LG:
Kill the G series and focus on the V series along with mid range devices
I'm still baffled at how awful the skin is on LG still after all these years. Every other heavy skin improves every iteration. LG is still the same awful pseudo ios ugly.
Oh yeah. Maybe I'll get one of those but prices are too high...I had a few LG device and I was always satisfied with them. But when I got the V30, after a day of use I went back to the razer phone. Disappointing cause I really likes the V20(besides the image retention issue).
Speaking of the razer phone, I don't think I can go back to less than 8gb ram well may 6 ..., its really amazing how apps don't reload after multitasking.
Their mid range is a dumpster fire unfortunately. They had the k10 in 2016 which was a solid piece of plastic, albeit with a slow SD410 and some pitiful ram, but it was a decent piece of hardware. The X series had potential too, but it was too fragmented, had some awful build quality, and the only decent piece of hardware-the X Mach-launched for too high a price with a weird SoC choice, SD808 in late 2016 early 2017. Then things dropped off a cliff in 2017, and 2018 is gonna see them continue to use Mediatek garbage, along with flimsy plastic cause for some reason removable batteries is the hill theu chose to die on, instead of say, the volume keys on the back.LG:

get Bluetooth headphones. The headphone adapter supplied with my Pixel 2 worked on and off from when I got it, and a few weeks ago stopped totally. I contacted Google Support and they said they would send a replacement, but it hasn't been sent yet, 11 days later. And maybe it will take weeks to be shipped after that to Australia?
use Nova Launcher.I had removed the date and weather information from the top of the pixel launcher but today I got an update and it's back now, and it doesn't seem to be able to be removed? It can be customised, but not removed.
take all of your personal information and post it online. Please help quick, I got a moto g4, how do I disable system updates (preferably permanently)?
i'm pretty convinced that nowadays the only people that buy Sony phones do it because they're made by SonyWith Meizu/Xiaomi switching to side mounted fingerprint sensors Sony could be finished in this market in a few years max. I need a new device and ran into a huge problem: nothing comes with an NPU. It's looking like an LG G6+XZ1C when it comes down to $300 around the time of MWC. That's a solid $520 plus tax.
I need a really small android device that gets OS updates consistently as a flagship so some people may accuse me of being an Sony astroturfed but that is not the case. I just want great smartphones with flagship features at a cheaper price.
Around the end of the year the Honor 10 should be out with an NPU and all the features of the P20 for a much cheaper price.
That's me since 10+ years or so, I just love the convenience knowing where everything is , videoplayer (except on lolipop) and walkman app are excellent. It's possible newer Sony phones aren't as good anymore though, I got a z5 and sent it back immediately, absolutely horrible phone (slow, got hot just from turning it on lol).i'm pretty convinced that nowadays the only people that buy Sony phones do it because they're made by Sony
The moto g4 I just got was 130€ new, I think it's great, I love the screen, unfortunately it's for someone else though, I might get one for myself however, it looks gorgeous. Best thing no finger print sensor and a 3.5 headphone jack. ;)Picked up a Moto E4 a few weeks ago and unlocked it (one of the Verizon prepaid phones for $40, then an unlock code for $2, so around $45 total with taxes and all).
Gonna say, it's been surprisingly good so far. I originally bought it as a backup phone, and I've been using it for about a week now for work and it's been pretty solid.
Of course, it's not without a few issues. Calling seems to be kinda iffy depending on who's calling/who I'm calling (the phone has to swap back to 3G to make calls a lot of times; can't call certain people if they have a REALLY old phone).
No VoLTE or Wifi Calling sucks too, but I didn't really have those on my previous phone so it's not too bad.
(Blame AT&T for being restrictive since they don't sell the phone themselves.)
i know how to turn it off... in theory anyway.Lol, wtf. Why even answer if you don't know.
There must be a way to turn it off somewhere?
But probably not permanently on newer android versions from what I'm reading?
Disable? Please help quick, I got a moto g4, how do I disable system updates (preferably permanently)?
Oh, is it? On kitkat I always had to disable it (which worked permanently) and on my z3 with lollipop I have to disable the update service (which will always turn itself back on upon reboot)
But ok, good to know it won't update itself automatically then (probably).

some phones will automatically do it on boot if they find an update.

sony phones are weird... like they genuinely feel last gen for ages. Stubbornly sticking with the same design along with the (disabled in the US) fingerprint sensor location adding a bunch of side bezel.
They update their rom quickly but the trade off is that is even more bare bones than pixel (still no night light I think?). Still has an app drawer button... heck they even got rid of their old nav buttons for just pixel buttons. At least they speed up the animations by default so it does feel quite snappy.
2018 might be on to something though, with working fp sensor in the US without flashing a europe rom, 18:9 4k OLED display.
There's swipe up to access apps and can also remove the app drawer icon. With the update in the home launcher a month or two back.sony phones are weird... like they genuinely feel last gen for ages. wait for 8S/XSThe rumored XZ Pro sounds incredible. I've only ever used iphone but I feel like switching to android now. The iphone hardware and ios have really gone to shit, I can't even update to the new software because it ruins phones. I have a Mac, but when I think about it, I'm not really tied into the apple ecosystem. I use chrome and gmail and the rest of the apps I use are third party anyway. Only thing that ties me down is imessage. Has anyone recently switched over and regretted it?

The gamechanger is that its insanely fast screen on as well. No throttlingPeople were not exaggerating. Dash Charge is goddamn insanely fast.
Yeah, it's crazy. I'm glad OnePlus released the kernel code to let this work in custom ROMs as well. The gamechanger is that its insanely fast screen on as well. No throttling
What's the best USB-C cable to use for Samsung Galaxy S8 on fast charging?
I need one that's larger than the one it came with (I'm looking for 6.6 feet), & so far I'm looking at Amazon & Monoprice.

Seems like Sony might be ditching the headphone jack too
