Well, now is the time. There should be quite a few newcomers and there is decent singleplayer content now, too.Is it a bad idea to pick up this game if I never played. I feel like I'll go 0-200 online
I don't really mind losing, it sucks but w.e. But it would be a miserable experience to never win lol
Arcade modes give you a lot of stuff to do/learn that doesnt involve getting your butt kicked by other people. Is it a bad idea to pick up this game if I never played. I feel like I'll go 0-200 online
She's still really good. Her neutral game is obviously a bit nerfed due to st.MK being slower, so her counter hit confirms are a bit worse. Her damage is pretty much the same. New overhead buff is useful as well. Her st.LK is still good.
Laura didn't get a damage buff on her command throw but they should've buffed it tbhCount doing 700 damage with Laura off a c throw. Damage buffs on C throws are unnecessary with how much damage they do without scaling.
It doesn't matter who you pick, but if I had to pick one it'd be Necalli because he gives you a taste of a lot of things. DP, Zoning, Command Grab, Charge, easy v-trigger etc.I don't know who to try and learn when this comes out. I read it's beneficial to newcomers to pick up Ryu or Ken first but I want to try and main Ibuki or Sakura.
Is there a SFV Era Discord? Would be cool to get some tips from people as I learn.
You have to start somewhere. What's better is that you're on a more even playing field with less fake accounts with the influx of more newcomers. Is it a bad idea to pick up this game if I never played. I feel like I'll go 0-200 online
Should go up Tuesday morning.
No, someone got it early and it was updated. There's probably still a day 1 patch to install though. This pretty much confirms the disc only contains the original game file they shipped two years ago, right?
If that's the case I'm out. :/
I'm telling you. Forward heavy punch is going to become the one above all crush counter button by the end of SFV.
JFC Capcom

Last time I checked Trump didn't work in Capcom's marketing department.I'm impressed that Capcom didn't pulled that marketing stunt of "The biggest and most important patch in Street Fighter history"
Don't know what people were expecting, this game seems to include a lot of content on arcade mode alone, I'm impressed that Capcom didn't pulled that marketing stunt of "The biggest and most important patch in Street Fighter history"
We were all in that position at some point. If you jump right into online you will indeed lose intensely and frequently, but there's lots to do in the game besides play online as long as you find the prospect of actually learning to play exciting. Is it a bad idea to pick up this game if I never played. I have a couple questions, is it confirmed that there's absolutely zero difference between the vanilla SFV and Arcade Edition client? Are they both the same? Does the Story Mode for the Arcade Edition still need to be downloaded or is it now bundled within the client?

Disc has full AE v2.0 but the balance changes aren't final and you can't go online w it.This pretty much confirms the disc only contains the original game file they shipped two years ago, right?

? His V-Trigger II gives him two command grabs that he can combo into and which give him a setup after. It may not be Rashid VT2 levels of good, but it's better than he's had in a while.

The disc contains the AE update which is how we've been getting twitch streams of the new content and the new balance from people who've got the discs early. There's still a hefty day-one patch with additional stuff though. For a start Sakura and her stage isn't on the disc since they're part of Season 3.
Thanks for the info. Still having a hard time comprehending how a fighting game could require 21 additional gigs.Disc has full AE v2.0 but the balance changes aren't final and you can't go online w it.
Your game will be updated to AE. If you want the characters you'll buy the season passes 1 & 2 (likely to be discounted). The skins will be given to you if you buy the season 3 pass.Is PC not getting an Arcade Edition people can buy? I only own the base game so it'd be nice to buy AE and get the characters+skins.
It's the usual Unreal Engine 4 thing of replacing pretty much the whole game. Thanks for the info. Still having a hard time comprehending how a fighting game could require 21 additional gigs.
So Steams not going to update their listing tomorrow just to have a $39.99 version that comes with everything?Your game will be updated to AE. If you want the characters you'll buy the season passes 1 & 2 (likely to be discounted). The skins will be given to you if you buy the season 3 pass.

Weeklies and Extra BattleOne aspect that I'm still slightly confused about in AE is fight money - what is going to be the best way to get more offline?
Also her new trigger does seem genuinely useful/dangerous.Very excited for juri changes. Two bar Vtrigger 1 is really good for her.

Did SFV ever receive a PS4 pro update? Not that it matters that much.
17.5 plus the 1.4g in the Appdata=18.9
It always does, because i know i have downloaded more than 60gigs of SFV updates over the last 23 months.hehe, so yeah, the "patch" is the full game :D Hope it deletes the old stuff too so in total it's not going to hog 40GBs
