I LOVE Gary. He is so insightful and brings a completely different perspective than anything I would ever think about. Definitely disagree with him often but he makes incredibly good points.
I've also enjoyed seeing Andy on the show. Dude is way too funny. I want another Kevin x Andy morning show so bad.

If ya'll haven't seen it, the KF interview with Tim and Brian Altano is inspiring, nostalgic, and a great watch.
Yeah it is also if you happen to support at $10 level the pre and post show are fairly lenghty and the post show is like a mini 1 topic GOG well worth the dollars IMO, actually need to watch the main episode as forgot about the live recording so just about managed to watch the pre show and post show which was well worth it.
Nope, I just skip past them or don't care enough. It's two ad reads per show usually. Dunno how else they're supposed to do them, they need the money to keep making content. Would you want them back at the beginning of the shows? I think most people get sick of them cause it's the same ad reads for like two weeks straight and they can only adlib so much to punch them up a bit.
I skip the ones in kfgd too. But it's like all over social all the time. It's really frustrating to constantly have ads blasted at you even after being a Patreon. Even the fun stuff like la croix, disney emoji, and the Gatorade stuff that aren't really ads are basically ads. It's exhausting.
They're a business paying seven full-time employees plus Andrea and Gary in the most expensive city in the world. Ads are necessary.
Just caught up on this and Mackey clarifies that in total he made about 20 something jokes about colin, the rest were responses to people on twitter about those jokes. Even then, he questions the legitimacy of that number because they were conducted by one of colin's paid trolls. Sounds like he was just tired of the industry putting up with the bullshit and decided to not let him have a free pass of saying stupid shit on the internet.
Listening to Marvel Reviews just got through 4, and ranking Thor and Loki as the worst is a travshamockery.
They're actually making me wanna go back and re-watch Thor. I remember it as a pretty decent film, so I'm not sure.
I'm watching along with them and it's been pretty fun. I've only seen Iron Man 3, Thor 2, and Guardians 1 once each, so it'll be cool to watch them again after all these years.
LOL, Greg said to look out for the Wall Street Journal today during Andy's Twitch stream last night while they were playing Monster Hunter. I thought he was just messing around doing a bit.
Decided to re-up my Patreon sub yesterday. Realized just how much I appreciate having the KFGD podcast to listen to everyday after work, and just the general content they produce across the board now. It was certainly a rocky year, but I honestly think Kinda Funny is in the best place they've been since launch.
I think hiring Andy is probably one of the best things they've ever done. He was a serious shot in the arm for them. His contributions (on screen and off) have been incredible.
Couldn't agree more. Andy is absolutely fantastic and his work is hilarious. I love his style of humor, fits right in with the rest of them. I think the entire KF crew is insanely strong that being said. They all mesh so well. Cool Greg, Andrea, Gary, Joey, (And Danny let his sweet Irish soul rest in peace) were also great additions. I love the way KF has shaped up in the past year, couldn't be more entertained.
I've unfortunately been unable to keep up with the content too much the last few weeks (got accepted to Grad school the other day though - so that's a plus!), but I'm incredibly excited for the PSVR show to launch Thursday. I'm planning on getting a PSVR sometime this summer and this show is coming at the perfect time.
Yeah, I only listen to KFGD and watch Party Mode. Andy's presence has really invigorated the crew.
They were talking about that Pickup Artist game that came out.
It's around the 43-minute mark. They talk about an upcoming game called, "Super Seducer", where it teaches you how to talk to women/the art of seduction. It has some graphic sentences and pickup lines. Gary remembers a book that's similar to this, "The Game", and just shoots it down.
I've read that book and it's really sleazy. So, yeah, fuck that shit.

I think all of these movies are fun btw.
Captain America and Hulk was hard to rank but I really didn't care for Red Skull much and don't get why he's so liked. I do really like Captain America's origin and just him generally getting that W.
The Iron Mans are hard to me to rank too. The first one is probably "the best" one but I had more fun with the others.

I kinda feel like I'm losing my connection and interest with their games coverage. Not to say it's bad or anything. In fact, it's better than it's ever been to be perfectly honest. It's just it feels like my gaming interests are not even remotely the same as theirs anymore. Back in the early days of Kinda Funny and back when Beyond was a thing Greg and Colin were so locked into PlayStation and single player experiences, which is what my main interests are. Nowadays though it seems like everybody at Kinda Funny (except for Tim) is just hooked on "games as a service" for lack of a better term. It's all they ever talk about now, and while these discussions can be engaging at times even for somebody like me with no interest in what they're discussing, it does get a little tedious. They end up discussing these games for weeks on end over Games Daily and Gamescast, whereas new AAA single player experiences get 5 minutes in the sun and then are tossed to the side.
It's cool that Greg and Big Kev Dog get to have these fun experiences of playing all sorts of games online together, but I miss when they'd go into the same amount of depth for a singleplayer game.
When they do stray from their GaaS discussion it's almost always to talk about Nintendo. I get that the Switch is selling extremely well and I do have a soft spot for Nintendo, but they end up talking about the same things over and over again. How many times do we have to hear them discuss how they wish every game was on Switch and how there are too many games on the eShop. The eShop take is particularly annoying and always has been, even when Colin was saying the same thing about PSN. It's such a non-issue.
I realise most of these aren't even negatives about the product they put out, but it's just a little heartbreaking to see. Here's hoping the new host will solve this (if it turns out to be Jared Petty it will literally solve all my problems lmao).
Also, unlike almost everyone in this thread, I love Andrea but can't stand Gary. He's always rubbed me the wrong way when it comes to gaming and he goes on boring rants way too much. He states his opinion as fact way more than Andre imo.
