The dreamcast didn't run on Windows CE.
I'm about to try AWeb on my Amiga. I best not be disappointed.
holy hell, reminds me of when i was a kid and had to use my dreamcast as a computer when my desktop died. i had the monitor and the keyboard/mouse set up on my desk... it was impressive how much of the net you could work around with the browser and 3rd party tools users created to download/view content on the DC. i remember using email/aim/msn and the IRC client built in to make chat rooms with school friends or find random rooms to chat about whatever...

When I got my dreamcast, we ran a 56k phone line across the house and into my room, giving me FINALLY porno in a room where I could lock the door.
The first weekend I had my DC, I legitimately hosted a porno party with some friends who spent the night. It was... awkward.
But damn we abused the shit out of the zoom button in the browser.
Because everyone is disabling or blocking older protocols/clients because they're giant exploits due to Heartbleed and other exploits. Means that every browser past a certain point is effectively shut off from the internet now.
Looks like Cloudflare is blocking it based on the DC browser's useragent, probably some old ass Mozilla if it was the same browser they used in GameCube Phantasy Star Online.

Dreamcast was my first access to Internet at home, parents didn't feel like spending the money for a computer before that. I eventually got one like six months later but it was really nice for the time being. Met a bunch of people on the Sega IRC that I still talk to.

Keep in mind, this was 1999. This was before most of my friends had the internet period, yet alone the internet in their bedrooms. And my internet was on a 32" CRT television, way bigger than the computer monitor in your living room. This was a time when going out into the back woods to look for dirty magazines older kids had left behind was legitimately probably the only way you'd see a boob or two at the time.
I remember the summer right before I got the Dreamcast watching cinemax all night long hoping they'd show something (and they usually didn't). The Dreamcast was like this:

Why WOULDN'T I be using the Dreamcast to visit Era in 2018? For that matter, why isn't ResetEra compatible with the most popular Sega Dreamcast webbrowser out there??

I'm sure they did. I must have left my bedroom that weekend for like 10 minutes top only to grab food.
Between Porno, Sonic Adventure, Soul Calibur, Power Stone, and Ready to Rumble, that was probably one of the most fun weekends of my entire life. Got the Dreamcast on 9/9/99 which was a thursday, took friday off, and had a 4 day glorious weekend.

Technically, you could use a webbrowser on the Amiga CD32 and Amiga CDTV. And the Atmark Pippin had a built in browser too.
Also, the dreamcast had 56k (which was standard at the time) and you could get a broadband adapter, which makes your DC just as fast as a modern internet appliance.
Saturn had one too if you bought the modem, I actually bought it but had to return it because my parents didn't have a credit card which was required to sign up for the Internet plan.
