Australia
Was up to the last phase of Ansem on my no continue run when my dog jumped up for cuddles and distracted me, looked back at the screen to see myself die.

Fuck.

Translations for the Link System via Famitsu came out. Ariel and Meow-Wow confirmed as summons.
I was curious at what the "certain conditions" will be. I hope it's not too restrictive. We see water area when Sora Link Ariel, so you can only summon her when there is water near the area? It also uses all of your MP as well...

Wait certain conditions? O great plz don't tell me these aren't menu based either.

Don't be a ffxv situation with the darn summons

I like situation commands as long as they are balanced properly. It was pretty nice in 0.2. The KH3 trailers seems to give an impression that it might be OP considering how they changed the charge bar works from 0.2. I will wait for judgement since it's just a trailer.

So dimension link and summon have been fused

Command Styles and Drives have been fused
That seems like a decent way of doing it. Fewer option in combat sucks, but a smaller menu is nice and maybe the new system makes up for that.

The organisation member had a few good ones, but yeah for the most part they weren't great

It possible that the bar fills faster on easy or it's just for the trailer.

Dev screens show that there might be a second command menu, ala KH2. 0.2 didn't have that arrow, but it might just be for dev stuff.

No idea what could go there since summons are links and everything else seems to be situational commands.

Could it possibly be Limits? I imagine that's what the Goofy special attack and the Toy Story rocket move are.

The Big Thunder Mountain attraction flow and the Toy Story Rocket attack end with the same animation, so it is possible they belong to the same category. Either that or they weren't subtle when reusing animations for different special moves.

I always assumed attraction flow will be tied to situation command. It makes me curious if there is any combat mechnaics that they haven't revealed yet.

Attraction flow seems to work just like DDD, but more restricted.
I got the impressiom that the Rocket is a situational command(as in "get close to rocket and press triangle"), but it could also be a limit of some kind.

Attraction flow wasn't in Dream Drop Distance. KH3 is the first time this mechanic is being used now in a game.

Flowmotion, which I think you are referring to, is toned down. You can use it to bounce on walls, swing on poles, and attack enemies / travel great distances via the shotlock command (this last one might be Atheltic Flow, a sub-category of Flowmotion).

I'm totally fine with flowmotion as long as they prevent you from wall jumping. The level design in DDD feels disjointed from the gameplay mechanics since you can outright skip pathways just by jumping past it, it's a shame really.

Flowmotion is fine so long as the environments are planned with it in mind. DDD's were still clearly designed with a more traditional KH move set of high jumps, gliding and such in mind and as such flowmotion really breaks all the traditional platforming. I actually did my 2.8 playthrough of DDD limiting myself on flowmotion usage and that made a lot of the levels more interesting to explore. Especially trying to get to "secret" chests the way it was intended from a level design & old move set POV. I think it's possible to get everything without the more broken mega jumps.

I still enjoyed flowmotion because wall jumping was fun and overall it made getting around so fast, but yeah, they should've restricted it or made it so that you get the most OP moves really late in the game so that the first time through worlds would be a more traditional KH experience.

I was never a fan of Flowmotion, also because it got me killed quite often, because I touched a wall or something and was stuck in the animation.
It's fine in 0.2. Let's keep it that way.

Is the Cave of Wonders head the worst boss fight in the series? It's been awhile since I've played some of the handheld games, so maybe there's some boss I'm forgetting, but I can't really think of any offhand.

In the series? No. It's not a very good boss since you can easily fall off and it isn't easy to get back up, and you have Heartless flinging themselves at you but there's a lot of other bosses that are worse.

Voltty Days has like a few very tedious bosses. They are getting my vote.
Dschafar from KH2 on critcal is pretty bad, too.

I honestly don't remember much about Days's bosses. I think Leechgrave was pretty annoying, but that's about it.

Now that I think about it, I can barely remember anything about Days at all. I feel like I enjoyed it for the most part at least, which is more than I can say for CoM. I should replay it at some point.

Dustflier, Leechgrave , the neverland dragon and Infernal Engine are the worst bosses of that game.

There are way better ways of spending your time.
Xion is the only good part of that game. I actually bothered to do the optonal challenges for her boss fight, since the orginal fight was a bit too easy for me.

oh really? that's cute. I am glad they went with the color they showed at the trailer, not the one leaked before. I know his skin changes to the leaked one when he does his keyblade transformation, but the default in cutscenes will be the current one and the hair color is not purple..

Base game untouched after release. Complete package. Like, of course if the game needs it I hope they add things they couldn't in time or fix things via patches but optimally it would be the same game at release as a few years later.

So the ''roadmap'' I'd like the best would not be adding stuff to main game but rather standalone expansions with other playable characters I have been talking about here. Either few smaller ones (3-6 hourish very high quality and tightly paced episodes) for like 15-20$/€ or one big one for 30-40$/€. (10+ hours) They could sell it boxed Lost Legacy style if they wanted. Summer+Winter 2019 release or Winter 2019 for the big one. Something like that.

OT: what did Malyse do this time? He/She was quite a ban magnet back at Gaf at one point. edit: nevermind, I saw the thread.

Don't do any important main story stuff as DLC. Those are the worst.

Kingdom Hearts has really good potential for DLC since they can just add Disney worlds as DLC without them having much importance to the overall story. I want complete package and I don't want DLC stuff being important part of the game, but if that allows for late release Disney movies like Moana and Zootopia to be in KH3, I would be happy for it. If this happens, would prefer it to be packaged with few worlds + additional stuff for a big Final Mix DLC, rather than selling individual worlds.
There is also potential for standalone, different perspective DLC, like having Riku's journey while Sora was doing his thing (although I assume some part of Riku's stuff will be playable in the main game). Personally, I wouldn't really want this direction.

I kind of just want extra content similar to 2FM.

Make an additional area for high-end fights like Cavern of Remembrance and give us some new optional fights to tackle.
