how are you getting yours tomorrow?
Wait, how are you getting it tomorrow? Are you a gaming journalist or what's the deal?
Can't speak for him but some shops will receive their copies tomorrow (and will probably start selling/shipping them). Gamesonly.at even has a countdown

Hyped but waiting on impressions. Guaranteed it'll have bugs.

I'm worried it'll be a complete mess on console, but I hope it won't be, I've been cautiously hyped for this game.

What will make or break this game is how quickly devs accept that the game is buggy and broken, and how fast they'll fix it then.

It will have bugs, like almost every big open world game has (Witcher 3 i'm looking at your flying horses and some undead robbers that couldn't get killed). I like the first 2-3 hours, seems to be a game you don't get every year.

And as german i will once again need to have a thick fur lol.

Damn, you played the first 3 hours ehh. Enjoying it so far? Does it give you the impression that you truly can go through the entire game without combat?

Sorry no, i only watched Gronkh (a german lets player) playing the game with a dev on youtube for about 2,5 hours (the version hasn't the day one patch, so some things aren't optimal). The videos are in german but the game version in english.

Seems to be pretty "hardcore". And if you don't want to fight you have to run or let others fight for you etc.. Atleast in the story sections it seems possible. And there are mutliple ways to solve sidequests or storyquests.

Definitely my first play through will be about trying to avoid combat as much as possible, play it as a simulator.

Can't wait! I haven't been this hyped for a game in ages. Too bad monster hunter is so good too.

Yeah but I mean game breaking ones. Plus i want to see if it actually plays as they've hyped. Been burnt too many times.

I really hope this game turns out well. It seems like such a breath of fresh air.

Same. Being a history guy I took a shot at it and preordered on psn few weeks ago because of the authentic realism they are going for. Not many games will try this. I can see the combat being divisive among critics but it looks fine to me

21.8GB Day One patch.

Or basically the whole game cause it only installs 161mb from the disc...... I really don't f'n like this direction, was the same with L.A. Noire. D:

I am 99% sure that mine installed the game from the disk. When it asks to download a patch I always decline then download the patch after the disk finishes installing.

I backed the physical edition (earl).
Is there a way to get a steam code from the homepage? I never used the code for the beta and that one is apparently not available anymore.

I'm very interested in this game but will not get it straight away. I imagine it will be riddled with bugs.

Will wait until the price drops and a few patches. Plus I have loads to play at the moment.

I hope we get our backer Steam codes before the release day. I miss my broadband connection, it will take days to download on this shitty mobile network. :(

Here we go, no special X options as it seems, audio in English, German and French. If you change the audio, it automatically downloads it, like it does with the English dub I want to play. 2,57gb, after that's done, I can start. :)

I'll have my Pro Version tomorrow.

Warhorse community manager said in a stream tody that you shouldn't play without the day 1 patch. It'll corrupt your old savegames.

Start fresh.

You can see that the LOD is pretty low in that Xbox screenshot, but it still looks really good overall. Hopefully the performance is stable.

I've had my dispatch confirmation much earlier than expected.
Just as well because that download will take all day or night for me!

i think i will wait for the GOG version later in the month, but the 15 minute gameplay trailer got me absolutely pumped for this game.

Not killing doesn't mean no combat, though. You can not kill people in MGS, but all you're doing is shooting them with non-lethal weapons, or putting them to sleep with super powerful punches instead of killing them with super powerful punches.

It's different from being able to solve every conflict without resorting to combat.

I personally don't mind, I plan on trying archery and killing a bunch of fools, but I think people are getting the wrong impression from that one achievement.

I'm excited for this game, but boy do those graphics look terrible. Obviously only one shot but the texture detail on all the houses/fence/distant foliage look like Elder Scrolls Oblivion.

I think this game is going to use very aggressive LOD to keep performance in check. Any buildings in the distance are probably going to look like that. Grass rendering is going to get cut off and distant fields are going to look empty. Things close to the camera will probably look great, though.

Huh, this is supposed to be possible? For the first time I'm actually really intrigued by this.
supposedly, except for the guy you are trying to kill from the beginning you can go through the game without killing anyone.

I'm gonna try and play the game like that; kind of like a medieval simulator (you wouldn't engage everyone that wants to fight you or rob you).

Ok, here we go, very first impression.

It runs smooth, so far, haven't done much yet but just running around is smooth (Hey, you never know).

Graphic wise..... I don't want to sound too negative, it looks pretty and, if you are are a few foot away from everything, even really good and it has nice effects to make it look good, but if you go close to everything, you literally feel and see that this is meant to be a PC game and unlike with many other third party games and ports in this gen where you almost see no difference anymore besides shadows, just a little bit better textures and of course FPS, you look at this game and knows immediately that it won't look like this on PC and that it is a, you could call it, downgrade, but, it still looks good, maybe I'm just nitpicking to give you a detailed expression, but here are a few videos where you can see what I mean.
