That is pretty much what I'm doing as well. Also used the exp book for the first time.

Wol and cloud to 50 and rotating in third characters, have a chain going well with wol at 42 cloud 36 and bartz at 32, so can progress nicely.

I've pulled almost exclusively on the weekly banner and now have
Wol sword limit maxed
Bartz sword limit maxed
Cloud needs one more sword

Also have 10 4*s, limited character overlap
And 9 unique 4*armors

Wol cloud bartz terra I have both weapon and armor.

Then rest of gems and tickets netted me:
Rem
Terra
Vaan just now.

Summons focusing on
Sylph level 7
Ifrit Shiva 5
Odin chocobo 4
Ramuh 3

I just run sylph for healing. Not sure if that is ideal or not

Feeling good so far. Have 5*s for WoL, Bartz, Terra, Cloud, Decil, Zidane, Steiner, and a couple others. Might get rid of Steiners since it seems like he just generally sucks.

Running WoL, Decil, Cloud for now until I get Bartz.

Sitting on 50K+ gems and not sure if I should pull on current banners or just wait around for "better" ones, whenever those are.

Probably a dumb question, but is there any chance to drop 3*-5* gear from quests? Occasionally I'll get a 2* drop.

FYI you can stack the training books, using double items and double exp to power up via the daily missions and the event. Lots of exp even if you merely clear the level 50 daily missions. Getting double materials for upgrades is highly needed, need way to many of them for weapons.

Going to add myself to the doc! I have WoL and Cloud with 5* weapons as my mains and soon Laguna. I have more characters but those three I will be using.

YESSS! Good thing I've been saving. Going all in for the weapons on it. I assume Tifa is still on the banner which is disappointing since I really don't want her gear but hopefully my pulls are lucky enough to avoid them.

Wow, I humbly recommend to do the following:
Get around 3 Cycle Keys for the crystal dungeons
Buy around 3 Books of Treasure (Double item rewards)
Use them and go ham on your crystal dungeon of choice depending on your character.

With only those 3 combos I got Cloud to crystal strength 50!
(Doing the level 50 one, around 10 times net you 200 T3 crystals, more or less)
Best use of only 300 gems!, EDIT: (And 300 Dissidia Points).

Wonder if all weekly banners will get a half off roll to get people to pull on those. Squalls next week would be cool being half off .

here's a quote from reddit

For every 10 aggregate levels that your characters gain, you will gain 1 level. For example: if Cloud gain 3 levels, Yuna gains 2 levels and Vaan gains 5 levels, you will rank up by 1.

In case you didn't see my post yesterday, Squall takes purple crystals so make sure to hoard those and go ham when the purple crystal event is unlocked (I think tomorrow?). It's awesome that my boy is coming so soon when he still isn't in our FFBE and won't be for a while... Also, he's tied with Vaan and Terra for the highest score/rank on Altema right now (and they are a whole year ahead) so we know our boy will be top tier stud and in his rightful place in time :D

Thanks for heads up! I'm going to definitely start hoarding them for him so we can have Squall ready to go the moment he drops. I was so happy to see he ranks so high! Seifer isn't that bad either looking at his ranking and when Rinoa finally drops I hope she is top tier too. I need my favourite VIII trio. :P

We seriously need Squall in BE, though. We've waited so long and when he finally drops in Global here's hoping we pull him.

Oh yes, lets level the hell out of him asap and share him forever :p Well, I'll accept you sharing Rinoa when she hits hehe I too need her by my Squall's side and the thought of Seifer rounding the team out is funny, Rinoa going to pimp out with her ex and soul mate at the same time? On that note, it was freaking awesome seeing the disciplinary committee story mode :D Also the music while doing the quest to acquire Laguna! *swoon* I'm totally expecting Maybe I'm a Lion for the Squall event now, don't disappoint me....who develops this game for global? haha Then do Eyes on Me when Rinoa hits.

Seriously, going to make sure I get both Squall and Rinoa to 7* when they hit. Thank god there's a step up banner for it so you can guarantee to get one of them to 7* for 25k lapis and either have one of the other or get unlucky getting three of the same unit ha Hopefully will just need to luck into getting one of whichever unit we don't get two of through the step-up program.

Here's to saving up all for Squall. Do we have a day yet? Almost done with all the story, seriously if I don't get his weapon I might just reroll. Haven't spent any real money yet so that's one plus.

Which sword do we think is better for Cloud, the Buster Sword NT one or the one you can get from the gacha atm?

I have both. I imagine in the long run the gacha one will be better since you get dupes but what about without limit breaking?

Ogrenix is better since it gives a boost to both Cross-slash and the Paralysis debuff. The Buster sword just raises attack by 36.

Ah, right, yeah I did notice that the gacha sword boosted Cross-slash, didn't know what the NT one did.

Good job really. I'd started leveling Ogrenix already. :P

Oh wait you mean the Buster sword from the NT code. I'm not sure what that does actually. Maybe someone who has it can chime in. I thought you meant the regular Buster sword.
