If the anime ever continues and Madhouse get a team together to continue, I hope Bisky's theme plays when she hulks up and giving her training talk. I'd die happily.

It's a shame it wasn't released in the OST so no clean version =/

Fucking DC sounds like motherfucking Nen DDay.
Pretty much! People are going to get popped immediately, and they will no comprehension of what's happening to them.
It's why Netero went to the DC and was all "nah this ain't for me". It's not a place where you test your martial arts skills against strong opponents, you're just trying to not run into things like a gaseous wish granting monster while dodging a human taming beast.
Yup. Netero wanted to measure his strength against an opponent. The Dark Continent is nothing more than an endless struggle for survival, enduring against the harsh wall of nature.

I know right?!

And that's just its normal fucking wildlife

The scale is insane, you can even see Isaac Netero, Zzigg Zoldyck and Linnet Audoble in that panel, they'e literally twigs.
I love the detail in that panel. It's like Togashi picked up a modern Berserk volume and was like, "I need to emulate this." Beyond must be insane if he needs to go back to that fucking place. Just the fact alone that there's a native creature with the name of "Hellbell" would make any sane person nope the fuck out of going there.

He's gotta be confident for a reason. He was barred from going back until Papa Netero died but all those decades has given him so much time to plan accordingly, his team of temps are literally specialists that probably all have specific powers to survive in that chaotic land.

And yes, everything there is one big nope. Don arguably the biggest nope of them all, who knows if that guy is actually still "human" - perhaps he's the sixth calamity they bring back this time.

Isn't Don Gon's great great granddad or some shit? I'm honestly expecting Beyond's team to get one shotted because of hubris.

Hopefully Beyond's team put in work, they don't seem strong physically but the Zodiacs implied Beyond has a humongous advantage, I can't imagine Beyond would recruit useless newbs onto his team. DC is all about surviving mother nature, and I imagine Beyond's team is tailored to that.

If anything I think the Zodiacs are gonna get fucked up, they joined a race that Beyond has been preparing for decades, and the one guy that could of been valuable to them also joined Beyond's team LOL

And who knows what Don even is. He's given me Raizen vibes lol

Lol, he's probably been on there for so long that his touch could melt people or something. True, I keep forgetting that the Zodiacs are heading there. I don't think they know what to really expect unless Netero left some notes in an audio tape or something.

Bisky is a far more seasoned Nen master and teacher. She makes no guarantees that she can teach Nen in 2 weeks, because that most likely isn't enough time for Bisky to instruct everyone on the basics to her standard. Every individual has their own different Nen potential, and Bisky is fully aware of that fact. Kurapika appears to be teaching the very bare minumum.

Maybe that's the difference, basically Bisky is quality while Kurapika is speed with just the bare minimum.

Can't wait for the Viz translation of

Yep that's the one that's bugging me, let's see how they translate it in the official version

Thats exacly how i feel, Ging just joined the winning team.

I wonder if/when they'll reveal how the mutated chimera ant queen got to the human world, someone's got some explainin to do.

She was missing a hand (that Kite found) so something must have happened.

The easiest way I remember who's going there, is it to look at who isn't going there. It's a very short list.

Maybe some of the survivors from the other expeditions are going to be introduced later, maybe they are in the V6 / Hunters side.

Memory's a bit hazy on this one but if I remember correctly only three survivors out of the couple dozen that survived from the five trips that brought back survivors actually were able to carry on with their daily lives. Beyond is one, who's the other two I wonder.

There's also Isaac, Zzigg, and Linne who went and came back sane. We know nothing about Zzigg but given that he was/is a Zoldyck I assume the trip didn't break him.

Yeah i also don't remember exacly how many but there were some that return to normal life.

Are Beyond's team taking a different ship?

They should, i don't see how they can release Beyond and go to DC without having there own ship.

Just did a quick reread

So it seems like there's been at least 149 voyages to DC, and these are just the recorded/ones that they know about. Of the 149, only 5 voyages [the five that used "The Guide"] brought back survivors and a Calamity, any recorded trip that didn't use the guide ended in complete failure. Beyond was involved in the last of five "successful" voyages. Altogether a grand total of 28 survivors survived from those five trips, and the only one living today is Beyond.

Isaac's trip with Zzigg and Linne was secret, it wasn't documented/recorded and and thus it could be considered separate from the the 149 recorded voyages. So from this logic it's possible Zzigg and Linne could be alive although I personally doubt it.

So unless there's other survivors out there from other undocumented trips, it's just the three at best.

Ultra Ok so those guys that came back to normal life have died, i really sought at least a couple was still living. Also Linne is definitely alive we have seen her, she the oldest person in the hunter organization that haven't speak for years. Remember her from the election arc?

Ah, you're right about Linne! She only appeared for a couple panels, forgot about that. I think Zzigg is definitely dead though, just a theory. AI possessed him, when he died it latched onto Alluka.

But yeah, of those 28, a few did end up returning to their normal lives, but even they are now dead. Only Beyond remains.

I love the ants that could have been extinction level events if they weren't lucky enough that the queen died is the lowest level calamity

Hey, I just picked the Hunter x Hunter manga back up and am excited to continue this excellent series.
I will probably not be reading the OT, due to open spoilers, but will respond to replies.

I have just reached the chapter where Gon and Killua get briefed by the group trying to collect all the defense cards and steal other cards from inside Greed Island

I mean obviously there's probably going to be descendants of any long-running known clans/families there, since it's basically where humanity originated but I wonder if we'll actually see a Kurta in DC, alive. I wonder what Kurapika's reaction to that would be, maybe he or she is friends with Don.

Looks like something that would benefit mankind, let's try to drag it off the DC.

The Calamities in general are just so fucked up

Pap especially

uzwwz4bpw72tfbmq6tkyvqkt7s35s3rg_hq.jpg

I do wonder though if all the Ai's in DC have a similar power to Nanika, or if she's unique in that regard. Perhaps the wishing ability is Alluka's Nen ability but the aura of a Calamity via Nanika makes it so much more scary and powerful.

The DC gets into Lovecraftian/Cosmic Horror style entities. So far beyond what humanity is capable of its better to try and avoid them and hope they don't notice us.

Yeah, Kurapika is so self destructive that I don't think he really cares about some medicine, knowledge of his eyes is whatever - if there's an obstacle he'll make some huge pledge with a sacrifice and it get it done that way.
