After getting out of the Dentist yesterday afternoon my mother got herself something and they were surprisingly offering free side orders of fries, guess they are testing them here. Tried one of them and it was delicious, easily the best fast food french fry out of the big national chains. I don't eat at Taco Bell often even though I love their food but I hope this becomes a permanent addition as it was really yummy.

They've had these in the UK Taco Bells since I moved over a couple years back. Weird at first, but better than the tortilla chips they use UK-side. Had some last night in fact.

Enjoy, y'all. :P

Good. Go ahead and please add them so their food can look even less Mexican that it already is. It bothers me to no end how many Americans think they're eating authentic Mexican food at Taco fucking Bell! Taco Bell is as Mexican as french fries are French.

Most actual authentic Mexican restaurants have fries on their menu. Potatoes are cheap and global. Source: I live in a place where there's entire blocks of 100% Mexican businesses where if I took a picture you'd thought I was sending pics from Mexico due to the complete lack of English and Mexican license plates. US Taco Bell is basically catching up to them. The reason US Taco Bell hasn't had them is because they went on for the longest time in the US about how they were Not McDonalds Or Burger King so they had no burgers or fries.

Taco Bell took Mexican food and improved it with science.

I like fries, but Taco Bell's always been pretty gross and the last time I ate there I felt sick afterwards. I don't feel like being stuck on the can again.

Born, raised and living in SoCal so I know what good Mexican food is (And it is glorious) but I seriously doubt most Americans think Taco Bell is authentic.

You can eat and love Taco Bell all you want but do not call it "improved Mexican food". They had to have Mexican food first in order to improve on anything.
Yeah, I'm in the "no sane person thinks of Taco Bell as authentic mexican food, it is its own beast" camp. It's tasty as hell, but it ain't mexican.

You think random Italian people get this heated because they think Americans take chef boyardee and dominos as an authentic Italian meal?

lol My wife does. She's Italian American and she has LOTS of opinions on Olive Garden lol

But yeah, I never said Taco Bell was GOOD Tex-Mex, but hey, it's cheap and good in a pinch. Like tonight, since my wife is out of town and I almost burned the kitchen down trying to cool the other day haha

But seriously, I've been to Mexico and have had authentic Mexican food, and have had authentic Mexican food at a few hole in wall places near me.... but, I think I prefer Tex-Mex over Mexican.

I'm kidding. T-Bell has its place, but it's more of a close-your-eyes-and-strap-on-your-feedbag kind of a experience than anything remotely cultural.

taco bell was founded in california. it's just americanized or rather san bernardino-ized... and then stonerized.

Had the Nacho Fries Supreme for lunch today. Seasoning on the fries is rather good, but the ground beef was typically bland. Several packets of Diablo Sauce improved it dramatically.

I ordered Taco Bell yesterday and there was french fries in the bag. I didn't order them. I tried some of the fries. They were okay.

Glasgow, Scotland
The first Taco Bell in Scotland recently opened in Glasgow and my girlfriend and myself visited after a few drinks (many many drinks). We got fries that were seasoned very nicely and a cheese sauce dip thing on the side. It was actually fucking glorious.

How can you not have these in the US?

Fuck Taco Bell until they bring back the volcano menu or the daredevil grillers.

The Taco Bell near my apartment just reopened and I've seen the poster about the fries hiding in the far back of the kitchen, knew they were imminent. Now they just gotta bring back the Bell Beefer!

Ehhh, the fries by themselves are meh, I don't like the seasoning, it tastes like Doritos.

The Supreme ones are better because the sour cream and cheese mask the seasoning so you just taste the fries, but it's not worth the price.

Stacker was pretty good, but I would still rather get a Fritos Burrito, it's more food for the same price.
