Don't worry, it will be back soon. :P

Also, one minute in and Arin is already trashing an 18 year old N64 game for its graphics. XD
Yay! I like the avy.

And yeah, I love how fast Arin trashed it. I didn't read the comments but I hope people were like 'IT'S THE BEST GAME EVER!'. Oh man if Arin has trouble in this game, the comments are gonna be something.

I felt really bad for Dan during Madden lmao. They should have played NFL Blitz.

Mohawk & Headphone Jack is one of the most unpleasant looking games I have ever seen. I hope Arin really did burn his copy. I never want to see that game again.

as funny as it was, I was one of the ones who wasnt really feeling the Arin/Dan dynamic when Jon left so I stopped watching. It was unfair of course, because they got much better together.

Honestly, I still like the Jon/Arin dynamic more than the Dan/Arin one despite how shitty of a person Jon is these days. Arin is a better straight man and Dan is just way too chill for me to really find that funny except on rare occasions. I'm just more into over the top humor I guess. Because of that I really only watch episodes with games I care about like DDLC as opposed to just watching everything when it was Jon/Arin. Oneyplays and Supermega have kind of taken their place for me as the dynamic is closer to classic Grumps.

I'm somewhat the same. Before I used to watch grumps religiously now I can watch other things and don't mind having unseen episodes unless it's a game I'm enjoying or enjoyed.

I've come to really like Arin and Dan's chemistry, but I will admit that my favourite time of Game Grumps was when it was Arin and Jon with Barry's edits. I could never go back to it, though, totally happy to have Arin and Dan for the rest of the show's lifespan.

I've been thinking recently about what would happen if Arin and or Dan decided to move on sometime soon. I personally think it would be the end of Game Grumps and they would totally rebrand it with Matt and Ryan or something like that

Matt and Ryan taking over wouldn't be far fetched, but their humor in super mega is more aching to oneyplays which is why it's a shame they're all fighting.

I don't see Arin or dan going anywhere tbh. Maybe Arin if for some reason his voice acting career took off but he gives grumps priority so it's unlikely. And Danny doesn't seem to mind not spending as much time on his music as Jon did about his own channel so for him as long as he gets time off here and there he shouldn't have issues in theory.

Of course as they get older there's always the chance they outgrow game grumps and want to pursue other paths.

First off wait they're all fighting? What did I miss? Chris/Arin's episodes together are honestly some of the funniest things.

And also yeah I was referring to if they just decided to settle down and get tired of doing a let's play. Maybe just hang around for a while, and let someone else take it over. The subscriber base is big enough now where it'd be weird just to replace one of the hosts

Arin and Danny moving on is something that will inevitably happen. I'd hate to see it happen, and when it does I'd hope they prepare for it, announce it ahead of time, and close up all currently opened series'. I'm sure one day PB & Jeff will also move on. Jirard and Alex will move on. All my favorites will stop doing their thing. But maybe by then others will replace them. I'd hate for Lazy Game Reviews, Nostalgia Nerd (Not Critic), TechMoan and 8-Bit Guy to all stop at once. But I'm sure other old tech reviewers would crop up.

I mean as long as it's announced as a plan I don't mind as much. The Jon departure happened so fast. It really should have been announced but I have a feeling it was just Jon getting a sudden change of heart and deciding "you know what, I don't like this plan. I am leaving because I don't want this to be my life" one day and hopping right on a plane. So I'd hope if Arin or Danny ever decide they can't do it anymore they'll have a bunch of stuff in the pipeline and will have plenty of time to make announcements and wind things down. (Unless they just get a replacement for Danny or Arin and continue. I'd guess Danny would stop before Arin would.)

What we have is much better than the one-a-day-maybe-but-sometimes-not videos we got during the Jon days right before the "reboot".

Yeah there are no official answers as it's none of our business technically, but they all stopped following each other on Twitter and stopped communicating. Chris was also writing some passive aggressive tweets against an anonymous target.

