That ad is weird. Every game is in alphabetical order but yet, Days Gone is last??? And it's also weird that where Days Gone is at, Spider Man should actually be the game in that spot. Would love Days Gone in 2018 but at the same time, I still see it as a February 2019 game regardless of what they say. In other words, I'll believe it when I see it.

I don't understand why Sony are not putting one or two of these 2018 games into 2019?

3 months of this year you have to give to RDR2 as that will be a juggernaut that needs a wide berth so why stack all these games together and possibly sending some to die?

Hasn't Kojima/Death Stranding Twitter said they'll be a surprise about the game announced soon too? Unlikely but could be another surprise 2018 release!

Because they want to make some money (with software) too. They already have games for 2019.

Excluding Sports games and Third Party:

2018

SoTC
GoW
Detroit
Spider-Man
Days Gone
Dreams

2019*

Death Stranding
TLoU 2
Ghosts (Been confirmed for 2019?)

*Not confirmed

Like I say makes no sense to squeeze things like this IMO. And if most of these games are first half of 2018 as Sony execs have said it is even more baffling.

lol no. Death Stranding is 2019/2020.

But there was a tweet about a surprise to be announced? I'm remembering this correctly...Unless Kojima has hypnotised me!

Half of those games are first half. So nothing wrong with that. I don't understand what the issue is. Give me more games. I don't only buy one game every 2 months.

And no. Death Stranding is far away. They said it's baffling, yes. Development is faster than expected. yes. You know how long it takes to create a big new IP his gen? Around 4 - 5 years (see Horizon Zero Dawn). And Kojima didn't even have a studio 2 years ago. Chill. It's not a 2018 game. My guess is Spring 2020. November 2019 if we're lucky.

But didn't Horizon's 4-5 include building an engine? And Kojima is just using the existing engine so that potentially cuts down on his development time considerably (versus HZD and MGSV).

October seems like a good release date because of Halloween. I think ppl tend to find sth relate to play? But i hope it release around July-August that isnt much high profile game release

it's nice to see sony re-"confirming" days gone for 2018 since it wasn't in their 2018 video...

Damn, Bundy is banned but wanted to say that Kojima himself is on record saying DS will release before the year Akira is set so must be this year! (I know this is Kojima but it is from the horses mouth).

He's on record from 18+ months ago?

Yes but no retraction and then this tease I was talking about very strongly suggests the surprise could be release date related.

https://www.gamezone.com/news/death-stranding-s-hideo-kojima-teases-announcement/

Hideo Kojima: SIE told me they "never seen people working on a fast pace like this," so Death Stranding dev is doing well. I plan to announce something in 2018 that'll surprise everyone even more.

I'm very aware he could be on a wind-up but you just never know with him.

I'm more interested to see if Dreams makes it.

Fingers crossed Ghost is March '19, TLoU2 is June '19 and Death Stranding Nov '19.

I hate to disagree with ya but judging by what Druckmann said about the development troubles that he's seeing plus Kojima's endless ambition into his project plus Ghost's lack of gameplay reveal will ultimately place these three games by earliest holiday 2019 - 2020

Yeah I'm more interested in Dreams as well. I can't even preorder it on Amazon Canada.

Also, Days Gone needs to show something more compelling and dynamic. I guess we're all just tired of zombie crap. Thanks, Walking Dead TV show for running the zombies idea to the ground.

How big is this game? For how long it's taking, you'd swear it's Witcher 3 size at least. I get that game development takes forever but I feel like this has been floating around in some form since 2014 and it looked really typical from the trailers and gameplay so far.

Cant compare a brand new IP to a 3rd sequel

I don't know how anyone is surprised. They already confirmed it at PSX.

God of War
Shadow of Colossus
Medievil
Spider-Man
Detroit
Days Gone
Dreams
etc. (Surprise announcements later in the year)

All coming out in 2018.

2019 is The Last of Us Part II, Death Stranding, FFVII:R, Ghost of Tsushima, and whatever else they have brewing.

As far as I know, Ghost, Dreams, GOW, Days Gone and Spider Man are all 2018 titles

They could slip, one could I mean, but as holy shit especially with SotC

2019 lineup will be strong too with Death Stranding and TLoU probably late 2019 and whatever Fumito Ueda has been teasing.

Not to mention KH3 and FF7R.

Just seems like ps5 in 23 months, holiday 2019, would be too soon imo

DREAMS is the PS4 game I am most anticipating. I mean, this game was revealed at the PS4 reveal at PlayStation Meeting in Feb 2013, nearly 5 years ago!
