Yeah but when an opponent rolls away from me I just use a force ability and stop that shit real quick.
Now, your complaint is that the force only works 50% of the time.
Maybe the problem isn't with the rolling, maybe the problem is with the shitty implementation of the force.
That, I can 100% get behind.
Honestly, after playing close to 3 hours of GA, my biggest and most honest takeaway from this patch is that almost nothing has changed.
The game feels the same to me.
I think everyone already knows how much I hate Luke. I don't play as him, so I won't defend his force abilities because I absolutely despise his move set.How do you stop it as Luke / Yoda, all they can do is push enemies away from him
Or Vader, who exposes himself to insane amounts of damage while using Choke.
Honestly the only Heroes that feel as powerful as they should against standard troops are Rey and Maul.
When did people start using the word meta to describe class setups and such?
Problems or not, if you like Star Wars this is pretty much a no brainer for that price. It has a lot of Star Wars to offer. It's a great game.Thinking about getting this since its like 26 on greenmangaming for PC. Is it worth jumping into, or are there still a lot of problems with the game that need to be addressed? Been watching and playing a lot of star wars related stuff lately.

It's basically just a video game buzz word at this point that means any details at all more complicated than the shoot and jump buttons. When did people start using the word meta to describe class setups and such?
I got it during sale on ps4 and been enjoying it tremendously. There are a few annoying things but nothing that bothers me too much. I'm also enjoying GA way more than I did in the first game. Well said. Don't need stronger saber users, no ty. Luke is the only one who needs a buff.
Saber users should not be running into a group of enemies that are aware of your presence. Plan accordingly and hold back and support. Unless you know how to evade accordingly, don't run into a firefight.
Not if you plan it right
Oh come on. Heroes are always present on the minimap. Yesterday on Endor I was Vader in the second phase and a death squad (probably premade) came after me, literally chasing me all the way to the compound wall (which the AT-AT hadn't even destroyed yet).
I recorded it, will upload it.
Literally the only hero I fear as a trooper is Sheev. Maybe Chewbacca depending on where. Wookiee's are the scariest thing on the map, period. It's silly.Oh come on. Sounds like a good team to me. Not letting a hero dominate the battlefield, combining strength to defeat him asap.
What's wrong about that?
Dunno. Being a solo player and having a 6/7 man squad (again, presumably premade) hunting me across the map. It was moreso in reaction to the guy who said that rolling is fine, assuming that it's 1vs1. It never is a 1vs1, people always see where you are on the minimap allowing them to gang up on you. Even if you decide to go for one guy he can just keep rolling while his buddies blast you to bits.
Fix the rolling and/or remove heroes from the minimap. Make people actually look for visual or audio cues as to where heroes are instead of completely gimping heroes that actually try to flank. Again, saber heroes here suffer the most as ranged heroes can simply stay at a range where they don't even show at the minimap but try flanking as Maul/Vader/Kylo vs. a semi-aware team even and you're gonna get destroyed.
But the wookie? Man anything that was fun to use they crippled. Why not just make the other heroes more powerful instead of making everyone weak? I never take the jedis or sith cause they take to long to kill anyone and you die too fast. You dont feel powerful with them i find. So what do they do? They make the characters that were fun to use useless. Great stuff.
I guess their hit detection overall is just total shit then, not even counting rolling. They do, that's why the only class they kill in one hit is the Specialists

Making things stronger doesn't really do anything different from making things weaker. It all is a zero sum game. It's all about trying to achieve a balance.
I was reading through the patch notes and the thing that excited me the most was now specialists can use 2 trip mines!
I'm going to be laying those bad boys all over the objective.
So much heavy class feels so weak now. I switched to assault and was wrecking shit.
It's a bummer that you have to trade your goggles for the mines. I love seeing where everyone is on the map at all times.
Why? Because they nerfed the Sentry? That was the only thing that made the Heavy good for you?
I can still top the leader board with the job turret and explosive sentry.Maybe it was lag or something, but I was shooting the hell out of people last night and they would literally turn around and kill me. I'm used to officers being a pain to kill, but everyone was taking me out last night. The supercharged sentry was great, but now it doesn't do much of anything except slow you down and get you shot to death. For some reason, Assault felt great last night. I switched over and was tearing people apart. I'll have to try again tonight and see if anything feels different. I know this game caught a lot of shit, but I really do love playing it.
