Please take pictures of it if you can! I have a feeling this will end up being on of the rarest European retail games, along with some of the most recent Aksys releases.

I really wish they'd release Zero Time Dilemma too while they were at it, even if would just be a low print run.
Here you go!

So happy this arrived. Its got "rare" tattooed all over it I think. Can't imagine it getting a large print run or being all that easy to track down in the future. Glad I got mine while I did.

Wow. It actually exists. Where did you get it? Base? Or that Bazaar site that Aksys have been pretty much exclusively been distributing their European releases through ever since they started to release games physically here?

It seems that Sekai Project genuinely didn't know that multiple accounts was a pain on Vita, so it never occurred to them that it would be an issue.

Are the Sekai Project floodgates about to open??

I actually don't know anything about Root Double other than it's a VN on Vita and I'm getting it.

I'm sure we will. By 2020.

Better late than never! Amirite?

For real though, I hope you guys get it sooner rather than later. This is something many have been waiting for, and that's not heavily restricted by continent as far as I'm concerned.

Would partnering up with Pqube speed up the release in Europe? Either way, I hope the situation doesn't become even more of a mess before it sorts itself out.

We have three visual novels in March (Root Double, Hakuoki Edo Blossoms and Code Realize), that's insane. I'll be playing these games with a huge smile, just the kind of support I love.

Considering this one already existed and just needed the translation inserting, I doubt it lol.

It's progress but I wouldn't get my hopes up yet.

:)

Is Code Realize really March? Crikey, I'm so behind on my otome

According to Reviews 2 Go's review it's full of spelling errors and typs :(

I'm suddenly reminded of another fighter by the name of Chaos Code, back when it first released/localized on PS3 for the west. I don't remember the PS3 vanilla version of Under Night being plagued with these issues, unless I'm wrong about that.

No, but they've added a whole new visual novel style story mode in this version.

Is the new UNIB port a good one? Does it have ASW's trademark horrible loading times that plague all of their Vita ports?

Disappointing they're not bringing the Vita version. Might pick it up on Switch once it gets cheaper.

The game came out two years ago in Japan. NISA could've released it a long time ago if they wanted.

i wonder if they were gonna release it atleast digitally but after the backlash of the other 2 games they just decided not to bother

i'll probably still get it on PS4 but make an effort to buy it used, but i hope in the future NISA doesn't forget its roots of publishing on PlayStation instead of publishing on an overpriced tablet exclusively

Now I'm wondering who's bringing Metal Max Xeno. If it's NISA, then we are screwed.
I don't think you have to worry, as they will have contractual obligations to Kadokawa. Hence why we are getting Lost Child on Vita but not Coven. NISA themselves are clearly done with Vita, but they don't have full control over titles from other publishers like Kadokawa. If Kadokawa wants the Vita version in the west, it will come.

If Kadokawa wants the vita version localized, then it'll happen.

Well, that's good to know. The game looks pretty cool so it would be a shame if we didn't get it at all.

Can you source this contract thing? It doesn't sound real. Lost Child is probably coming on both because the builds were developed in parallel, whereas one version of Coven legitimately uses older code, is a different project and would be a hassle to ship alongside a newer build on three platforms. Right place, right time and all that.

Do you really think I'm party to the contracts NISA signs with its partners? Obviously not, I'm just saying that it's Kadokawa's property and if they want the game to release on Vita and PS4, than it will do so. Lost Child is a perfect example of why Metal Max would come over on Vita if localized by NISA, as it's identical to the PS4 version and from the same publisher.

I mean, you certainly sounded confident that contracts were the difference between Lost Child and Coven, so I don't think it's weird to have asked for some data validation there.

To be clear, I also think we'll get Metal Max on Vita here. But again, I think it's probably because of build access and development complications that arise from that and not contractual obligations.

There is no contract for Coven, it's a NIS game, it's from their own company. So clearly it's a different situation. Kadokawa can stipulate that they want both versions brought over, and NISA has to oblige if they want to keep a good relationship. Since Coven is their own title, they can do whatever they want with it (like port it to Switch and not localize the Vita version).

Coven not coming over on Vita has everything to do with the Vita market drying up and NISA's disappointment with sales on the platform, and nothing to do with development issues. Insiders like AniHawk have basically confirmed this.

Lost Child was announced Sept last year. It is really anyone guess if Kadokawa would still demand a Vita version late in 2018.

So I've lived just long enough to see NISA become the Vita-enemy after being the MVP last year. How sad :(

I guess either this is "it's too early to announce Metal Max Xeno" or HOPEFULLY someone else has picked it up. Gaijinworks (so at least we get a physical release) or Aksys would be nice.

it's actually super related. if a project needs extra programming, then it will take more overhead. this makes the project riskier and less profitable (or not profitable).

the vita had a good long life. a lot longer than even sony believe it deserved. not many platforms live six years and vita managed to do that and still have games planned for this year.
