Big Team Battle sucks y'all

Bungie hadn't made a good BTB map since Gulch (Timberland was a Gearbox map) and the sandbox over time grew progressively worse to sustain that gametype.
Don't fall for the hype
I disagree, Sidewinder, Coagualtion, Containment, Waterworks, Headlong, Terminal, Relic, Avalanche, Rats Nest, Valhalla. ect. were some awesome maps!

If they do, I REALLY hope its exactly like Halo 5. REQ system was awesome. No dupes and you could sell your cards back at a decent price too, just make it easier to sell in bulk. (Please no crafting system)

Yep, I never felt the urge to spend a penny on Halo 5 REQ packs and they had no impact on competitive game modes.

It's almost like complaining about shitty businesses practices and creating bad PR for companies helps in getting new games to not use these shitty business practices

Putting loot boxes in a game after 2017. They really want the government to step in huh.

It's a terrible business practice, that's already been agreed.

I'm just surprised MS hasn't put loot boxes in windows yet and have people gamble to performance boost buffs that last a week.... Don't do this don't do this don't do this
I mean they already inject ads into windows 10 and auto download garbage games

I know it won't happen but I hope they just ditch that REQ pack shit completely. It didn't take long for me to notice that it took two or three hours of gameplay to get one gold pack, which would MAYBE give me one piece of an armor that I wanted, but most of the time it was just fucking trash.

It was a lot of fun working for achievements in Halo 3 for armor, and it wasn't too bad getting in-game cash to buy armor in Reach. I don't remember (or care) how it worked in 4, but the method of playing hours on end in Guardians to maybe get the set I want was a pretty big turn off, but I guess that's just the story of games these days in general...

"Sequel to game that had REQ Packs that were very successful has similar system."

Halo 5 REQ's were perfectly fine. Same system should be in place for 6.

Uhm they were game affecting... Warzone used this weapon variants that all behaved different... same shit with Halo Wars 2 and that glorious Blitzmode lol
I mean yeah but the game threw REQ packs at you as long as you played the game a decent amount. I never once bought REQ packs and I was able to be competitive in Warzone the few times I did play it (Don't really like Warzone for other reasons.)

As long as they I keep the same system I could care less tbh.

This is bunk. We're not reevaluating anything (significant) and "Microsoft" isn't designing anything for the next game - 343 is. We watched the EA battlefront thing with the curiosity you'd expect - but our current req system is player focused and well liked and unintrusive as far as these things go.

We have made zero announcements about our next projects and continue to work on our next game and technology with player's needs and interests in mind.

However the story as loosely presented as it is - has no bearing on or relation to any current efforts.

I suppose you could say "company x is evaluating feature you" and always have some grain of truth, but we are neither aping nor adapting an unrelated system from another game.

This follows an equally vague rumor about an issue with our engine, which in fact is counter to significant ongoing improvements and evolution of our tech.

If there were some nugget of truth to both, I'd just ignore it. Development is rife with normal examples of both of these "stories" but in this case there aren't even notable small examples that this could have been based on.

Certainly in the future we'll be evolving our systems and tech and maybe these general and vague statements will have brief applicability. But right now? Nah.

They don't have to ditch the Req system but I would like an additional way to unlock whatever cosmetics you want. Kinda like the Scrap system in Gears 4.

I unlocked everything in 5 just by playing so I don't really care.

Given the above, I'm locking the thread for now.

Besides, it's no secret that every publisher out there is looking at Battlefront 2 and learning from the controversy.
