there yet tho)
Universal Japan also suck, they don't put big names like back number, Radwimps (aside from a best-of), My Hair is Bad... They recently added SiM so who knows. Hope things pick up in 2018.

And yes, I used to listen to World's End Girlfriend very regularly, for hours on end, several years ago. I think that was around the time I discovered Yume Nikki.
I haven't listened in a few years, though. So sad to hear he's lost a child.
Dunno which one is my favorite, dude's got an incredible discography. I discovered him and Hoshino Gen around the same time in 2013, the two really made me enjoy solo artists, as I was way more leaning towards bands up until that point.

Happy to see that he's been selling more than before since 2015, he deserves way more recognition (I mean he's very popular but still)

Whenever I listen to Blue by Polkadot Stingray, I laugh, because the beginning guitar melody is kinda similar to a song from Tim & Eric. Every time, it just reminds me of Angel Boy. This is a really odd intersect, so I'm sure I'm the only one who thinks this.
Edit: stump sock I did not enjoy that newest Endon album. What do you personally like about it? The first song really tried my patience, and the next two were really just too difficult to pick apart.
