The pro thread we have here indicates that it does downsample.
The Senate spamming is definitely getting a bit old. Ive had a ton of fun with the game but Im getting burned out on it. Ive unlocked all the weapon mods and now I feel like there isnt a whole lot to strive for. (I dont really care too much about the other challenges since they only unlock credits and not in-game changes/upgrades).
There seems to be some indication that there's a patch coming next week.

They claimed they'd be doing balance patches every 2 weeks but I guess they've already missed that mark unless my timing is off
I have no idea how some people say they enjoy playing HvV; did my 5 matches for the daily Hero Crate across 3 lobbies, every single match had an Emperor up with all Epic cards that completely shit all over the other team single handedly. What a garbage fucking mode.
Based on personal experience, there's a hell of a lot more leeway to beat Palpatine in HvV. He doesn't have the benefit of taking advantage of the bulletstorm shitshow in GA, but in HvV, if you got a combo of Rey, Finn, Han, and Chewie players, he can be taken care of.
Agreed, BUT that completely relies on you having at least one other competent person to assist. Like I had a couple of matches where I was Chewbacca but the Senate was VERY skilled, and even as Chewbacca it can be very difficult to get him down so I had lots of times where I'd get the Senate one or two hits from death and he'd bail or get me and my team was just zero fucking help.
Also worth noting that HvV seems significantly more prone to premade groups, I was on teams mostly getting hilariously shit on and it wouldn't budge teams. I had one lobby where I was 1st place on my team going literally 2-20 (this is a thing that actually happened) and getting outscored by 4th place the winning team by over 15k points and the teams didn't change. So yeah.
Edit: Also helping my friend get the daily challenge done right now, and we're against a premade team of 4 who all play the same character every time with all Epic cards and are just unstoppable gods. They were killing us so badly and so fast that the game was spawning us all over the map and never near each other so they just one by one kill us because it was constantly 3-4 versus 1. Fucking insane. Like I can't even hate on them for doing it, but this shit is broken.

IIRC it was a developer last Saturday or Sunday saying that they were working on stuff and were hoping to share news about it with us this past week sooo

Yeah I can't with this, I'm done outside of maybe finishing up my Starfighter Milestones until the Emperor is nerfed into non-existence. 4 rounds of GA across 2 lobbies, 4 rounds of an all Epic Emperor 100% literally carrying a team to victory regardless of anything else. Two matches were matches where the Emperor didn't spawn until his team was into single digit tickets about to lose on the first phase, and he dragged them all the way to victory winning the last phase. This is beyond fucking broken. I'm done. Back to BF2015 I go.
Played a couple of matches of BF2015 and totally shit on people, still can get top of the board no problems here lol. Other than being cathartic, that at least makes me feel better about not having issues with BF2 just because I'm terrible at it or something. I also recognize like 30% of the names in this lobby which is ridiculous.

There is nothing that can bring me back to BF2015. The aforementioned pickup system is BF1 in a nutshell.
Yes there are more modes, but that's the only point where i can say BF1 is better.
Even with this shitbag of a Palp and some onesided matches i take BF2 over BF1 everyday.

I just enjoy having prequel and sequel content too much to go back. It feels current and comprehensive for SW in a way that BF2015 didn't.
Didn't say worse, but certainly equally annoying.
Wookiees have no place in a mode like Blast if you ask me. Keep it normal infantry only.

I really hope the next patch is a substantial balance update.

Well in held out as long as I could but i'm Done with this game until The devs can fix any of the myriad of problems this game has. And i'm Talking fixes that actually fix things. I jumped back on last night because I read they fixed the reward unlocking and that matches now would properly rebalance teams in between rounds or games.....
Still sitting on 7 rewards I can't claim, jump into GA, put into a match that our team is getting stomped on in first phase. We lose after phase one, check scoreboard. I lead team with 11 kills, no one else in double digits, meanwhile their top 3 players all over 35 kills, their top player is using the senate (surprise surprise) and had over 50 kills IN PHASE ONE.
We got dominated on defense the next round and sure enough, my team was pathetically unbalanced compared to those we played against.
I decide to stick it out for the next match to see how it goes once the teams are rebalanced....... teams did not shuffle AT ALL.
Three minutes in and half my team has dropped out because of how bad we are getting stomped again.

Yeah according to Reddit they actually turned off the team shuffle shortly after they patched it in lol
Played some HvV tonight. There was a Palpy player just spin dash running away around the outskirts of the level. He got a little too close to the edge of the map while I was chasing him (for what felt like forever) and I was able to keep him pushed out of bounds with Luke's Force abilities. It was cheesy move vs. cheesy move but it felt good to finally get him.
They simply left a small team to deal with dlc and patches, like DICE always does with every game they make. Most of the Battlefront team is probably working on Battlefront 3 right now. So don't expect anything to come fast or for the extra content to be anything substantial. The fact that they still haven't even been able to cook up a small patch nerfing/fixing the most broken stuff like the Emperor or Leias secondary is very telling.
I'm taking a break from the game till they release a new content I guess. I've loved most of my time with the game, and already have gotten more than enough worth out of my $80.

About the only thing I've played for the last few weeks is Starfighter assault. Still so fun!
EA has already said outright in their financials that Battlefront 3 isn't a thing or plan for them at this point, and next FY's Star Wars game is going to be the Respawn game.
I downloaded Fortnite to check that out. I can't even bring myself to play 3 Blast games for the easy 1k credits. I'm suuuuuuper close to finishing all of the Milestones outside of Tallie's Savior kill one (I had no idea that was going to be an issue) so I still want to mop those up but that's mostly for OCD purposes.
Every time I see a cool new Tie variant or vehicle pop up in a spin-off film, I think about how desperately we need the sequel trilogy to give us new, less familiar ships, if only for the sake of variety within Battlefront.

For what it's worth EA is talking a good game about continuing to support BF2 for a long time, but we'll see what happens?
