Just think of it as Haste in the Final Fantasy games, it basically makes it so your turn comes up more often, allowing you more means to attack before the enemy.

I think it's how fast you get to go again. A move with regular turn rate means that everyone else gets their turn after yours, but a higher turn rate move let's you get your second turn faster. Hold down a move that increases turn rate and you'll see how the turn order is affected.
What does the blue "S" mean on weapons and gear? I have it on a sword and piece of armor but neither are currently equipped on anyone. I'm stumped.
It's the equipment you have set on your support/friend unit that you are sharing with others
Any good ways to farm gold outside of weekly gold thingie? I want to get my weapons leveled up, but even though I know the method, I don't really have gil for it

I adore Type-0 and it is one of my favorites Final Fantasies . HOWEVER, I know that I am in an extremely minority, so the chances that you don't like it are probably rather high.
I liked the game for different reasons. One aspect I really liked about it was the battle system. Every character plays differently and has a big set of different skills. I had quite fun with it. It is one of the games where you can beat a high-level monster with low-level characters if you understand the mechanics well.
Also the story was for me very fascinating and quite unique (but not without flaws). However (again), if you play through the game only normal and watch the cutscenes, you will only witness the basic and main points of the story and it can get a bit confussing. If you want to get out everything from the story, I suggest heavily to talk with NPCs, read data entries and completing side quests.
On-Topic: how do I increase the *-level of 2* or 3* weapons? Just limit breaking it 3 times and then lvl up it completely?
Is there a limit to gems you can get from multiplayer? I think it's called a First Meet Bonus. I seem to get 400 gems every time I play. Not complaining, just trying to understand how it works.
You get that bonus 20 times when you play with new people.
It's to encourage not to play with the same two friends on every quest, though I don't think that's been an issue.
When do dailies in this game refersh, btw? If you can answer in " x hours from now" that would be extra great and I will give you extra thank you.

It's lead me to rediscover my copy of Dissidia 012: Duodecim, and remember that it's my favorite game of all time, so Yeah!? So many fun games to go back too, especially when my biggest surprise comes eventually, Yuri and Chelinka, From CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: RING OF FATES!? oh god, when they go all in, it melts my heart...
Story Characterization of the Class Zero isn't super hot, though I hadn't gotten too far in my playthrough, so i'm not too sure... Gameplay Characterization, however, is freaking awesome! in fact, it was kinda rad to see King in this, since he was my main guy when I was playing Type-Zero! He's like a John Woo character in that game! I'd honestly recommend it for the gameplay, all the characters are interesting to play, and quite varied, and there are usually pretty interesting combat scenarios to go through!

So I got a relatively good reroll a week ago, and I've got my mvp's Van, Cecil and WoL, in the house! however, I've been itching to get Squall's Twin Lance from the event, with little success. having spent all my gems thus far, and having a bunch more to go to gain through current content, I'd like to ask:
is Squall's weapon worth rerolling a week-old account for, in addition to gaining Y'shtola, Vaan, basically most of the Future-Proof fighters? or am I just Going Crazy and considering a nuclear option for no reason?

Nope, but you can claim it on the playstore and then transfer back to ios :)
You need to transfer your save to an android device, redeem the code on the Play Store, then transfer back to your iOS device (I used my wife's Samsung Galaxy).
So, to answer your question, no.
Don't do it man, new weapons will arrive in the future that'll be much better than what we got now. Better to keep all your crystals + gil + progress and save gems until then.

Definitely not. Even without this weapon, you will still be able to complete all content and play with all of the characters. You talk about "future proof", and while I understand your concerns in general, it's not going to be that cutthroat, meaning that you won't be significantly handicapped if you don't have a particular weapon.
From what I heard Y'shtola gets completely overshadowed by Yuna who does nearly the same things but infinitely better, so I wouldn't count her as future proof.
Yeah, it's honestly just luck-jitters, you think "oh, you're favorite characters are unusable if you don't get this now," but that's just 'cause everything is new and you want a good head start. I really appreciate the responses! I'll try to make my Vaan/Cecil as helpful as possible for you guys!

