Huh, I put off doing Boreas's affinity chart all this time because I thought you had to do cooking for it but you just buy everything.
I feel like an idiot.

Sorry I saw this late. Luck mod blades are pretty random like any other blades. They can go to any weapon type, any gender type and any element type. Just check the blade stats to see which gives the luck mod. If you're lucky (pun intended) you can get luck blades that have 20% or more modifier.
Also, giving them Urelite chips adds another 50 points to driver's luck so that can help achieve the highest luck possible.
The chip depends on the weapon type. There are 3-4 different chips that give luck to different weapons. Based on the comments I've seen I think every standard weapon type has a chip to give a luck mod.
So I know it's a bad idea to open a lot of cores on Rex because of reasons, but could someone please spoil me and tell me when storyline-wise that happens? Just something vague like "Chapter X, around the middle" would be rad. Using the dude with just Mythra/Wulfric/Roc is kinda boring.
Also is there a good time before post-game to farm for the gacha blades? I'm in early chapter 6 and I've been reading that a lot of those blades are a pain to max out late-game. I did some farming in Chapter 4 but I'm still missing about 10 gacha blades.

At a certain point in the game he gains the ability to use every single blade regardless of who it's owned by. So if you have a blade on Nia you want to use on Rex, you can do so.
It's a pretty big spoiler FYI, but I didn't say when or why so it's not as big as it could be.
Shit, I misread that. Sorry dude lol
Hah! Got 50,000 in Tiger! Tiger!
Then i stacked the Emergency Guard Poppi Swap mod onto Poppi Alpha, which should stack onto her emergency mode for an insane block rate. This combines with Tora's ability to survive with 1 HP once per battle to really help you get out of a sticky situation if he's in play and has Poppi Alpha deployed.
(the trick is to get through a stage without taking damage and without attacking any enemies. Just get a decent number of ether crystals to pad your score on the way down and you'll clear 50k easy).
I'm going to do as much as i can of everyone's affinity chart without having to do any more crazy quests (sorry Ursula!). Maxing Dromarch and Poppi Alpha is in sight. Perun's done surprisingly well given how crazy it was to get her to the second level of affinity.
Thanks a lot. Went ahead and made the changes. I was talking about Nim. Fubbed that one up.I don't know what blade Mia is, do you mean Kora or maybe Nim? Morag is definitely the best driver for Perceval, and he's a great blade for her. But she doesn't need him since in the long run she gets three guaranteed great agility tank blades. It's worth the overdrive if you don't have more pressing moves though. Keep in mind you only get 3 overdrives from loot, and one from each driver for completing their affinity chart, and a few for buying the DLC. After that you have to deal with the grind for 4 crown commons and maxing out their affinity charts.
Beastly core is Wulfric. Earth lance attacker. Ideally you could throw him on Rex and never need to open another core crystal on him again for Reasons. Being an attacker anybody can get by using him but Nia will be the worst candidate.
On the other hand Vess should probably go to Nia since she's a Bitball healer. Nobody else really has any use for her unless you're experimenting.
Why does leveling Ursula up means that I can barely use Ursula.
Who came up with this genius design.

Ursula's quest is awful for Ursula for herself. But it's great for other blades because you can advance affinity charts so fast.
Xenoblade 2X will be a marriage between 2 story telling and X exploration making it the best JRPG created
Just beat the game. Is something else supposed to happen after the final chapter fades to black?
I thought I saw people say they were given an option to save the game?
My screen is just black. Pressing buttons does nothing, but I can still get to the switch menu...
What gives?
I have bad news new, the game seems to "crash" if you dont touche the control while watching the last cut scene, the game goes in a kinda of "sleep mode" and the game glitches, at the end you will be stuck on that black screen, you will have to go menu, close the software, go back to the game and then Beat the last boss again. then just skip the movie and it will take you straight to the Save Screen for your medalJust beat the game. Thank you. And Zenobia is on Nia... Which character should I move her to?
I think Zenobia is a better blade for Zeke and Rex - maybe the latter if you don't want to use an overdrive.
What do you guys think is more important, team composition for bursts or break/topple/launch/smash?
Essentially, I've got Pyra/Mythra, Agate and Roc on Rex, which allows me to control the combo myself (just about).
But I reckon I could be getting a lot more damage out of a different setup, though I'd probably have to relinquish that control.
I know the former is probably better for farming but is it worth it otherwise? Agate and Roc are hardly powerhouses.
In fact, Mythra is so good, I rarely swap her out.
PS. I also think Pyra needs a buff. She's really good in her own right, but using her means you're losing out on probably the best blade in the game. Not really sure how they make her better without making her broken to catch up with Mythra though.
I must have used like 700 combined cores by now and still no KOS-MOS. I'm starting to think that my game is rigged lol.
She was my first blade and I don't even use her after I got Mythra.
Just completed the game last night at level 70. 98 hours in total to complete. That cliche ending though....
Its the first JRPG i've enjoyed since FF12. Im leaving the game as is for now and will resume another play if NG+ is worthwhile. Is there any news on the release date for that or features? Is the post game content worth while?
I found the drop rate for most of them to be decent, a bit on the low side, but after a few ones I got in the earliest parts of the game, I would get a rare in say 10 hours on average (meaning not 10 hours of opening cores heh, just playing the game), it's that last blade which required insane amounts of grinding.Managed to get all the rare blades.
Maybe I just got luckier than most, but I felt that the rare blade drop rate wasn't too bad. I spent one day grinding a few rare blades in the middle of the game (around chapter 5), but other than that, I never grinded, just opened the cores I happened to find as I was playing the game normally. The last two rare blades for me (Vale and Electra) took significantly longer to get than the others, though. I only now just got Electra as I'm finishing the final side quests, long after I've beaten the main story.
I wish I could give advice to those of you who are having trouble getting rare blades, but I don't even know. I feel that I'm still in the dark about what really affects your chances. I'll say one thing though: I used 5 boosters every single time I opened a rare or legendary core. I hear stories of people who use stacks of 99 rare/legendary cores with no results. I have to imagine those people are not using boosters. So maybe boosters have a bigger effect than people think? Idk for sure, but it seemed to help me.
So I finished the riddle on the wall quest and it seems to hint that the quest line isn't over. How do I activate the next quest (I've finished the game)
Couple questions:
I'm not the only one with a weapon slot empty in Rex's Arts menu, right? It seems he can have one last weapon type...
Also, anyone knows what the "annul defense" effect of some Ether Cannon skill is for? Have yet to find an answer.
If only she was the only issue with the game ...Ursula's side quest has to be on of the worst in game history, how did the developers think this would be ok? I'd maybe understand is she was an OP end-game blade or something but she's just a healer, albeit one of the best ones. I just don't understand, think I'm about half way through to 5000 fans though.
I'm at 35 tickets for all sides, how many of those do I need to unlock her 5th chart?Ursula's side quest has to be on of the worst in game history, how did the developers think this would be ok?
