Keep the thread on the topic of sales. Capcom's decision to put Monster Hunter World on its chosen platforms paid off. However, MHW's success does not preclude the series also being on Nintendo platforms. Subsequent posts regarding Monster Hunter/Capcom and the platforms it "abandoned"-- arguing for either side-- will be subject to moderator action.

Switch software sales are unbelievable. 12 games in Top 20.

Even MH is rising thanks to positive spillover effects from MHW. XenoVerse 2 reappearing and Xenoblade 2 still charting.

On the other hand, MH aside, PS4 software sales are abysmal for a mature console.

Well that is a better hold for MHW than anyone was expecting. Not a single prediction on YSO was over 250k, let alone 300.

Hopefully the PS4 keeps this momentum with the release of SotC and the continuing sales of MHW, though I think that was a very steep drop.

Good second week for MHW and it shows on PS4's HW. Stocks were truly missing for the FW, digital sales must be pretty high too.

Mario + Rabbids MURDERS dat 100k bar! 18% drop is really good, legs will be strong for this game. Will be interesting to see if it can reach 500k.

Xenoblade 2 is back! over 181k atm, 200k bar is approaching!

Great hold for MHW, quality beeing rewarded pleases me

But damn, daaammnnn at switch software sales.

We have no less than 10 evergreen titles for it right now with Mario + Rabbids beeing the newest addition to the evergreen family (that hold is nuts)

MHW and PS4 continue to defy expectations. Switch supply seems to be steady, maybe we'll see bigger numbers in March.

I expected more than 100k for Dragon Ball FighterZ. Still great numbers for the game.

The thirst for MHW was real. Great sales for the second week. I wonder if it's out of stock again.

BOTW with a big jump this week, any particular reason for that?

Skyrim debut is a sliver lower than I expect, but not that bad. It'll probably leg its way quite a bit. 100k is doubtful atm, though.

Switch software is showing DS-like legs. 3DS games weren't as leggy outside maybe Kart, Land and 3G.

Mario + Rabbids has 250k on lock.

ARMS is on its way to 400k retail. It means that it won't be that far from 500k when it's all said and done.

Solid hold for PS4 and MHW. Rabbids hanging in there too.

DBFZ and Skyrim are a bit lower than I expected.

Good opening for DBFZ. PS4 HW dropping naturally with MH, will be more interesting after a few weeks.
Also lol that hold for Splatoon 2.

MH is a freaking beast.
But the SW software domination is quite impressive as well - especially considering the PS4 hardware sales.

Edit:

A bit sad to see what happened to Dissidia...the series was quite big during the PSP days. Welp.

What a legend.

Switch SW continues to impress, HW continues to disppoint. And with reports about stocks catching up to demand (from Nintendo even) dare I say, worrying? At the very least Switch isn't the center of attention right now.

MHW with a nice 2nd week, especially nice for PS4 hardware, which I didn't think would clear 100k

Great results on the whole but seems like quite a low result for Skyrim Switch edition? Anyone know how well that is tracking in terms of global sales?
