So the GOP's only option now is to end the filibuster completely, buy off its skeptical members in the worst way possible, and move the budget really far to the right or compromise with Democrats. My guess is they'll go with the former.

There is a sports choking analogy in here somewhere.

GG Republicans, you just played yourselves.
I saw a video a few days ago on Trump talking about how sports teams choke when they finally reach the big game.. he was making an analogy on why he's a winner and everyone around him are losers.

Today, I don't feel like the PotUS is winning.

If they actually due that right on the eve of 2018 elections I'm gonna assume they are in fact intentionally committing political suicide.

There can be no other explanation.

Wow at the NYT. Any doubt that they're trash is all gone with that type of alert.

Dems could have all voted for it and the motion would hav failed.

Been out of the loop today. How goes the impending shutdown? Is there any sort of DACA deal on the table or was it completely scrapped?

The shit hole party couldn't even secure their own GOP votes, and they are trying to shame DEM over this, the balls on these assholes.

So torn on the NYT comments.

On one hand, we should be able to separate actual reporting from opinions/analysis/editorials.

But on the other hand, what in the actual fuck?

I am no sports guy. But the Republicans are the Atl Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs when it actually matters?

The Republicans are basically unaware that its not considered winning because you have scored multiple goals... on your own net.

They spent too much time sucking themselves off Bannon style that it resulted in the greatest choke of all.

McConnell isn't dumb enough to end the filibuster mere months before he's submerged in a blue wave.

Dems say Trump walked away from last minute deal with Schumer today where Dems made serious concessions

Jennifer Shutt @JenniferShutt

Fun fact: President Donald Trump was sworn in on Jan. 20, 2017. The government shutdown will begin on Jan. 20, 2018.
