The reactions to the spoilers are kind of intrigued me.
For 27€ knowing that it'll drop far far below that price, I wonder if I should get this.

Anyone? Trying to work out if I should get the PS4 version just in case it turns out to be great and I can convince friends to get it, or if the PC version will look significantly better than the Pro version and I should just get that. Can't decide between PC and PS4 Pro. Did anyone do a good comparison between the betas?

As in good thing or bad thing? I should probably pick this up earlier to avoid spoilers.Ok uhm, I just saw some more non zombie enemies....uhm....ok....yeah...alright....
i'd say good thing, but I don't suffer from a certain phobiaAs in good thing or bad thing? I should probably pick this up earlier to avoid spoilers.
I really hope more give it a chance, it is really a fun game.
I love kojima but let's move on.
the streamer i watched who is farthest along, is 10 hours in, has 37% of the first map explored and has just encounteredCan someone please spoil what's in the game?
I mean, other enemies, what kind of missions you faced until now, how the story develops...I mean, I only saw that enemy posted in a video yesterday and nothing else.

btw stealth kills are REALLY worth it. if you stealth kill an enemy you don't carve them open, you send their body back through a wormhole which gives you way more Kuban. A wanderer that normally gives 700 Kuban will ive 1050 Kuban when extracted after a stealth kill
I do get it but I also get these poor developers are trying their hardest to please the fans while being overwhelmed in kojima's shadow.Lol you don't get the point about Kojima obviously. Its not about moving past the fact he isnt at the helm anymore. Its about how a company treated him and the legacy he started. Its fair enough that people take a stand, he was treated very poorly.
What does that CQC stat actually do? AFAIK (at least in the survivor tree) there isn't CQC moves like MGSV (outside the counter and leg sweep stuff) so where is that damage being applied? Melee weapons?I'm currently level 10. You level up by using Kuban Energy. Each time you level up, you'll gain a skill point.
I didn't use any skill points until I was level 8, lol. Because I like using the spear, I put a point into the thrusting skill which gives me one more hit for a combo.
Other than that, I used points for CQC and put the rest into stamina, life and strength.
There are times you may come across broken equipment. When you repair and craft them, underneath attack and durability, you'll see a range of numbers. For example, Attack (40 - 65). What that means is when you craft it, the Attack stat will have a value within that range. So you can end up with something stronger than what you have or weaker.
Yup! Definitely the way to go, especially with how expensive Oxygen can get. Making use of the Kuban crystals (which refill everytime you return to base) and Lure (which you can craft) can help you get behind them.
yes, strength increases your melee weapon damageWhat does that CQC stat actually do? AFAIK (at least in the survivor tree) there isn't CQC moves like MGSV (outside the counter and leg sweep stuff) so where is that damage being applied? Melee weapons?

sure thing man, let me just type out a detailed summary of everything we know about the storyline right now for someone who doesn't care one bit about the gameDon't care one bit about this game but I wanted to stop by anyway to hear how much they fucked up the storyline. How bad is it?

No, the singleplayer campaign plays one two big open world maps and is focused on exploration and survival. You build up your base camp where you build facilities and let your NPCs work, send NPCs out on missions. Out in the open world you do also do some tower defense mainly for side missions or to establish new wormhole teleporters for fast travelIs the story mode pretty much entirely a fort defense game like the Beta?
Everything was nanomachines, the guy who shits himself is the hero, there's a J-Pop broadcasting mech, and apparently there's a guy with a messed up face whose job it's been to shadow you the entire time and is super important but actually has no importance to anything whatsoever.Don't care one bit about this game but I wanted to stop by anyway to hear how much they fucked up the storyline. Speculation gotta speculate, let's focus on the present and talk about what is discussed here.I remember some posters saying it kinda went both ways?
Like he would go over budget and stuff, and not meet deadlines. I'm not sure what's true or not. But it was way back on GAF.

No, it seems it's way more than that but you have good reason to believe its just a tower defense because the marketing for this game is bad.
The game itself though is really good.
I had fun with the Beta, and Best Buy is selling it for $32 with a $10 gift card. That's hard to pass up.

No.

Lol I legit spit out my coffeeSure, have everything I know so far, be warned that this is a spin off with no real continuation to the franchise, is a what if and nothing more, yet, please be a good user and don't spoil everyone, please?
I don't like how Kojima has treated Hayter which also started a legacy of his own inside MGS universe, so I guess what goes around comes around.
I don't think this is a place to discuss such thing.Yeah, people acting like kojima was a saint should remove their rose tinted glasses. No, it doesn't excuse what konami has done mind ya but let's not forget Kojima is not entirely innocent.
Any more details on the story? More than the opening cutscene? And are there cassette tapes like in PW/TPP?the streamer i watched who is farthest along, is 10 hours in, has 37% of the first map explored and has just encounteredthese kinda spider enemies that run along the walls and ceiling and attack you

There are cassette tapes, yes. I haven't seen a proper long cutscene again yet, but from the launch trailer we know there are.Any more details on the story? More than the opening cutscene? And are there cassette tapes like in PW/TPP?
I'm not but I also don't think a grief between a company and a creative from 2 years ago had nothing to do with a game where he doesn't take a part. You can always make your own thread and discuss this, I'm here to talk about Metal Gear Survive, nothing more.Sorry but your not the ruler of the forum. This is a series created by Kojima we are allowed to talk about him.

I'm down for thatI wonder if we should make an ERA Survive discord so it's easier to get groups going in beta
