Fire element is redundant since Brighid is vastly better and while the damage reduction passive is neat, it isn't really necessary for an agility tank.
Newt could be a decent blade if you wanted to try to make Zeke an HP tank or something, but I don't see a reason to use her on Morag.
Yeah I think you're right. I kinda wish there was an additional party member. There's SO many blades and not enough drivers.
Taking Newt as an example, she's a tank. By that virtue you'd naturally assume she would go with Morag or Tora (though he can't have her for obvious reasons).
But she's a tank that grants bonus HP rather than agility, meaning she's not much good to Morag, and the only other tank in the game is Tora who, as we all know, can't bond with blades.
That means, if you want to use Newt, you have to start jamming her in to someone else's line-up.
Putting her on Rex seems pointless. Not only does that eliminate your control over the break/topple/launch/smash combo but it duplicates an element you already have with Pyra.
You don't want her on Nia as you want to avoid drawing aggro to her, which leaves Zeke.
She works on Zeke but he's essentially setup as a fighter and there are sooo many good attackers, why waste a slot?
Plus you want to keep aggro off him too and will probably be using him in conjunction with a tank. If he's got a crit/heal accessory it makes even less sense to use her on him. lol
I will continue to toy around with my setup, maybe I need to be a little more open to mixing and matching my blades...
And on another note, I've only just discovered - 97 hours in - there's a whole ground floor level to Temperantia!
I've already found three unique monsters, another quest and a heart-to-heart. I feel like an idiot, but man, it's awesome to still to be discovering new stuff.
