I think it's Sony who put a stop to the idea of Kraven turning up in Black Panther. Dammit that was my dream scenario for a sequel.

Hmm, Kraven and Mysterio? I've really been wanting to see Mysterio realized on the Big Screen.....
or would it more likely be Scorpion (that is who was hinted at at the end of SMH, right?)?

I want Mysterio to appear more, but I won't be mad if Kraven is the villain.

Maybe Scorpion could be the secondary like Shocker was?

I just want Kraven in ANYTHING (marvel studios related that is). He is villain number one!

I'm most excited for the Warrior Falls. I'm still impressed at how they build that entire set. And they seem to have gotten some very cool shots from it. Also just seeing these tribesmen challenging T'Challa for the throne is gonna be lit as hell.

By the way, the metal columns in the Tribal Council has Nigerian text from the 5th century engraved in them. I really wanna know what it says.

You guys ready for Bushmaster?
Something I like about the prospect of it is that previously, we sort of knew the grand plan leading up to Defenders, but now everything's an open book. Did that help you a lot as far as where you were able to go?
Well, it helped from the standpoint of this season is really about who is Luke Cage and getting much deeper into that, but also finding out different things about Mariah Dillard, also finding out things about Misty Knight, because now I can finally talk about the fact that she doesn't have her arm and getting her new arm and what that entails from an emotional standpoint.

Also, new villains that we have coming out. Mustafa Shakir has been announced as Bushmaster, and so we have a very interesting twist on him. You know, we have Gabrielle Dennis who is playing a character I can't name yet, but also is going to be an important factor. It's just really one of these seasons that I stand back and I'm like, "Oh man, this is just so much fun."
The music in Season One was so great, as we all expected it would be from you. But tell me about where your inspiration came from for the second season.
The music this season's even better. If last season was about introducing hip-hop to the Marvel Universe, this season is really about getting to the roots of hip-hop, which to me are the blues and reggae. And so, without getting too deep into plot, because everyone knows how music ties into the plot for the way that I conceived the show, we explored the entire diaspora of black music this season – in addition to exploring different cultures. It's really a fun season.

I rewatched Avengers: Age of Ultron, and I really think there's a bunch of beautiful shots in here. The cinematography is pretty good for what we got in the MCU. Even Thor's action looks good, and there's a lot of times when our heroes work together, like when Thor punches his hammer into Cap's shield to create an energy blast, or when Natasha rides Hulk up the cliffs. I love the scenes at the farm, and when they are evacuating the Sokovian civilians.

I think the bad things are that Whedon's used too much humors, and it's not really the quips I got a problem with, just that he could have out scenes that was there for levity and sometimes I didn't work - like when Quicksilver gets shot in the arm, and the police force gives him a stare like "it wasn't me," but other times it works, like when he runs into a station and tells everyone to evacuate, when nobody listens, he runs back and fires off a machine gun. That worked.

He could have cut out scenes like Thor little side trip to the holy water.

But on this rewatch I noticed many of the plots really do work. The whole intro in the forest when they invade Baron von Strucker's base is probably one of the best scenes in the entire MCU. The twins plot interwove perfectly into the main plot. The plot with Klaue in Africa works. Hell, the entire first hour is perfect. I love how Ultron was in the network, and not so much one physical presence, but instead saw himself like a God, that wanted to tear down humanity in order to create something better. Ultron was a good villain, had it not been for the quips he uses in specific places. Had he been more menacing in presenting himself like at the party scene - which was another perfectly shot scene - he could have been one of the greatest.

I didn't mind the whole Jarvis vs Ultron thing, I admit it is a bit out there, but I can forgive it as we are already dealing with an infinity stone giving him life. The whole way Infinity power was a big deal of the plot was fantastic too, and I loved how Vision was created with vibranium, and how Ultron's final body was created with vibranium I assume, or was it just ordinary metal? I know his final legion must have been made of standard metal seeing how easily the Avengers tears them apart.

Age of Ultron was much better on this rewatch.

Can I say how great the scene is where Tony is brainwashed with one of Wanda's visions and we see the dead Avengers and Chitauri fly into a portal. That's probably a top 5 beautiful shot in the MCU right there.

Oh yeah, more Doctor Helen Cho please. We better see her in Infinity War working on some groundbreaking science stuff, maybe bring Shuri into her lab at the Avengers headquarters for a movie or two. I kind of wish Quicksilver wasn't killed off. I mean, it's great to see our heroes can also die, but could have had a great brother-sister relationship here. I can forgive it now though, since we got T'Challa-Shuri, so he was a nice one-movie hero at least.

