DRAFTING FIRST YEAR PLAYERS

To make a draft list, click on GOBL at the top -> Transactions -> Draft Pool -> Draft List. Then drag player names over to the list on the right.
I recommend selecting OR in the dropdown next to their name once on your list. You may add as many names as you like to your list. From there, I recommend clicking the 'available actions' buttons and choosing 'Copy&Past current round to all rounds'. This will ensure that you get the top player you want OR the next guy on your list throughout the draft.

As we approach the playoffs, end of this season -- and eventually a new version of OOTP, I want to take a step back from running the league at all points.
I don't mind lending a hand while someone learns the ropes or needs some help with the hosting end, but I would like someone to take over as commissioner of the league (doing the daily sims, running trades, and taking care of the bugs and such that come with that). I can fill in on those duties on the spot if needed, but doing it every day is no longer something I want to add to my list.
My hope is that we have a current member of the league willing to take over this role, and hopefully one that is active within the MLB threads that could possibly gather more human GMs. We've been running on a half tank for far too long now.
I'm moving next week, and while that's a temporary problem, I'll be running a wood shop at the new house along with everything that comes with taking care of a few acres.
If you have any interest in taking over GOBL for the coming season, please let me know via PM or contact me on our discord server.

Update:
I have offered to take over commissioner responsibilities from Brentech. He will retain commissioner access and will perform services as needed when I am unable to do so in a timely fashion or need a hand but following our migration to a new server (ootpera.com) I will generally perform the sims, handle trades, etc.. heading into the 2021 offseason.

Anyone interested in joining the league let me know, GM list is at the bottom of this message. Brentech has done a great job maintaining a fair league, we aren't preying on CPU teams so many of the open teams are currently highly competitive. Most divisions came down to the wire with battles between AI and Human teams in almost every bracket. I'm also more than willing to walk someone through the process of getting familiar with how the game works.
Time in obviously helps you be a bit more competitive, but I would hazard to guess that most of our members probably do a 10-15 minute per day check with the landmark events (amateur draft, first day of free agency) consuming more time. A non-trivial number of our group get by just fine only checking in once every few sims while still being highly competitive, so after you get your hands around the league it is only as much of a time sink as you want it to be.
We will likely move to OOTP19 shortly after it releases. Not only does it offer some interesting new features (arm slot and the ability to employ two way players) but it will also be available as part of Origin Access this year, making it the most cost effective early transition in OOTP history I'd wager.
