In between the lines, there a lot of obscurity,

The best part is that the show creator wrote the song, performed it with his band, and then they used it for the show.

For those who missed the discussion in Discord, here's the announcement from me:

My friends, two years ago, we faced a situation as a community. Crab had been in charge of our group, but he was vanishing more and more, and someone needed to keep the wheels on the community. I'd just found out that I was having my first child, and I was a full time student. I had nothing but time on my hands. I volunteered.
For the last two years I've made decisions for this community, and I like to think we've done pretty well. We've had a lot of great games, and also Phoenix Wright Mafia. ;) But in the last few months it's become clear to me that I am not who you need me to be anymore. My child is getting older. I'm nearing the end of school. I'm getting ready to go back to the workforce. It's time for someone else to take the reins

And so, effective immediatly, I'm going to be stepping down as the head of the community.

I love this community. I love the people here. But you deserve better than I can give you. You deserve better than any one person can give you.
So. Who takes charge? Who makes the decisions? Fortunately, a lot of the work of the community is already being handled by the teams. The Discord team, The Review team, and the Scheduling team. (The Outer Mafia team doesn't make decisions. They make message boards.)
So I looked there. Who would be able to make those decisions? I made a list of who I would choose, then I started privately going to the rest of you and asking who you would choose.
Happily, your lists and my list matched.
We need people who are motivated. Who are passionate. But who are also kind. And above all, who remember that this is a community of people who want to play games on their free time, and maybe we don't need to be super serious about that.
So I made a team.
And I tried to consider how they would work together. Where one person was quick to anger, I put in someone else who was laid back and funny
Where someone was motivated but unorganized, I put in someone who knew how to manage workflow
...I've probably talked about this enough. Would you like to know who it is?
They've already been at work for about a week.

Now, lest you think I'm throwing these poor fools into the fire and running away, Hecht, Grizzly, and I will be staying on as advisors. We will not be making decisions. That will be on the new overseers. But we will give advice and counsel. I will remain in administrative control of Outer Mafia and Discord. By which I mean I'll keep paying the bills.

But these men and women will be in charge from now on. Truthfully, they've BEEN in charge since I put them all in a room together for the first time, which was right around the last day of Buffy.
Please give them your support. If you have a problem, go to them. If you have a problem WITH them, you can come to me.

Thanks for everything you've done Retro. I already said my piece in Discord, but you can never be thanked enough for guiding the community for so long.

Don't think I'll ever be able to say it enough but thank you Retro for all the time and effort you put into this community. Just think, we'd still be on QuickTopic without OuterMafia! But really, I did worry we were going to lose this place once the old site went down but I'm happy and forever grateful that you and everyone involved were able to move us here and settle down. Thank you, Retro.

And of course I'm always thankful for your ONUW Wonderwall tradition. :p