One last thing. I found myself confused as to where in the world I were during the transfer of Vision in the truck in South Korea. And I think that stems from it having a yellow tint to it, like we had during the Hulkbuster vs Hulk fight in Africa, and the yellow tint in Sokovia.

Honestly, nah. It's better-looking than the OG Avengers, but I think both of those are the ugliest MCU movies to date, by far. Up next would be like...Thor?

It's the overdone orange/blue tints that make everything in Ultron look completely lifeless, and the Korea chase/Hulkbuster scenes are ugly.

Going to have to disagree with that.

Yeah, I like AoU as well, but most of those shots are not great nor do anything special. Having some lens flare and energy blasts don't equate to a good shot. One of my most hated scenes (looks wise) in Ultron is that scene where Tony sees all the dead Avengers... it's so fucking dark you can't see anything. I saw it twice in the theatre and both times I was trying to look around the frame to find everyone and I couldn't. Even on Blu Ray at home, same issue. Whedon doesn't know how to light his movies in a visually pleasing way.

Still a bit salty that they wasted the Mjolnir pick up on Vision. Should've been Cap in Avengers 4, goddammit! Who knows if Mjolnir will even be a thing then, though.

I agree that The Dark World looks great too, that intro is beautiful!
I think Ant-Man has some pretty shots as well, and of course Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
I can't remember anything in Doctor Strange looking pretty other than when he is pulled through the astral lane, and maybe the final fight.
But GotG2 is freaking nuts, probably the prettiest of them all.

And the yellow tint in Age of Ultron is overdone for sure, but I'm a sucker for real dark scenes.

Natalie Portman was just asked during an interview for Annihilation, if she could see herself return to her role as Jane in the Thor franchise to which she answered:
I'm completely open to everything, but I have no news about that. (Laughs)
That said, I think she's completely done. Chris Hemsworth says he is done too, but if a great script comes out he'll be interested.

I like Natalie Portman and kind of want to see her back, just for Taika to get a complete field day with the character, but I don't know what he could do with her really. If they were to go the Thor Jane route, I am not sure Natalie has the chops for such a major role.

The only reason I'd want Jane Foster back is for Lady Thor but we got Valkyrie for that now.

Wouldn't mind seeing Jane having a role in the hypothetical female character Marvel extravaganza film. Would be nice to see her working with the heroes as part of the team as opposed to damsel in distress.

If Natalie Portman doesn't have the chops, then absolutely no one in MCU has.

I mean, she's great, and her performance in Jackie was incredible, and I really liked her in Black Swan. But I don't know if she can pull off Lady Thor with lots of action? I don't think I've seen her in an action film other than Star Wars.

But as Einchy says, we got Valkyrie now with Tessa who are more than capable.

Also, I want Aneka to turn up in the Black Panther sequel, so that we can have Ayo in a more prominent role. Make them girlfriends (for LQBT representation, and I don't think we have any gays in the current MCU) and be inspired by Coates' run where Aneka is imprisoned and so Ayo goes on a rescue mission. They don't have to adapt it one for one with the Midnight Angels prototypes (even though that would be cool) but at least use the base and then give them a meaningful mission in Wakanda. Hopefully in the future, the Dora Milaje will be more than just Okoye-and-the-rest-of-the-women and instead give some of these women a personality and name. Although I haven't seen Black Panther yet, so can't say if this is the case already.

No point in arguing, because Jane Thor is never gonna happen anyway.
Oh, I wasn't arguing with you. I read your post as "Naomi can do the Lady Thor character," and I was reminded I hadn't seen her in any action films, so I wouldn't be able to argue for or against really. But yeah you're right, I don't think we are gonna get Lady Thor either, and I would like Chris Hemsworth to stay on.

The problem with adapting Jane Thor to film is that her story is centered around her newly found worthiness in relation to Thor's lost worthiness.

At this point in the MCU canon, with Odin gone, Mjolnir destroyed, and Jane absent for several films, she'd be reduced to supergirl with a hammer. That's significantly less interesting to me.

It was never going to happen anyways, but before we got word of a Black Widow film coming out, I was secretly hoping for Natasha managing to pick up the hammer, and have Thor 4 be her and Hemsworth as co-leads. A new hammer is forged (or magically appears), Thor can't lift is, surprise-surprise, turns out Widow can.

I don't think they'd ever adapt the JaneThor story, just because the MCU has diverged so far from the comics with Asgard and all. Best we can hope for is the costume getting an adaptation and someone like Valkyrie putting it on.
