So the way I understood Kurapika and the bodyguards' conversation about the feather Nen is that it's likely to be Harkenburg's Nen beast, which is a manipulator type. Apart from placing a feather mark on people who follow Harkenburg's belief of withdrawing from the war along with his younger siblings, we don't know if it was Harkenburg's intention to place the mark or the Nen beast's or what exactly the ability is. I think it's more likely that it's the Nen beast's way of marking anyone associated with the prince who is unfaithful to the succession ceremony. Looking back the only two rules that Nen beasts follow are: 1. They can't fight or kill each other and 2. they can't attack the host of another Nen beast. While protecting its host is a high priority of the beasts, it's assumed by Kurapika that protection may not be the highest priority and it is not one of the 2 ingrained rules. One thing I think that may be of higher priority is ensuring that the succession ceremony continues. Based on another speculation Kurapika made last chapter, if a prince withdraws from the ceremony then all Nen beasts disappear, if Harkenburg's Nen beast continues to sense the prince's intention it may choose to eliminate him. I think this for two reasons, why protect a prince who shows no interest in becoming king and why would a beast allow their host to live if they threaten every Nen beasts' existence as well as their sole purpose?
Sorry for being long-winded but I just felt like writing out some of what I was thinking.
They just aren't ready. All their meticulous preparations will no doubt fail. This shit has doomed expedition written all over it.
I really can't wait to see the DC. It's like a darker, more horrifying Gourmet World lol.
Hard to say. Dodgeball was perfect for Razor's powers, as it was for Gon. I'm not necessarily saying she's stronger than guys like Feitan and Phinks, but she's at least equal.
Razor's probably "stronger" in terms of power but Bisky could win it, with her experience and mastery of Nen. Although I'm a huge Bisky fan, so I'm obviously biased :P
So she pretty much is Kenshiro then, where only a handful of people could actually give her a worthy fight? Shit.According to Togashi databook Bisky is stronger than Chrollo, Hisoka and Razor. Only Netero and the ants were higher.

Zepile had an unconscious ability to use Nen, Zushi had just started learning about it and couldn't be trusted to use it.
We're too used to seeing freakish prodigies. It's probably gonna take Zushi years to hone his Nen, and ain't nothing wrong with that. Probably exactly what Wing wants too.I'm just salty that we left Zushi training his aura, next time him months later he's still training his aura and he's a 1?
<--- Zushi fan.

It actually would be cool if they do a timeskip and Zushi is some beastly Floormaster now. Show that hard work actually pays off lol.
He might not have a specific ability yet, Zepile likely did (even if it was useless for combat).Right, except this goes up until the Chimera Ant arc. We saw even during that arc that Zushi was still with Wing, training hard. So after a year or however long it's been since Heaven's Arena, he's still this low? I just find it a hard pill to swallow. Zushi's an incredible talent too.
I think Zushi needs another few years before he gets to where Gon and Killua are, let alone be competent enough to go on a rescue mission to the DC.That's the thing. I got the sense that Zushi had been training non-stop since Heaven's Arena, especially since he made it clear he'd catch up to Gon and Killua. He's also an incredible talent, Wing doesn't sugarcoat things, it's just that Gon and Killua are outliers as far as potential goes.
If a rescue task force is formed [assuming everything goes to shit in DC] I hope Zushi and Wing go. Would be cool.
Well, that was before Chrollo got a huge upgrade and can use four powers simultaneously.
I've never taken that chart too seriously, it's full of questionable things. Like how Zushi is overall below this guy
I understand Zepile is ahead because of his knowledge, but for most of Zushi to be 1?

The King is not on the list because his strength is beyond measure?

If the strongest people in the world fail at DC what is Zushi even gonna do there?
There's not gonna be a rescue party because they are not failing, sure a lot of people are going to die but they will be back with something.
Hilariously, the best Nen may not even be on the boat, we know Ging is in the top 5, but he's unlikely no1 otherwise Bisky would of just said he's no1 and not just in the top 5. Same for Beyond, Pariston, having the title as no1 in the world is a big thing, and nothing like that has been said for them.
I still think Netero was nº1, he did say that was weak and had lost half the strengh since he was in his prime but that means nothing if the original gap was very big, even weaker he may still be the strongest. Not to mention that he also said that he was at Knov and Morel level now, lol so he was not speaking very seriously.
Also him looking at the King as the ultimate power that can force him to fight at his fullest implies that he never found a opponent stronger than him, more implication that he still was the number 1.
Perhaps. From what I understood though the top 5 was more from an aura/overall Nen standpoint and not so much who'd win in a fight. Could be wrong on that though.
If he lives long enough I'm wondering what other ninja nen abilities we'll see from Hanzo. Will he switch places with a log to make an escape?
I want to see a Nen enhanced Izuna Drop lol.If he lives long enough I'm wondering what other ninja nen abilities we'll see from Hanzo. Will he switch places with a log to make an escape?
I'm going to die in my fucking office chair if he busts out a fucking Rasengan. If he lives long enough I'm wondering what other ninja nen abilities we'll see from Hanzo. Will he switch places with a log to make an escape?
Also what was the party prince, the fat one who has the giant ball with mouths for a Nen beast, talking about when he says he's going to introduce something that will change the world?
I assume she must be a serious Nen user or something. She seems way too confident otherwise.
He teased in a previous chapter how he was preparing something big in the next banquet. But we don't know what it is.
We don't know enough about the Princes or the Nen beasts to really say either way. The Nen beasts could use their host's natural affinity to a Nen type or on the other hand, since they're parasites and not part of their host, they can have their own specialization.
Hmm, I don't know how that works, now that I think about. Nen Beasts are probably a combination of Nen types, right? Goreinu's beasts in Greed Island were made with Emission+Manipulation, and he himself was a Manipulator. But I think these special Spirit Beasts might indeed be influenced by the Prince's Nen category, since they seem to be so closely linked.
I've only read the post-anime arcs, but is the entire serie this text heavy ?
I honestly find it pretty boring to follow right now, even if the main story concept is cool.
I think this would be more enjoyable as a reread in it's entirety personally. I like it, but the week to week tension is a drain, pretty much I'm pretty sure dealing with the Chimera Ant Arc on release would be exactly like this, yet experienced as a whole with actual pacing it's my favorite one.I've only read the post-anime arcs, but is the entire serie this text heavy ?

Melody going Jethro Tull on his ass with that flute and Leorio screaming at him should probably fix him...I hope.Kurapika needs a reminder that there's people in the world that still care about him and want him around. Melody and Leorio might need to have an intervention at some point to remind him of that.
