What should I do with all my core crystals? When should I open them? Do I even need them?

Anyone? What's the best way to level up? I'm level 80 and unsure what to do. I tried fightings dinos in Temperentia but the AoE tail swipes one shot my non tank.
Sadly, that's the way it is. It's running at 1280 x 720 when docked. Scaling that to 3840 x 2160 is a tough ask.Hey so I just bought a new TV (it's 4K) and this game is sort of a blurry mess now. I tried a few others including Mario, Zelda, and Splatoon, but it looks worse than when docked on my old TV. Any help?
Yeah, I figured. Not a huge deal but definitely a disappointment.Sadly, that's the way it is. It's running at 1280 x 720 when docked. Scaling that to 3840 x 2160 is a tough ask.
It looks bad on my 4K OLED close up, but it does look fine if I'm sitting away from the screen.
Rex with his story blade... That being said, there aren't any other dedicated healers besides Nia.
What nuance are you speaking of? Poppi QT and QTpi still exist, at least in the German translation (even though the names don't have any deeper meaning in German).Huh, no nuance in the EU translation for Poppi, just Poppi Alpha, Poppi Beta, and Poppi Gamma.
It's such a shame the res is so low. Some areas in the game such Uraya look breathtaking and would look mind blowing even at 1080p. I also think this is just the kind of game where HDR would look amazing too. All that neon.Yeah, I figured. Not a huge deal but definitely a disappointment.
Uraya looks UNREAL. Gormott is a fucking mess. It's such a shame the res is so low. Some areas in the game such Uraya look breathtaking and would look mind blowing even at 1080p. I also think this is just the kind of game where HDR would look amazing too. All that neon.
Roger. Just trying to maximize my time. I might still stick with Tora for a while.Mythra is outright better than Pyra, gameplay-wise. There's no contest. The gulf between them isn't that big early on but by the end of the game it's pretty massive.
All the drivers have plenty of capacity to be good at what they do. I dumped Tora at the first opportunity and never regretted it.

Worth overdriving Finch to No.4 if they already have Perceval? Agility boost (and to a lesser extent, a better base block percentage) being the main reason I'm mulling it over.
The value of moving a blade is always going to depend on what your situation with other characters and blades are. Nobody else is really going to want Finch, and Finch works for that character, so it's a good move in that regard. But it's still like her 5th best blade, with you already having one of the others and the other 3 coming guaranteed, so you may have other blades that are more valuable uses for those overdrives. Or maybe not.
Also I thought we agreed driver names weren't spoilers? There was only one person that disagreed and they had already beaten the game.
Ahh ok, I've not followed the thread too closely, good to know.
Well, I'm just toying with my party really - Rex has everyone he is ever going to need, Nia is in great shape, as is Morag. Tora is as good as he is ever going to get unless I want to grind Tiger Tiger, which I don't meaning he's stuck on the bench for now.
Zeke, who is also sitting it out at the moment, has some great blades at his disposal.
Building my team has been really fun and I feel comfortable with what I've got, just wondering if there's optimum builds I don't know about. I've got a few overdrives left so I'm pretty relaxed about using them.
In that case it probably isn't a bad move. FWIW it's one that I made too since Finch has some neat passives. Brighid and Theory are probably the best agility tank blades, and the other three kind of vary. I'd put Finch at the bottom due to weapon but I've seen a person or two give the edge over Perceval.
Hmmm.
I'll be honest, I finished the main story at the 70-hour mark and, despite adoring my time with the game, felt like my experience was over. But I didn't want to let go of the game just yet.
So I started working my way through some of the unique monsters and here I am, 20 hours later. lol
I don't want to read a guide, but I feel comfortable asking the odd question on here as I try to build a team capable of smashing the superbosses.
Is Theory luck-based or is there a quest I should be looking out for?
If you don't already have her you have a lot of work cut out for you lol.
You have to do the Core Crystal Hunters sidequest to get Praxis, advance part of her affinity chart to open up another quest (Blade-Sharp Memory), and that gets you Theory. Then once you progress their affinity charts far enough there is a third quest you need to do to open the rest of Theory's chart.
The whole thing is pretty missable if you are playing blind since you have to buy a certain bit of information from an informant and go to a specific location to start any of it. But Praxis and Theory are both really good blades.
Well, shit. lol
Thanks for the info... I think!
Sounds like I've got to dig into the nitty-gritty now if I want to get the best team. Wish me luck... though I'll probably run out of steam.
Kinda want KOS MOS, just because people seem so obsessed with her. :P
Other than the Xenosaga nostalgia factor she is also undoubtedly one of the best rare blades to come from random core crystals. It kind of baffles me that I've seen people try to play contrarian and say she's secretly kind of bad when she has stupidly good passives and specials. Self healing auto-attacks, a strong flat damage increase AND enemy defense decrease, completely negates enemy defense when using specials AND an attack boost when using them, and she has a party-wide healing special. She's not as OP as Mythra or optimized Poppi QTpi, but she's definitely in the next tier down.
The combo is break>topple>launch>smash, so the finisher is smash. Can someone clue me in on what a "driver combo finisher" is? My assumption was that I had to kill an enemy during a driver combo but that isn't counting...
The fucking swift travel limitations in Temperantia are fucking terrible. I don't even want to play the game at this point.
I can travel to ONE spot in Temperantia, the rest just beep when I try to go there. Sometimes one other will work for no reasonable explanation.
Fix this shit Monolith. This barren ass zone is too fucking big to make me run back and forth across it fifty times because you're game is a busted POS. This shit has been going on since they "patched" the game.
Edit: Turning the icons off and back on seems to fix it. Still stupid as hell.
Lemme guess... I'm NOT supposed to attack the Power Lines boss in chapter 5 but the big mech instead?

The blade that needs to perform the finisher only has access to BreakThe combo is break>topple>launch>smash, so the finisher is smash.
Nah, you need to get the lines. That said I wouldn't have everyone attack the power lines, you'll just take a load of AoE damage and struggle to live through it. I personally just kept my party members on the robot while I had Rex attack the power line.Lemme guess... I'm NOT supposed to attack the Power Lines boss in chapter 5 but the big mech instead?

I'm trying to clear Peruns affinity chart and this is all I have left but nothing seems to work...
It's a fairly common Rex-ism. He has a whole bundle of them.Rex actually said "WE CAN BEAT THEM WITH THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP" during a fight.
"LET'S SHOW THEM A THING OR THREE!"
