It's just like Brave Frontier. Omni Units (which are technically 8* units, but it's the same concept) absolutely shit on the 6-7* units. A few exceptions exist there and I am sure some will here as well, but overall they are just way too powerful compared to the lower ranked units.
At least in BF's case, Omni units don't require dupes in order to awaken. That's the thing that's puzzling here - Omnis shattered the balance in BF but at least they're easy to get.
Here, 7* units are absurdly broken and almost impossible for most players to get their hands on.
7* Queen has a skill called "W(double) Piercing" which allows her to use her Piercing abilities twice. She has two Piercing abilities to choose from; a 12-hit 550% attack called "Armor Piercing" and a second 750% 1-hit "Hollow Piercing". Presumably one to chain and the other to finish.
She also has an ability called "Exploder", which can be used only once every 3 turns, and sacrifices 95% of your energy for 1,500% 9-hit lighting attack, it also triggers her Berserk ability so that also increases damage.
Lastly, her "trust ability" gives her "True DH+100%", and she gets an additional +300% DEF/SPR buff when Berserk kicks in as well.
So with DH she gets +100% ATK but she still is able to hit twice with W Piercing, if she decides to go DW, she also gets W Piercing + DW. So win-win in either setup.
How stupid do you have to be, to wish you'd pulled a 2nd Trance Terra, just to be reminded a few days later that you apparently did a few months ago?

[JP] Cactaur dunesed out of it. Dark Veritas is maxed at 120 and Ive Tidus up to 116 (would have been capped if Id got the "great success's" that I did with DV). Calling it a day. No idea how much longer weve the fuse up rate but advise all who have 7*s unlocked make use of it with the dunes while we do, especially if the cactaur fusing trick isnt intended and gets patched out. It does seem too good even ifit does make sense....

Doesn't work. Your DRain just gets blinded every round and harmlessly misses the King 23,577 times a round.
Won't be long now. Just a few more levels and better accessories and she should easily break 1500 mag. Might even break 1600 if I replace the Siren Robe with Victoria's.
My unit is built identical to the one in the video, where they use Marie's Lovely Guard to protect against status ailments. I could switch one of Desh's Earrings with Ifrit's Claw, which would drop his attack from 1170 to 1125 but protect against blindness, but you will still have to deal with confusion.
Ahh, don't worry about it. There's nothing that critical that comes from beating it. The idea of spending 100 energy for a single try angers me enough not to attempt it again.

I went ahead and made the change, even with Ifrit's Claw he is only 15 attack below the one in video. In case you change your mind, I'll keep him up as long as boss is up.
EDIT: Also, added confusion resistance as well, still over 1K Attack. This way you won't need a Marie, to cast Lovely Guard, or need to deal with status ailments.
Might use the Marie slot for imperil dealer like Ace to make up the damage

By the way: Was there ever any mention of an upcoming increase in friend slots? 130 is an odd looking number, make it 150 at least. =/
Huh. I had no idea that 7 Star units had been added.
I had mostly been on cruise control on most of my gacha games recently though.
Too bad I am pretty sure I already wasted at least 1 or 2 5 star dupes in the past.
I did just pull an extra Ace yesterday from my free pull. I guess I should actually level him up and try it out...

Depends version. If you play JP version, yup they added 7* to it yesterday. If you play global, like most of us. There will be about 1 year wait before we get 7* units.
Thats so stupid. If they want rid of chaining they should do something to it so that it wont break some of the units. Let it break all / remove the fucking chaining.

If you're using TDH Tidus is there any reason to use Quick Trick though? Surely using him as a chain ender with ジェクトシュート2 would be better.

I've yet to replicate this, it never fully chained. Tested several times with a friend Tidus already, manual of course.

Honestly...i really didn't know that switch controls won't work on the jpn version haha. I always thought only tmr farming using an emulator was forbidden.
I was in the game without having had to download new data. Saw the monthly rewards, daily gift, compensation, etc. But then I had to reboot because the Vortex banners were all blank.
Damn, I'm jealous as hell. D=
Reberta is one of the units I really want, not just because of the skillset/TM but mostly for the character design.
I got INichol, P. Jake, and G. Sakura using 15 tickets the first night the banner appeared. Damn if that sakura isn't a fantastic unit, between her and K. Delita i managed to kill erinyes (undying fervor is such a great skill for someone without ribbon's). And against Aigaion she was my Re-Rise unit. even used TM moogles to get her TMR and have her at 953 mag right now

One Reaper done, second at 50%, Dark Bond done and one of four patriotic recall are done. Both my GLS will not be at max potential due to the lack of flat mag damage. I've got two luneths sitting around at 0% Sometime in the next two weeks they will be done and then I can push them past 1050 into 1200 mag range+
In other news this Skeleton King Nightmare is right up there with Malboro. Fuck em both. Tried the demon rain strat and got wrecked because I wasn't paying attention to what skills he was using for iNichol in the video. I was using Redirect instead of Doppleganger and D-Rain was getting wrecked. 100 energy wasted and one of my few Light Veritas friends down the drain. Try again, can't find another LV friend. Fight starts, I forgot to protect against breaks around turn 4 and get wrecked. 200 Energy wasted. Go farm more keys, 100 energy. Will attempt for like the 5th time.

I was flipping through the new banner units on the reddit unit list. Seems like these three are relatively unimpressive?
They normally are, yes. But right now the $50 iTunes card is $42.50 and the 5,000 Amazon Coins bundle is $46.50. Usually there is no discount on iTunes and there is a much better discount on the Coins. Today it's flipped.
