It's written like they don't really have an outline and make it up as they go along. Sometimes they get it right like with Kale x Caulifla vs Goku, but other times not so much. These last couple of eps haven't been too bad, but it took fucking forever to get good.
Togashi just fucks my mind with his overtly dense writing style.
That because they not fighting fodder anymore
but they do follow Toriyama outline but considering how much the manga and anime different it's not very detailed he probably just have shit like the members and who gets eliminated but vague and allows room for them to do whatever
I hope there are actual consequences this time. Chrollo vs Hisoka whilst cool was pretty much just fanservice that did nothing.

He's man made out of Bungee Gum now. I think he even lost his leg in that fight or something.
Well, it was an eye-opener for Hisoka after he got his shit kicked in. He's done with thinking he can tackle anything regardless of circumstances and is now taking the fights to his "toys" on his terms instead of letting them decide the time, place and circumstance of said fight.

Well yeah because he's weak as shit he relies on stealth so he creates an even more powerful camouflage at least my headcannon

I enjoyed Chrollo vs Hisoka. It displayed Chrollo's incredible skill and application with his abilities.
I mean they are eaten with clothes on so maybe what you are eaten in influences what you're born in.

It's a pretty big character moment for Hisoka and is going to largely effect the Phantom Troupe. If Kurapika survives Dark Continent he may team up with Hisoka again because of it.
Or once Hisoka finishes off the Troupe he may move on to Gon and friends in the same way.
I have a feeling all parties Kurapica, Chrollo and Hisoka are going to be dead or damaged
Hisoka is already technically damaged. He just patched himself together with his own Nen. He probably falls apart regularly after he goes to sleep for all we know.
Yep, have the same feeling. A lot of plot points are going to be resolved in this arc. Hisoka and Chrollo are definitely not returning from this trip.

Nice to see you all. I just wanted to stop by and say that I became a fan of this series just last year. I haven't finished the Chimera Ant arc (English dub on Toonami) yet and I feel the show is just getting more crazy (good) at this point. I do have one question that I want spoiled for me: Does Gon ever find his dad?

In a way. I don't want to say too much, because so much happens in the CA arc that changes Gon.
My head canon is that he was just eaten by a Chimera Ant any way.
