I'm more surprised at the fact that there's an audience for this type of crap, but I guess if something exists, there'll be someone who wants it.
They also specify cup size and the boobs don't stop jiggling... really, really sad.
You really shouldn't be surprised that there's an audience for girls with big ass boobs with a thin veneer of gameplay

Japanese devs are just the only devs shameless enough to pander to said audience

Boobs are lovely, using high school girls who clearly look like children and making their boobs jiggle and sexualizing them is completely gross.
True but australia needs to ban a lot more japanese games then.

Hypersexualisation of underage girls who look extremely young is really common in japanese games.

Not saying its a good thing but people should decide themselves if they feel offended.

Weird smelling perverts shouldn't have a say on acquiring games about underaged anime tits.

I imagine their reasoning is less about "protecting people from being offended" and more about not allowing what they may consider as pedophiles to enjoy games that cater to their tastes.

what the fuck is wrong with you? can you really not see the issue with what they said?

of course. look at the other posts from them in the thread was more of a comment on that than the content of the "game".

about the game in question, whats the point of banning it in a particular region on a region free system?

the ratings board is inconsistent with which games get banned and which dont.

I remember years ago, hearing from an Australian acquaintance how crazy their ratings board was in regards to some of the things they wouldn't allow.

But, you know, after this I can say that sometimes it does good, lol

You raise a good point and I'm wondering how reception would be if they opted for a more mature looking art style.
Is there any examples of this in consoles at least ?

As much as I grow tired of anime tiddies in gaming, I can't approve of government censorship like this.

How bad is the content anyway?

What I don't get is how Sony allows this to be released on their system at all. It's a physical release so apparently it passed Sony's internal licensing policies? This stuff has gotten lot more lax in recent years compared to the past. Remember when MK had to change the blood color to come out on the SNES?

Why would they not allow it? It doesn't even have nudity and it has no more fanservice than something like Senran Kagura or Gal Gun. The Mortal Kombat thing was because of Nintendo being super family-friendly and not even allowing crosses or bars in games on their platforms. Sony has never required publishers to censor games.

And it sold like shit compared to the other system that let MK have blood.

And then the sequel SNES port was allowed to have blood and sold a gorillion copies.

This game looks tame as fuck.

I don't understand why they wouldn't allow it. We see worse shit in AAA releases. We're not even getting nipple action in this game.

MK didn't have to change its blood colour. It was a decision made by Nintendo to preserve their kid-friendly image.

The blood colour, like this game, wouldn't have actually broken any rules had it been released.

"Banned" doesn't seem like the correct term. More correct would be "not allowed to be released." I can't see people being arrested for importing copies of the game (though I also can't see the imports being cheap).

It's games like this that give anime a bad name. Good riddance, but why not just rate it Adult Only? It's the same thing as banning for the most part but still people could buy it if they want from adult websites without resorting to a foreign account.

This isn't an anime in first place. If anything, it gives games a bad name.

What was the creepy garbage in NGNL?
Don't want to derail the thread, but it was the little sister almost immediately and throughout the show. When they actually used her panties to get out of a certain situation it blasted right past creepy into shit that shouldn't exist category. She's like 10 years old.

Close. How about underage girls shouldn't be sexualized? Is that something we can all stand behind, at least?

I'm pretty sure it's the highschool girl part of this game rather than the boobs part that got it banned. I have no problem with that, sexualization of teenage girls shouldn't be encouraged.

Australian game censorship is pretty stringent.
It's completely inconsistent. They banned MeiQ (a game that got a T rating in America) because you could touch a fully-clothed static image of the female party members on one of the menu screens and have them react to it. The game was super-tame in general. Most people probably wouldn't even know it was possible since the game doesn't ever mention it.

This is one they probably RC'd expecting some sort of appeal.
There is no problem with sexualised imagery under the rules, games or not. Sexualised imagery of a minor is out though, in all material, movie, game, etc..
They may have argued that the characters were 18 years old but if you stick a sexualised 18 year old in something resembling a school uniform (and include gameplay where you interact with their breasts) then they decide to draw the line and force you to appeal and argue your case to be allowed a classification.
Stick them in bikinis and make them play volleyball and you're sweet.

It isn't banned by the platform holders or by the law to create such product in first place..
