I'm really tempted to at least try Shadow haha
After all those times I summoned his useless ass in Brave Exvius it will be nice to see him actually get some use in this game
Well, I'm done. I tried re-rolling a few more times, and while I did get a couple decent results, I needed to spend all of my gems to get there. I'm just going to remain with my WoL/Cloud/Tifa/Yuna account, and start saving for character-specific banners and 35CP weapons. I redeemed the NT code a kind fellow gave me in the Dissidia NT OT as well, so there's definitely no going back for me now!

I think if you're a Shadow lover, you'll just have to resign yourself in that Record Keeper is the only Gatcha Fantasy where he's fantastic.

After several rerolls I decided to complete the equipment tutorial, collect the pre register gems, do the half-gem pull and reroll from there if I didn't get what I wanted.
The best way I can think of is the daily cycle quests (the crystal ones)
Bring a low level character along with 2 strong ones and bring a friend summon (preferably mutual followers) then when it is the weak characters turn replace them with the friend unit

Level 1 characters go from 1 to 10 in the second crystal quest. You can do 10 of those daily. Worth it imo.
Ok great idea. It is definitely not as bad as some games sine we don't have stamina issues here. But a shortcut is great.
Only reason to save right now is if you'd rather have equipment for characters not currently in the gacha.
There's definitely something to be said for how many of the currently available characters are permanent powerhouses in the game so maybe you should spend all your stuff now but if your favorite character isn't in the game yet and you want to use them I'd save my gems.
This game seems very generous with gens. Im not through with chapter five or much of the hard mode and I've netted around 32,500. That's a lot of pulls considering the relic pool. I think I'll try to do the half price ones only and see where that takes me.
With the way the game is structured, if the future banners hold true to a few rate-up characters taking up a 90% guarantee per multipull (not even counting the lesser chance outside of the guaranteed 5*) I feel a decent long term pulling strategy going forward is holding out till a majority of the rate-ups are ranked high, then pulling till one of them has 4 dupes just for a painless max limit break.

I downloaded a Google Play emulator and will try to transfer over to iOS after I enter that code, and the website that tells you how to enter it doesn't actually tell you where to enter it.

You can enter it at literally any time. You put it in the play store itself.
If you have access to an android phone you can transfer your OO account to it and redeem the code or do the same thing with an android emulator and then transfer it back to iOS. Yeah, I know it's stupid to have an google play exclusive code for this -.-

I finished Chapter 5 and Chapter 1 (Hard). I have to say: the story's forgettable, but some of the dialogue's hilarious, like Zidane hitting on everyone but Ysh. The music's great, and the production values and polish - like, there's no lag? - are incredible. I see so much potential with raids.
Like I told the Discord crew: I've had about as much fun with this game in one day than I've had in nearly a year of Fire Emblem Heroes.

Depends, how much do you love Cloud?
But yeah, having a fully LB'd Organyx is great, as long as you don't mind leaning on one character for support until you manage weapons for your other members. I personally went for a variation of characters with my re-roll, but I can definitely see the appeal of LB'ing Cloud right from the start.
Trust me when I say, you're going to be getting more gems and pulling other weapons, then leveling those for your other members long before you even can even get one to weapon lv20+ to make use of the 2nd and onwards uncap on a 5*. The curve is brutal.
It's nice, but it's definitely a medium term thing before the advantage of having 4 of a weapon for MLB comes into play.

alright...just wanted to check...anyone have a decent (niceish) backup account they'd be willing to part with? My luck so far with re-rolling has been...dismal....like shadows, sazh, and edge dismal with very very few multis giving me more that the guaranteed 5* :/

Ah, guessing that's how it went in the Japanese version? So are these events limited-time quests with their own story where, as long as we go through them, we'll unlock the characters?
