Supernatural Season 13 |OT| Lucky Number 13. And We Gotta Keep Fiction Happy.

This is season is freaking great. And that episode was great.

There were a lot of moments that stood out to me. The angels being legitimately threatening again, the fact that they figured out how to destroy wards with the caveat that it takes a lot of them and it takes a while, the amazing family moment with Jack and the boys.

Even the direction stood out to me. They used a lot more slightly shaky shots, which helped with the vibe of the episode and was a nice change of pace for the show.

Kaia seems like a good character. That Trump line was gold.

Yeah I agree, I expect the bulk of the second half of this season will revolve around the brothers bouncing across alternate dimensions trying to find their way back to jack / their mom. Maybe they'll find a way to reach out to Cas who will end up going on a mission to restore some of lucifer's power so that lucifer can open up a portal to pull them out of wherever crazy land they end up at.

Nah, they'll definitely be back at the end of the next episode. It's the backdoor pilot for Wayward Sisters and the whole point of it will be the girls saving Sam and Dean. But I hope/look forward to seeing more realities.

I have to say, when Supernatural began in 2005, I didn't expect that the show would eventually be tackling dinosaurs and the multiverse.

I love this show.

Hopefully they visit a universe where John Winchester is Batman.

I just finished watching season 12 and man...

I enjoy this series, I really do, but the Winchesters are hypocrites and the show goes out of it's way to prove them right. EVERYTIME. Start the apocalypses? No prob, just have their pet angel/devil or freakin' God deus ex machina the whole situation. Kill someone? No sweat, those guys deserved it. Get someone killed? Hey, it's part of the job. I'd have no trouble believing that Winchesters are the elite, badass hunters that the show wants us to root for, but the way they have been going about it is ridiculous. I would appreciate it more if the show embraced that the brothers (and mom) are dysfunctional hunters with a twinge of a death wish to them. They can even play up the fact that they are obviously cursed and that anyone who aides them are more than likely going to die. But their actions don't seem to have consequences and are sometimes swept under the rug. And I still waiting for them to address the fact that they've left their half-brother to rot in the cage as Michael's vessel. I would like Sam and Dean more if they'd own up to their mistakes and learn from them instead of being sanctimonious dicks /rant

Question: Do the show get better in those regards?

I feel like I watched a different last batch of episodes than you guys. I just am not feeling this season. I am still watching because it's something to watch. It really feels like there's little to no direction at this point.

There really are enough ideas out there to milk this show to an even two decades if they want to now that they can travel a multiverse. Such a cheap way to bring back fan favorites that were killed off years ago. It's going to be disappointment if they get back to their earth by the end of the season and the portals are locked permanently, another waste like the leviathans.

If we go full batshit crazy Multiverse, I want a permanent return of Dad, and a showdown between the family and Demon Dean paired up with Lucifer Sam. Just go full fanfic, no half measures.

Exactly. Give the kids what they want, all the shipper iterations, all the bad guy good guy combos. Everything. Gay pairing, lesbian pairings. Angel demon pairings. Whomp whomp whomp. Go out with a bang, literally. End with some quest that has archangel Michael trying to kill off the other multi verses to rule it all and pull dead favorites through to "our" reality for a final mega battle. Go fully self aware.

Hell I'd even love an arrowverse crossover. It would likely piss off the comic fans but from what I've seen Stephen Amell is friends with Jensen and Jared so I'd honestly love that. And just imagine them learning about metas and aliens. Fun idea but I feel like fans from both fandoms would get pissed D:.


I want a universe where Ash doesn't die :(. I miss Ash. But he's happy in heaven loool. I want more closure like that. Where we see em in Heaven and whatnot. Ash being prohacker and going between Heavens was awesome.

Honestly, as much as I hate Destial, if they do the whole multiverse thing there would theoretically be a universe where Destial exists. So as long as it happens in just that universe sure. It'd be pretty funny to see the reactions of our Dean and Cas to it tbh. Also hopefully it will stop the annoying twitter shippers that keep getting angry for it not happening :/

At first I thought The Bad Place reminded me a lot of where Dean hung out with his vampire pal, but obviously that's not the case. It's a little weird that the frist alternate world is literally just alternate history, and then this one just appears to be Monster Land.

I like Asomodeus sorta, but he doesn't seem that different other than the accent and the scare. I want more depth and backstory to him.

This was a lot better than the Bloodlines episode. Maybe it's because these characters are little established. Or maybe because this story is actually interesting. I'd check out a series.

I plan on watching this when I get home. Anyone else have any thoughts to share on this episode?

That ending had me going "YOOOOOOOOOOOO." The only thing I was worried about was how were they going to keep the girls from standing on the same plot lines as Sam and Dean, but they dealt with that pretty easily. There's even room for a big crossover if they want it.

I was kinda nervous about it considering the series was off for a while I wasn't sure I wanted to return directly into a backdoor pilot(despite being one I was legitimately interested in) but it works.

There was some very minor issues personally but really enjoyable all together and a great way to have had it connected.
One of the best hooks as well.

I kind of hated this episode. The coolest thing to happen to Sam and Dean in a while and we spend most of the episode following the "sisters" around. I kinda knew what kind of bs I got into when a 15 year old girl managed to over power a werewolf. I don't mind that she killed them but you're telling me a fully grown werewolf on top of this girl was put on his back by her AND THEN stabbed?

I know I'll get hate for this. I just didn't like it at all and I love Jodie and Minnesota cop.

Solid Episode. Nothing amazing, and Claire's reasoning is flimsy, but hey whatever gives us the spin off is okay in my books. Sucks that it was that easy to bring back the brothers, I wanted em to jump through portals and have a good ol adventure to be back just in time to fight. That ending, though what the flying fuck.

Holy shit, was it just me or was that the most fantastic opening ever? The music was fantastic and the scenes used were absolutely fitting with the song! Like during the part where the song picks and goes I am the FIRE and the Angel gets stabbed in the throat at that exact moment, or later in the song where it's going I am the fire and every "I am" has a scene of Kaia screaming. Like damn that was amazing.

So guess it is confirmed that Sam & Dean did go to the bad place, were those predator knockoffs lol? And a King Kong knockoff too? Wonder if he created all the predator dudes.

Glad that is was just full out homeward sisters, and despite it being filler was soooo good. I also like the homage to the first episode of the series "Dad's on a hunting trip, and he hasn't been home in a while" or something like that, and Jody says roughly the same thing about Sam & Dean.

As for that ending, shit...what do you guys think? Do you think that's evil doppelganger or a monster than can possess bodies and gain their abilities(in this case dream walking)?

Super solid episode, I loved it. Sad that Kaia died though...

I wonder if the Big Bad this season is just a Council of Kaias shitting up the multiverse because they can. Would be a neat twist compared to all the Angel and Demon related ones.

This was much better then I was expecting. I definitely got the feeling that they actually took the time with this one opposed to that awful Bloodlines (written by the same guy who did this one). Anyways this was pretty well written, for the most part the cast is likable, new monsters and mythology and not just Supernatural with girls. I hope this gets ordered to series as it's something I would definitely watch.

Supernatural is back, pilot was good, we got some more of Jurassic park word, and we saw what looked like a That coupled with an alternate timeline wrecked by a powerful divine being, an just means we Dragon Ball now fam!

Maybe. Either that or my other theory is that due to her dream walking to that bad place a lot either bits of her consciousness got left behind and manifested themselves into an army of Kaias, or when she got hurt in that bad place they cloned her and again army of Kaia. Either way, army of dreamwalkers.
