Golf Story and Rocket League are both great. Golf Story is perfect for Switch and Rocket League runs pretty good on Switch and it gets regular updates with the other platforms plus you should be able to play with PC and Xbox players.

No EU deals?
Man, I want to buy Rocket League, but I don't know if I should buy the physical edition which is €40 or grab it on the eShop for less than half with a deal. I know the physical version has DLC, but are they worth it?

I wonder if Nintendo will ever consider putting some of these games on sale for 40-50%off. Back to Skyrim I go.

golf story is a steal at $15. no BS. One of the most fun games I played last year. ANY sale on it makes it a no brainer.

How's Rocket League on Switch? My daughter loves it on Xbox, might double dip for the portability.

I wish I hadn't bought Golf Story to be honest. The disc golf controls are horrible and you must do that content to advance in the story mode it seems. I've hit a wall on this content and have no desire to continue. The game was decent until those points.

I feel like this come up in every eShop thread, but Nintendo doesn't set the prices and sales for 3rd-party games. There's nothing preventing a developper from putting its eShop game at 99% off.

It's my favorite version of the game and I own it on Xbox and PS4 and steam.

It plays perfectly, and the ability to play it undocked is amazing.

Even when docked I prefer playing it on Switch because that's where all my current matchmaking stats are from all my handheld play. So the fact that the switch resumes from sleep instantly makes it easier and more sensible to play there even though the other consoles render at better quality.

Hnnnnnnnng.

I'd buy Golf Story right away if I didn't have that preconceived idea that it will get a physical release at some point. -_-

I am well aware that Nintendo does not set discounts but presumably they submit a set of discount guidelines. Otherwise, it would be odd as to why these games see greater sales on other consoles. Anyhow, I digress.

I told a coworker I'd wait for a sale on Rockey League before buying it to play over lunch. I guess the time is now.

It will but it will 200% the price of this and might be a LRG print so that would be a bust.

The disc golf controls basically only allow you to direct the disc to the left or the right from the perspective of the disc. So if it's heading east you push right to make it turn south. If you want it to go straight you don't touch anything. It's a little challenging to get used to at first but it is doable.

Guidelines are not binding merely suggestive. Although you are probably right that other consoles might need steep discounts to sell since consumers are conditioned to expect larger discounts.

In for Golf Story!

How jackbox 4? It didn't seem as great as the other games in the series. Looked like it was geared towards streamers

Everyday, probably not. Every month, sure. Some weeks are fairly barren compared to others.

A lot of these games came out way earlier on other platforms, so they see greater discounts. It probably wouldn't be a smart move to go straight to a 75% discount soon after launch because it's been out for two or three years elsewhere.

No EU deals?

I just cover US deals since that's where I'm at. That doesn't mean there's nothing elsewhere.

I am not suggesting 75% off but 33-50% is not unreasonable. SnakePass hit 50% rather quickly and that is a game that sold pretty well. Similar with Wonder Boy.