XP fodder. What you do is you feed low tier gems and other weapons to 2* weapons (without limit breaking them, important) till they are level 5. And then use those weapons as XP fodder.
3* weapons can be reasonbly just used directly.
Squall at 50! That's three characters max level now.
I've always wished VIII had four party members in battle. I've always dreamed of using Seifer, Rinoa, Squall and Raijin in a party. Mix it up a little with Zell, Edea, Quistis and Fujin too. VIII remake maybe this will happen lol love Squall but if they actually decide to do one he better look exactly like his original appearance and not Dissidia. I can tolerate it in this game because he's adorable but not as a full fledged character.
I was prepping quite a bit for Squall which is why I had him maxed so fast and like you say, my love of VIII of course doesn't help. :P I'm hoping my Squall can be useful for events since he is amazing at breaking high amounts of bravery.

Got my Zidane's dagger to 6*, I love the purple aura that the character gets when it is equipped
Remembered that I hadn't completed all the achievements for the Squall event that gives you armour exp items, finished them and managed to complete Zidane's armour too!

I got lucky pulling a lot of dupes! Most of the Zidane daggers I got were out of the 3 pulls trying to get Squall's weapon, and I had 3 Survival Vests from my initial pulls when I started the game, and got one using the draw tickets.
And because I spent all of my weapon/armour exp items and trash items on Zidane most of the other characters have very low level equipment in comparison :P
He hits like a truck, he breaks the highest level Gaia Behemoth in one Stellar Circle 5 (granted he also gets a boost in that event though)

Yeah, I bet he hits hard. It also helps that he's (currently) among the SS tier in Japan, just need to wait for those buffs + 35CP weapon. Even without them, he's a very solid character, especially since you have him as geared out as he is. Nicely done.

Fuse them. You could keep them if you're short on other weapons for that particular class, but even then I'd recommend making whatever it is that you have duplicates of stronger for the character it does match.

Nice! I'm used to seeing people use Quistis or Selphie over Zell usually. Yeah, I've wished every turn-based JRPG with a three-member line-up was four. Three always felt a little off without even taking characters I enjoyed into consideration. Oddly enough I've never thought about who my fourth would be in this scenario let alone being able to use the villains like you dreamed up. Considering I use Irvine whenever Rinoa is out of the party, probably him but it'd be fun trying out a blue magic run with Quistis. I probably should have mixed my runs up more than I have haha Not to say I haven't played around a bit with all of them and the couple complete runs had me collect all Quistis' blue magic spells and test them out anyway. It would be cool to have had the chance to use Seifer and Edea more and neat to pair Squall up with his dad. An VIII remake has been my largest gaming dream and desire for over a decade. I always told myself that a VII remake would have to happen first as it was the most realistic entry to get one based on popularity but now that this box is being checked, I dare go from dream to hope that an VIII remake will come one day. I just hope the VII experience doesn't prove so daunting that it turns them off from doing more. I'm hoping it sells gang busters as expected so that they are overly tempted to give the other popular entries the treatment. Although VIII comes off as the most polarizing and perhaps most hated after XIII by a portion of the community, it's also one of the most popular at the same time. It was one of the top-selling entries and hopefully, this would be the one they do next but it's going to be quite a while before we even have all of VII. It'd be awesome to do IX after VIII and I'd bite on one for VI as well.
Well done! Crazy how quick you got him maxed out! I'm going to need the next crystal daily event to get mine up the last level, I think the crystal challenges grant a nice amount of experience. Not sure how you snagged so many purple crystals but I'm jealous hehe I'm sorely low on the smallest type of purples in particular. Looking like I'll definitely need the purple event to come back around to get it to the final 5 levels. What level do you have his weapon and belt at? I have the gunblade at 21 and the belt at 22 though I could get them higher if I was willing to blow a bunch of gil to use lower xp resources like the 3* orbs. I'm just going to be patient and collect 4*s from the World of Illusions. Squall is a beast and yours is pimped out so you better believe he'll be useful to everybody! Mine will get there soon, soon.