Go back and watch Punch Out and Mario Bros 2. Those two games are still amazing playthroughs and they bounce off each other completely naturally even then. One thing I do note is that they've definitely gotten more progressive/careful about their language (like when they are discussing Birdo).

Also, not technically Game Grumps itself, there is a new Ninja Sex Party video out on Tuesday!

It's still a different dynamic. If it's not your type of humor, it won't matter how well they bounce off each other.

As far as being more progressive/careful goes, that's honestly been a negative for me since I doubt they'd do my favorite bit these days.

Today's Dan and Arin are still pretty much the same as day 1 Dan and Arin though.

Yeah if you don't like Grumps now you wouldn't like that, but if you've grown to love their antics you'd be hard pressed to really dislike early Dan and Arin compared to now.

I read Woof's response wrong and thought he was talking about just not liking the dynamic at all, not realizing he says it got better. My bad.

I don't like the dynamic as much as I liked Jon and Arin. But I've grown to appreciate it just fine. It just didn't work for me when it started whatsoever since Arin went from what was essentially the straight man with occasional bursts of energies into the more dynamic one while Dan has taken a different role all together that Jon had being that he hasn't played many games (well prior to Grumps).

It probably helps that Jon burned all bridges with people like me and I can't even enjoy the old episodes so that's what ultimately got me to give Dan a fair shot instead of being as dismissive when it wasn't more of the same than I wanted.

I pretty much agree with this on the matter. Also super hyped for the new NSP video

I've always been the opposite. I watched Game Grumps originally because of Arin and I tolerated Jon. Jon was always a follower of Arin's and it showed in the videos. A typical serious conversation would go something like...

Jon: Man (thing he likes) is awesome!
Arin: Well, not really if you look at it like this.
Jon: You're right! Of course (thing he likes) is awful!

It's like he was often times afraid that if he said something Arin didn't agree with that Arin wouldn't like him.

Then there was the far more annoying trait of him screaming ARRRRiiiiiiiiiin when he had nothing better to do. It wasn't funny in the least.

I really liked Jon a lot better than Arin at the very beginning, (which is funny because I started watching because of Arin) but after a while Jon started to grate on my nerves, which was when I quit watching for a while. Then suddenly I saw that Jon was out, Danny was in, and they were playing a bunch of my favorite NES games, so I started watching again. And Danny is just the coolest dude. He's just such a sweet and laid back guy, and I honestly find that really inspiring.

I mean, this is probably the best example on grumps itself for why Jon is messed up. Probably no coincidence that this happened shortly before he left.

yeah

uhm

I never found Jon funny, and I didn't realize how big of an open racist he was during the GG days.
Arin screamed the N word during one episode with him so it's not like he was a saint. The difference is that yes Jon was shown to be despicable and continued to grow his beliefs until the culmination 2 years ago, while Arin seems to have gotten more progressive with time.

Yeah, Arin's past isn't much better nor is the present of a lot of his friends, but he's certainly at least somewhat aware of the current climate. Whether it's his true beliefs or just trying to remain as controversy-free as possible is of course impossible to confirm.

I'm not saying Arin is a saint

I'm saying that Jon veered off into the alt right
And Arin didn't, and has seemingly changed.

It's not surprising, you could probably dig into the closet of anyone who was doing New Grounds at that time and find that stuff. Doesn't make it right, and I don't think he's ever publically come out and apologised for it... but he's definitely a different person to Jon "I think the richest black person is more violent than the poorest white person" Tron.

Lol wow, I've never seen that before. It at least seems Arin has progressed a lot since then.

Also, new NSP video coming, good stuff.

I don't usually like their music, but that wasn't half bad.

But there's a song that he's mimicking with the way he sings the chorus that is also from the 80s that is in the back of my head and I'll be bothered if nobody mentions what the name is. I know it's decently popular.