I'm with you on that one, it was bad enough that FF4 DS came out amazing after FF3 DS, and the team behind them wasn't put to work re-making 5 and eventually 6, I''m super hopeful that, even with development foibles, FFVII remake paves the way to VIII!

A FFVI DS (in the style of III and IV DS) didn't happen because of hardware restrictions of DS. It's a much bigger and more detailed & complex game than III and IV. They just didn't think DS could handle it.
ah, that makes sense. I guess, after all the time between then and now, it's likely the team might not be allowed to work on something like that on newer hardware now, since they hadn't been allowed to keep up momentum with other projects, but that's purely conjecture, I just hope they get another shot in some way.
I really should dig up my old 3DS Lite and play FFIII as it's the only mainline aside from II that I've never played. After being exposed to a few characters from it in FFBE, it could be neat seeing them in their own game. I just hate chibi themes ha It'd actually be great remaking all of the older FF entries and the first handful are small and simple enough that it'd be a FAR simpler task than what they are doing with VII.
Well seeing how much they are changing VII's battle system I wonder what they would do with VIII's. Considering the number one reason people that hate on the game dislike it is the draw system, I wouldn't be surprised if they scrapped it. I personally find the junctioning system interesting, I can't think of another game where you can assign magic to stats to bolster them. With online gaming, a SeeD mercenary mode would have a lot of potential though! I feel you there. Triple Triad is truly the GOAT mini-game. It's so damn good that I would pay retail price for it as it's own game so long as I could play others online. I wish Square would make an app solely dedicated to it, it's a pain going into the portal app and worse, an energy system is a terrible idea for it. Just charge me money to have no energy limit! I meant to try playing the heck out of it in FFXIV but I ended up canceling my subscription before I did. The summons were so epic in FF XV, that was one thing they really got right and just imagine what the GFs would be like? Beautifully rendered Eden summon taking minutes to attack while we destroy our PS5 pads boosting it. I wonder what they'd do with the epic part during the battle between Gardens? Having that FMV in the background as you hang in the sky blew me out of my seat. God just discussing the possibilities is so damn exciting. I pray to the FF gods that this game is remade on the PS5. Speaking of which, doesn't seem likely the other two portions of FFVII will make the PS4 at this rate. Dang, I'd totally read through all them mags.

I seriously just love how easy going this game is. I'm so burnt out from stamina based games where they make you feel like you need to spend every moment playing so as not to waste energy. I still play BE and RK but those games are constant grinds that never end. My focus is still BE to prepare for VIII event in the future. I'm assuming we will see that in July or August
I'm excited to see how they plan to release events and chapters for us. They seem to be going at a great pace and hopefully it stays that way

My Squall's weapon and belt are maxed out at 35 and 25! I wish we could LB the belt but I guess that will only happen when item LB is released. Your Squall is already great and will be even greater when you're finally able to max him. I can't believe how good he is for BRV damage.
Yeah VIII is extremely popular but receives a lot of vocal hate. I feel like over the years, much like IX, It's started to gain attention in a positive way which is always nice to see.

The quickest way I was able to max him was to finish most of the hard quests containing purple crystals(just specifically complete those ones) before the event released, play Co-Op which gives around 20 crystals per run and then finally when purple crystal event releases I used the Relic Of All Knowledge item from the item shop(250 gems) to increase exp, item drops and gil amount. It boosts everything quite a bit and makes crystal farming really fast! If you haven't completed Hard Mode stuff yet it really is one of the best areas to collect items.

My biggest reason for Seifer(other than the fact he is one of my favourite characters) is that he is ultimately a good character that is manipulated into fighting on the wrong side and continuing down that road until he thinks he can no longer back out. I would have loved to see him join the rest of the cast at the end to have a redemption arc that makes the ending even more powerful.

3* weapons are useless since they don't provide Affinity Abilities, use them to enhance 4*- 5* weapons.
